Monica Yatooma stops by to discuss growing up in West Bloomfield, MI, values she learned from her parents, finishing undergrad in 3 years, and meeting her husband shortly after obtaining her degree. She worked as a Medical Device Rep for years before starting her own business, Metro Detroit Medical Waste. She served as a sponsor for the Chaldean American Association of Healthcare Professional. She took it upon herself to become the change she wanted to see by running for Oakland County Commissioner in August of 2022. Monica managed to win 40% of the vote despite it being her first time running for anything and despite her opposing candidate having 20 years of experience as commissioner. She's an advocate for truth, transparency, and accountability in government and public education, and the courage she exemplifies when using her much needed voice to protect parental rights is truly inspiring.
