This week I spoke with Alexandra Johnston, aka: @alexinwonderlust (follow her on Instagram).
In addition to being an Instagram influencer, Alex is a producer for the current documentary film project, "Searching For Chinook". This week we talked about her passion for filmmaking and ocean conservation, as well as the impact that the loss of K21 Cappuccino has had on her as well as the southern resident orca community as a whole.
This episode, I decided to go off script. We lost another one of the southern resident killer whales - Cappuccino, as he's known.
This episode is a little bit of why we even care about the southern resident orcas here at BlackFin Coffee. It's a call to action for all of us to step up together and make a change.
Please listen to the end. In honor of K21 - Rest In Peace Cappuccino.
In this episode, I spoke with Maria Nangle. As a creator of the documentary film, "Searching For Chinook", Maria has in many ways, 'been there' and 'done that'. What do I mean? Maybe it's her time at the Cove with a world renowned writer. Or, maybe it's her uncanny ability to just take the next step until it brings her to exactly where she wants to be. Have a listen, and decide for yourself!
