In this episode of Daily Devotionals for Nurses, Tola continues the journey through Judges 6 and reveals a powerful truth: sometimes, before God brings your breakthrough, He sends you a word.

After the children of Israel cried out to God in their oppression, the Lord sent them a prophet, not immediately to change their situation, but to remind them of His past faithfulness and deliverance. This “word before the breakthrough” was meant to stir their faith, renew their gratitude, and realign their hearts before the victory came.

Tola challenges listeners to keep a record of God’s faithfulness through journals, notes, or even voice recordings, because it is human nature to forget. Forgetfulness can lead to resentment, disobedience, and discouragement. But remembering God’s past goodness fuels gratitude, strengthens faith, and prepares us to receive what He has next.

In this episode, you’ll discover:

  • Why God sometimes sends a reminder before sending the breakthrough.

  • How gratitude protects you from resentment and spiritual forgetfulness.

  • The importance of keeping a record of God’s miracles, answers, and deliverance.

  • How remembering God’s past work builds faith for today’s challenges.

Key Scripture: Judges 6:8-9 – God sent a prophet to remind Israel of His deliverance from Egypt and all who oppressed them.

Reflection Questions:

  1. When was the last time you stopped to recall what God has already done for you?

  2. What could you put in place today to record His faithfulness and guard against forgetfulness?

  3. Is there a situation in your life right now where you need to remember His past victories before you see the breakthrough?

Key Reminder:
Your cry to God is a weapon—but so is your remembrance. Before the answer comes, God may give you a word to strengthen you for what’s ahead.

🎧 Listen to Episode 36 now to be reminded of God’s unchanging goodness and be encouraged to hold on until your breakthrough comes.
