Speaker 1 (00:09):
Alright, coach, ready, when you are all right?
Speaker 2 (00:10):
Thank you, Charlie, definite and everybody, I'll get rolling.
Speaker 3 (00:15):
You know, when something's not working, we shift from the
question of why isn't it working to what do we
need to do to get right?
Speaker 2 (00:23):
And right now that I'll call.
Speaker 3 (00:24):
For for some change and I'll take over the role
as the defensive coordinator and all that entails. Then enjoys
my right hand man for years, and he took the
news like the pro is as a defensive staff, including Joe.
We're all consumed by getting it right and that's exactly
what we intend to do. And as far as like
(00:46):
heading out on the trip and getting rolling, you know,
as we head out tonight. I've been a fan of
extended road trips, whether it's training camp or you know,
in season to.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
The opposite coast.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
It can serve a lot of purposes. And this trip
that is literally the definition of that. And so for
all of us, the players, the coaches, were really consumed
by getting it right and getting better and a week together.
We need that, every bit of it. Finally, I'll end
on some tough news on the injury front. Trey Amos
(01:18):
fractured his fibula and that will knock him out for
a while, so and then some significant time. So all
that said, I'll get started with you guys, and we'll
get wrong.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
Okay. Con what led to the decision to do this?
Speaker 2 (01:33):
How long you've been thinking about that? But what? Why? Why? Now?
I think now just after watching a review on the tape.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
You know if we felt off, you've heard me say
that word John, and so I thought this is the
time to add into that and lean in.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
Joe and I have got a great vibe together. John.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
We've worked together, you know, through our time in Dallas,
and we'll lean back into that space where you know
it'll help me along the way and all that leads
up into the game and call it into that space.
So having Joe, you know, and I've been in that
vibe together, we'll lean into that again.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
And we'll do that now.
Speaker 4 (02:13):
Niki and Dan, what does this mean exactly for Joel's
Joe's role going forward?
Speaker 1 (02:20):
If you're handling play.
Speaker 4 (02:21):
Calling and everything that, you know, defensive coordinator.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
What that role is yep.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
So Joe will be uh involved all week obviously the
rest of the staff and you know, planning and getting
ready for the game and then on game day he'll
be in the press box and uh, you know with
the vision on the coverage and the things that we
need to do. And so, like I said, Nickain fortunate
that we've been in that battle rhythm together during our
time together in Dallas, and so we're going to try
(02:48):
to slip into that that spot, you know, as quickly
as we can.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
To Sean, yeah, I know you guys have a lot
of logistics that.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
You're figuring out this with God that's going to Madrid,
but specifically about when it comes to you know, practice field.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Getting ready for gaming, the operations at the stadium.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
What's sort of work when it's so preparing for that.
Speaker 4 (03:11):
You know, throughout the year and during a season without
you know, being able to be on site there.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
Yeah, to Sean, that's a good one man. That's uh,
spent a lot of people here. I spent a lot
of time, you know to go into the spot to
get ready. That's from practice to the hotel to where
we'll go to when's the best time to travel and
you know time difference and you know how to speed
that up as we're going. So we've put a lot
of work in. We've done some trips together, but not
(03:35):
you know, overseas together. So we've tried to make it
as much like a normal extended road trip so the
players can just kind of focus on getting you know,
exactly everything we want lined up to play like we
can so, but you're exactly right, there's been an army
of people here behind the scenes that have taken trips,
gotten things ready. So number of crew already went over
(03:57):
earlier and so they're ready for us.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
David, All did.
Speaker 5 (04:04):
Dan, what did you talk about with Doron in terms
of his injection yesterday and regardless of why he did
what he did.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
Yeah, So I had a chance to visit with him
today and you know, even regardless of the scenarios, man like,
just the disciplines into that spot, David, that's what we
talked about, you know, retaliation, not all of that aside,
man like protecting the team, you know, top of the pile.
And so they'll go through the process with the NFL
this afternoon regarding an appeal, and then I'll have an
(04:35):
update you know, for you just as soon as we
can on that spot.
Speaker 5 (04:41):
Tom, I guess a follow up question on that point,
is he able to travel with the team if suspended,
and can you provide a list of any other players
who aren't going to be traveling to trade?
Speaker 2 (04:53):
No, you're not allowed to travel if you're suspended.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
And so the four o'clock appeal or this afternoon whatever time,
that will be the determination time.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
If it wasn't settled by the you know, takeoff, then
you'd have to still wait.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
And then yeah, we'll give you an update tonight about
who wouldn't else go.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
Trying to think who you'd be thinking. Terry will go.
Speaker 3 (05:17):
He will not play part of that rehab process for him,
but like I said, Schel will send out a list
for it tonight.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
JP.
Speaker 6 (05:30):
Hey, Dan, I'm just curious, you know, you kind of
said with Jadeen you're gonna take it as it comes.
How does yesterday's lost to Detroit impact your guy's decision
making process with Jayden?
Speaker 3 (05:40):
Yeah, we didn't have anything that had impacted We haven't
been there JP with us yet. Focus has been on
him getting better. He's he's doing all the right stuff.
Heeling like you know, this guy kneels fast. So we
haven't had any discussions regarding that, JP.
Speaker 6 (05:54):
Okay, and then just any update on if Jayden's gonna
go to Spain, he will not.
Speaker 4 (06:02):
Scotty dan As taking over for you know, defensive play
calling here, what type of an impact do you think you.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
Can make.
Speaker 3 (06:16):
Going into his tough decision, Scott, obviously, to go into
that hopeful that we'll see, you know, kind of the execution,
the consistency that we're searching for, and that's a number
one top of the pile to get that part right.
We've been digging for it, we haven't had it, we
haven't found it. And so that type of consistency and execution, Scott,
(06:36):
that's that's what I'm after, and that's the only reason
behind the move.
Speaker 2 (06:41):
So that's that's what I'm gonna have to chase first.
Speaker 4 (06:45):
No, no, I don't know if you caught this.
Speaker 1 (06:46):
I want to get this quote right.
Speaker 4 (06:48):
Marcus Marioti said after the game, I don't think.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
We are who we think we are.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
So that being said, do.
Speaker 4 (06:55):
You do you think, in a sense it's time to
recalibrate expectations, even from the fans and everybody in your building,
of kind of where this team is going forward.
Speaker 3 (07:04):
I think that's a fair question after a difficult game,
you know, and we've got to dig in, man, Like
I said, we've got to put everything we can scot.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
Into this game. Then where we're at, there's the buy
after that.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
But that's I'm not looking too far down the line,
like how much better can we get this week?
Speaker 1 (07:18):
Man?
Speaker 3 (07:18):
That's that's it. It's cool to have everybody going together.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
That's a that's a big deal for us to have
everybody together.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
Go get our processes right, get our aligned of our
football like we want to do it. It's gonna be
an awesome environment. But as far as like big picture stuff,
I'm pretty like locked in on the present one. Now
I'll have a little more space to do that during
the bye. There's not a player that I respect more
than Marcus so his insights are usually spot on and
(07:45):
you have to ask him. But you know, we're not
heading the markets. It's fair to say that we're not
hitting doing the things we need to do to be
who we want to be.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
Thanks Jan Jick, get Ben, Hey Dan.
Speaker 7 (08:07):
The culture that the brotherhood inside that locker room was
such a big, big deal last year, and I'm not
suguessing that it's fractured, but last year it seemed to
really lift you guys up. Why is that impact not
seemingly taking place this year.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
It's a great question Ben, the consistency and the things
that we need to do as a team that has
to lift us up. And if we do those things,
you get a win, then you get back onto the
space that you want to get to. So being in
this slump that we've been in emotionally, it's hard and uh,
but then you got it right, like you have to
(08:41):
lift one another up, you have to perform to get
those results as well.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
And I just felt the.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
You know, up and down nature of our performances have
not led to us performing better and we're gonna digging
hardl Man, all right, thanks, coach, appreciate it, all right, Charlie,
safe travel man alright, thanks everybody, see you there.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
Okay, okay,
