Today we're praying through thefifth childhood story the
finding of Jesus in the temple.
Let's begin In the name of theFather, the Son and the Holy

Spirit Amen.
O God, come to my aid.
O Lord, hurry to help me.
Mother Mary, please come, bewith us now and help us grow in
faith, hope and charity.
Together we pray the Hail Mary.

Hail Mary, full of grace.
The Lord is with you.
Blessed are you among women andblessed is the fruit of your
womb, jesus.
Blessed is the fruit of yourwomb, jesus.

The Fifth Childhood Story theFinding of Jesus in the Temple.
Mary and Joseph lost Jesus afterthe Passover festival and found
him sitting in the temple.
We spend a minute to focus onthe story to be prayed and open
our hearts to God.

Together we pray the Our Father, our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be your name, yourkingdom come.
Your will be done on earth asit is in heaven.

Give us this day our dailybread and forgive us our
trespasses, as we forgive thosewho trespass against us.
When the presentation finishedin the temple, mary and Joseph

returned home to Nazareth, withJesus as he grew and became
strong.
Nazareth with Jesus as he grewand became strong.
Jesus was full of wisdom andGod's blessings were upon him.

The parents of Jesus made thejourney to Jerusalem for the
Passover festival when Jesus was12 years old.

They went to the festivaltogether as usual.

When the festival was over,they started back home, but the
boy Jesus stayed in Jerusalem.
His parents did not know this.
They thought he was with theirgroup of family and friends.

Mary and Joseph had travelled awhole day when they started
looking for him among theirrelatives and friends.
When they did not find Jesus,they returned to Jerusalem to
search for him.

They found Jesus in the temple,sitting with the Jewish
teachers, listening to them andasking questions.

All who heard him were amazedat his understanding and answers

When his parents saw Jesus, theywere astonished and his mother

said to him Child, why have youdone this to us?
Your father and I have beensearching for you in great
anxiety.

And blessed is the fruit ofyour womb Jesus.

He answered them.
Why were you searching for me?
Didn't you know that I must bein my father's house?
But they did not understand hisanswer.

So Jesus went back with them toNazareth and he was obedient to
them.

His mother treasured all thesethings in her heart.

Jesus grew both in wisdom andin years, gaining favour with
God and people.

Glory be to the Father and tothe Son and to the Holy Spirit.

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell
, lead all souls to heaven,especially those in most need of
your mercy, and we pray for thePope's intentions for the whole
Church.
Our Father, who art in heaven,hallowed be your name.

Your kingdom come.
Your will be done on earth asit is in heaven.
Give us this day our dailybread, and forgive us our
trespasses, as we forgive thosewho trespass against us, and
lead us not into temptation butdeliver us from evil.
Amen.
