Speaker 1 (00:06):
How different from well, here we go, okay, think back
to last year at this very moment. How different is
Jade and Daniels now and and how does that manifest itself?
What do you notice that's different about you going into
this season?

Speaker 2 (00:23):
I would probably just say another year in, a year
under my belt too, know what I'm getting myself into
with a week one last year, I didn't know what
I was getting myself into. No, first game, didn't know
what to expect. But now you go out there, you
have a routine, preparation and consistent so you know, it's
kind of what's different.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Having Terry and Noah working out with you?

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Guys? Now, I mean that offense.

Speaker 4 (00:48):
What do you It's an unfair question, but what are you?

Speaker 1 (00:51):
What are you capable of with this offense?

Speaker 2 (00:53):
I guess Who're gonna find out on Sunday. I don't
really have an answer. I just hope we will not hope,
but go out there and execute a high standard.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
That's the standard that we keep in.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
That standard we uphold each and every day, especially another
year in the system.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
We know it. We will allowed to go out there
and play fast and free.

Speaker 5 (01:12):
Jane, there's a lot more kind of external expectations on
this team this year.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
You knew what was coming. What's the uh, what's the
best piece.

Speaker 5 (01:21):
Of advice you've gotten from some of the veteran guys
on the team about kind of blocking that out or
managing that.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
To be fair or they don't really tell me that
because I don't pay attention to it anyway. So, uh,
they're not really worried about me coming in and talking
about what was said on ESPN.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
I don't really care.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
Shout out to ESPN, thank you. How where where do
you feel you are most different? Even you're going to
the year compared to the last year. We are things
that some things that maybe you're more prepared for because
you have that year.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
I think, just like I said, my routine, I know
what time to get there at the stadium, what to expect,
warming up with time, and you know, stay consistent with that.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
So I think that's far more of the most different.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
Look at the Giants. What do you see especially with
that defensive front, some few pass rushes, you know, what
do you look at when you what do you see
when you look at.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
The defense that flies around? In Week one, everybody's gonna
be juiced up. Everybody is healthy, so you know it's
gonna go out there, it's gonna be a battle.

Speaker 6 (02:29):
Going back to the external expectations. Does the does the
success of last year? Does it add more pressure to you?
I mean, I know you don't really feel pressure, but like.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
Nah me personally, no, not at all. You still gotta
go out there provation.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
Every year.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
People have expectations. They could say you could do this
or hope you fail and do that. I mean, it
really doesn't matter at the end of the day. Is
what the pressure you give is all yourself to go
out there and you prepare the right way.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
You know, you give yourself the best chance of success.

Speaker 6 (03:04):
John the locker room, unlike the things they did here,
what does that mean to you guys? As players?

Speaker 2 (03:12):
It shows they take care of the players, So that's
a big thing. They're willing to invest and make sure
that we're okay and we're right and we're happy.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
So that's the biggest thing.

Speaker 7 (03:23):
Jen, what does Kobe Bryant mean do you?

Speaker 2 (03:27):
That's the greatest my favorite player, but the greatest all
time in my opinion, my favorite athlete, I want to
say player, but just.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
His embodiment of the work.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
And you know, as I got older, the mentality and
you know, he was fearless, never flinched in those big moments.
So you see a time and time again you see
why he's so successful and while he won five championships.

Speaker 5 (03:51):
And how do you try to embody that now?

Speaker 2 (03:56):
I say, you just go out there and like I said, fearless,
you don't bling when times gets tough, you know, adversity.
I don't think I seen anybody you know, ruptured Achilles
and walk off the courtship two free throws. So it
just he was built different man. And obviously he meant
a lot in my household to me growing up as
a Laker fans of the California kid. So try to

(04:19):
pick up some things. But you know, in those moments,
he never flinched. You know, the moment was never too
big because he knew what he did at practice, He
knew how he prepared and he wasn't gonna mess with
anybody that didn't prepare work as hard as him.

Speaker 8 (04:31):
Hey, jaydon where have you seen the biggest growth in
this team as you start this regular season?

Speaker 3 (04:39):
What was that?

Speaker 8 (04:40):
Where have you seen the biggest Don't make me laugh,
Where have you seen the biggest growth in this team
as they start this season.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
Yeah, I think it just starts with the veteran leadership.
You know, we added more veteran experience and you know,
we got guys last year with d Q and we
kind of know the standard and how we want to play.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
And you could tell that people are bought in.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
Everybody showing up, working hard, and we all love one another,
one each other in the locker room. We take care
of one another on the practice field, but we know
at the end of day we've got to push each
other to get better.

Speaker 9 (05:16):
Hey, Jaden, so you know you were this team's first
round pick last year. This year, Josh, maybe people didn't
know that, but Josh Connelly Jr. This year's first rounder.
What have you seen in Josh Connelly Jr. And have
you just had kind of that first rounder to first
round of conversation And I know he's getting his start
this weekend.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
Yeah, I mean, people going to see what he's made of.
And obviously he's different. I was playing quarterback. They're trying
to sack me. You know, people are going to try
to go after him and see what he's made of.
So right, so, because you know you got a more
experienced guy, will layer me on the other side, so
everybody won't to see what the rookie's about. So kind
of just you know, telling him that he already knows.
But the kid is very competitive, were quiet, doesn't really

(06:01):
talk a lot, always got like a mean mugg me
mug to his hisself. So I try to give him
a smile a little bit more have fun, which I
know he is. But that's kind of just why I
told you, no, go out there half free, be free,
have fun. But just know at the end of the day,
people are going to try to come after you, you know,
try to expose you because they know it's your first
your first one, and they might not think you ready,

(06:23):
but I know he is.

Speaker 7 (06:26):
You've had about a week now with practice with Terry
back out there.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
What kind of impact do you see kind of on
the practice field and on the offense having him around
and for.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
You having a guy who have familiarity with back out there,
the same impact we had last season.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
I mean, you can't really replace what the guy brings,
but obviously, you know, you go out there, it's good
to have him back.

Speaker 7 (06:47):
And I know you say you don't look at the
news and media and all that stuff, but there's a
narrative out there as far as the sophomore slump, But
Patrick Mahons and Lamar Jackson won MVPs in their second season,
So would you like to let everyone know that's the
narrative you're looking at.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
I'm going out there trying to be the best version
of myself. I don't really look at individual accolades. You know,
if we're winning football games, those come hopefully, So I'm
trying to do whatever it takes to win.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
What's up, Jadon?

Speaker 10 (07:22):
What do you think about your running back room? Obviously
a lot of versatility, different type of backs. How do
they kind of take the pressure off of you?

Speaker 2 (07:30):
Like you said, a lot of versatility. Those guys run hard,
their willingness and eagerness to learn, especially the younger guys,
So I'm excited. I mean they go out there, they
work hard, get an extra walkthrough reps and stuff like that,
so they're prepared and to just go out there and
you know, use their God give abilities.

Speaker 10 (07:49):
You know, any level of football. Pop Warner High school college.
What's so special about the first game that's season opener?
What is that like as a football player, Jayden?

Speaker 2 (07:59):
I mean, it's something that you dreamt of. I think
every level is different as you progressively climbed throughout your journey,
and now that you're able to play in the league
and you know your first one is you know, second
to none. You try to remember how you're gonna remember
that forever, Like my first game, even though we lost

(08:19):
my first game, you know, you still remember just those
little moments of conversation that you probably have with your
parents while you're young, and you know, just a kid
having a dream and now it came true.

Speaker 11 (08:31):
Hey, Jaden. Earlier, coach Quinn said that, you know, last year,
you guys had the success. You want to build on it,
and that an identity is not formed in one year,
it's formed over time like that. So you know, as
the you know, leader of this team, starting quarterback, what
do you think the identity should be that you guys
are striving to build here this season?

Speaker 3 (08:53):
What did Q say? Whatever he said is the identity?

Speaker 6 (08:58):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (08:59):
And we just so whatever he said is the identity?

Speaker 5 (09:04):
Jaya, and you kind of mentioned having Terry back. Already
having Terry back along with the receiving corps and having
some of the you know, offensive linemen back in this
coming into Week one, does this team kind of feel complete, healthy,
where you guys want to be going into this first week.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
Yeah, I mean, I'll say so, we got the guys back,
We've got the pieces that we need back, and we
go out there and see what we could do on Sunday.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
Appreciate y'all. Yeah,
