Speaker 1 (00:00):
What up. Hey?

Speaker 2 (00:01):
Every week my colleague Chick will sit down with DQ
after a game, and this week Diekey said, you sent
him a text on Monday. He didn't share the contents
of it, but he seemed to be pretty impressed by it.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
I don't know if you want to share between me
and him. I did.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
What What was your motivation for for that?

Speaker 1 (00:22):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
It just felt like it was it was all my
heart to cinema text, so I did.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
When you went back and rewatched the film, was there
anything that stood out from your performance or I guess
specifically with the turnovers, anything you wish you would have
done differently.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Not turn the ball over. Yeah, that's pretty much it.

Speaker 4 (00:41):
We saw Terry be able to get out there and
practice today for the first time in a while. I
know it's too early to say if he's gonna be back,
but what kind of difference was his return make for
you guys on offense.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
I think he'ld come back and you know, contributing the
way that he does. You know, obviously Terry's been doing
this at a high level for X amount of years,
so obviously, you know, we get them back, you know,
it would be good for us offensively.

Speaker 4 (01:04):
If you guys as an offense on early downs, you
guys have done pretty well, but third downs have sort
of been, you know, an issue for you guys overall.
What do you think has been a constant thing there?
If there has been one so far this season?

Speaker 3 (01:15):
I mean, hopefully we stay out of the third downs,
but if that's we get to that point, we just
got to execute.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Jaden.

Speaker 5 (01:21):
After the game on Monday, you're very forthcoming saying, you
know it's on me. You know I lost focus. Why
was that important for you to kind of take that
ownership of that.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
I mean, that's what quarterback does, but you know it
was on me, So I take accountability.

Speaker 5 (01:40):
This game on Sunday against Dallas, how do you see it?
Obviously this team has done a great job bouncing back
from a loss this season. How's this team gonna respond?

Speaker 3 (01:49):
We responding, No, go out there and play hard, and
we got to execute because it's a tough team that
we're playing division rivals. So we're looking to get a
win and I know they are too, and.

Speaker 6 (01:59):
We know that you seem to have a like to
put the really good place behind you right away. Play
like the other night, Like, what's that process for you
putting that behind you, how long does it take does
it you know, how long does it stay with you?

Speaker 3 (02:12):
I mean, we had a short week, so I had
to move on pretty quickly. But I mean I don't
really want to talk about like my process and what
I go through, but yeah, you know, short a week,
we got to move on, look forward.

Speaker 6 (02:23):
And then going back to Terry, like, what does he
add like? And do you feel like you guys are
at that point where you can get your rhythm back
pretty quick when he does come back.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
Yeah, I think so I was just to flow the game.
Everybody got to get a rhythm offensively, and you know,
once we do and everything's flown, you know, we can
move the ball up and down the field. But we
got to go out there execute and focus on the
little things, the attention to detail, execution at his finest,
with so many.

Speaker 7 (02:51):
Injuries at the receiver spot, what has that been like
for you? Just very little practice time with these guys
just to work on timing and whatnot.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
I mean, I'll say for anybody in this league, it's tough,
but you know, you kind of get thrust into those
situations because unfortunately things happen, so you know, you can't
really change who you are. The preparation stays the same,
and that's why in all season, work on your fundamentals,
your individual games so you're able to be accurate and

(03:20):
things like that, and just kind of talk through those
type of things.

Speaker 7 (03:23):
Anything else you're able to do in season when there's
I'm guessing f your live reps, right.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
Yeah, I mean you got to find your spaces for
after practice type of things. Obviously you want to be
conscious of guys in their body and obviously most important
thing is the game, but you try to get those
reps as much as possible because you might rep a
play one time, and you know, cliff my call in
a game on a critical situation, you gotta go out
there and execute it.

Speaker 4 (03:50):
How's more looked to you so far in terms of
when he's been out there and being able to get
some reps.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
I mean today was a job through ish, so haven't
really seen him too much, but he's looking good.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
I know he'll be out there.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
If he's out there, he'll feel confident enough to go
and I know he'll be excited to go out there,
and we're excited.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Obviously.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
You see a guy like that back in the huddle too,
both of them. I mean, anybody my bad. Yeah, Chris,
Chris was doing this thing. Obviously, he made a huge
cast on Monday, and uh, he's a veteran guy, so
I'm super excited.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
You know, he does his thing, He makes.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
The routine plays the winners needed, and I can know
I could go out there and trust him make.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
A play.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
With Terry out.

Speaker 6 (04:38):
Have you seen any difference in the way the defenses
are playing you guys.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
I mean some teams, even with Terry in there, they
might play us man. Some other teams might play us on.
So I don't have a like definitive answer for that one.

Speaker 8 (04:58):
Hey, Jaye, coach always folks about players stepping up in
their second year. How do you see Luke really develop
in these first six games?

Speaker 3 (05:09):
Obviously from a specialty and standpoint, He's keep getting this
good field position, So I love that receiver wise, you know,
he's making the plays and uh, you know, he probably
has the two most wide open touchdowns I've ever seen,
So salute to Luke and I'm happy for him. But
you know, every time we need a big play to

(05:30):
be made, Luke and step of them making that play Hey.

Speaker 8 (05:33):
Jaden, I've asked a couple of the coaches about you know,
when coach Queen talks about September football, now is October football.
So from your perspective, based on their expectations and what
they've shared with you all on what they want to
see in October, where do you think you all are?

Speaker 1 (05:49):
We still got some way to go.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
We're not a finished product, but we know in this
league that you want to get hot at the right time,
so whatever that looks like. But you know, we just
got to keep stacking days and taking one day at
a time, in one game at.

Speaker 9 (06:03):
A time, Jayden, Despite a bunch of the injuries on offense,
yourself included, you guys are still seventh in scoring, second
and tied for second and rushing. What does that say
about the system? What Cliff has been able to do
that you guys have in place, just no matter who
kind of goes in.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
I mean, we got the chance to, you know, take
this into another level. Obviously the stats are the status,
but it just says just we could you know, we
could score with the best of them, and we could,
we could put up points, but we just got to
be better, uh, with the details and execution, so you know,
we don't have slow starts or anything like that. So

(06:41):
that's something that we're just honing in and focused on
on more.

Speaker 9 (06:44):
And you said before you took responsibility and mark your fault.
But that's what quarterbacks do. Could you explain that in
the commercial while you're throwing Tyler Beatish under the bus
to your mother with the pantry saying it's his fault.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
It wasn't really a part of who my character or anything,
but you know, I kind of just do you know
what people tell me?

Speaker 1 (07:05):
So that's that's what they wanted to portray.

Speaker 3 (07:07):
So you know, I had to go out there and
step aside from being a quarterback and you know, kind
of try to be an actor.

Speaker 10 (07:15):
Jayden, you're a young guy, but you're also a team leader.
When you see a rookie like Bill have some fumbles
over the last couple of games, do you try to
offer him some encouragement? How are those conversations?

Speaker 3 (07:25):
Yeah, I think you just keep breathing confidence and life
into them.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Obviously what is going on is six or six seventh game.

Speaker 3 (07:35):
But but yeah, I mean Bill is He's tremendous man,
so we know that he's not gonna let that define him,
and he's gonna go out there and really make plays
when we need to make plays.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
So it's kind of that next man, next play mentality
