anointed hour of Uh. I was gonna say prayer. I
put this anoyted hour of the Word of God. Hallelujah.

The Word is able to break and destroy yoakes by
us anointing. The Word is able to sever the four
skins of our hearts, the wickedness of our evil intents,
and just allow us to be able to discover those
things that we need God to get rid of for Usah,

We're gonna have a word of prayer and then we're
going to move on with the Word of God. For today,
this Mother's Day, I want to say thank God for
all mothers or today we are Happy Mother's Day to
each of you, those that have that are mother's truly mothers,
and those that take on the role as mothers in
our society. For today, Father, is in the name of

Jesus that we thank you and giving praise. We certainly
pray for the mothers that you've given to us, Lord,
to nurture the children, to nurture us and bring us up,
Lord in the way that we should go. We thank
your Lord for everyone that has taken on their responsibility
as mothers and done what your word told us to do.
Train up to young women in the way they should go, fathers,

to change up the young man. Lord, teaching us hollyw Loujah,
and training us in the ways of God. Now, now, Lord,
we ask Lord that you helped me on today to
lay aside the weights and the sin that do it
so easily beset me, and help me to decrease, that
you will increase, that the word of God will go
forth with no hindrance from me. We're buying the works

of the enemy who comes to still kill and destroy.
We curse his attempts to overthrow the word of God.

So we declare that no weapon that is formed against
the shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against us
in judgment we condemn it even right now, I want
to speak into their atmosphere. Hallelujah. Satan, the Lord rebuke you.
We command you to let go every hallelujah, every blessing
that you've held up in the spiritual realm. Hallelujah. Give

the lawyers and the judges the okay to release those
blessings to your people, for the wealth of the wicked
is laid up for the justice. In Jesus' name, we

hearts of all of you out there, that you receive

God for mothers. On today. I think about my own

dear mother hally lujah often, but I think of this
too as well, that the Lord gave me what to
do while she was alive. So I have no regrets
anything that I did, holly lujah, because God ordered my steps,
and when God gave me the chance to put things right,
I took that opportunity and I allowed the Holy Spirit

to guide me into the truth. Therefore, the enemy cannot
tack me with regrets hallelujah and make me sorrow to
sorry to the point that I missed out on doing
something that God gave me the opportunity to do. All right,

Where did we.

Where did we get the idea that we are supposed
to change one another?

Speaker 2 (03:59):
Where do we get the idea?

Speaker 1 (04:02):
Uh? The reason has come up because I've seen many
times that we in our haste and attempt that we
act like we're trying to change somebody. Uh Uh, We
forcefully sometimes speak into other people's lives and insist on
they do it a certain way and our way. And

uh not think about the fact that God is the
author and Jesus forgive me. Jesus is the author and
the finish of our faith. And where does it Where
does that idea come from? Where does that idea come from?

In us? Hallelujah?

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Is it God that calls isn't it God that calls us?

Hallelujah?

Isn't it God that calls us? In the beauty of holiness?
And it's the Holy Spirit that convicts us. God calls us,
and the Holy Spirit convicts us. God calls us we
are the sheep of His pastor. It's God that does
the work. Jesus said this in the Book of John,

He says, my father, that do with the works, not me.
Hallelujah for Lifthians two and twelve. Paul states that he said,
my beloved, I have whereas you have always obeyed in
my presence, he said, but now much more in my absence,

he said, work out your own salvation with feand Trimley.

He admonished them.

He he he encouraged them to work out the teachings
that he had given them. Work out your own. Don't
be so consumed about what another person is doing that

you're not watching your footsteps. At least you fall in
a trap. The best thing the Bible tells you can
do is when you see a brother overtaking and a fault,
restore such one in the spirit of meekness, considering yourself
and even that you're a leader of the Holy Spirit,
and how to do that. So, where do we get

this idea that we are supposed to change one another
over to God. Let's look in the Book of James.
Book of James. We're going to stay in that book.
Look in the Book of James. We're going to start

reading chapter one James, starting at verse one, James a
servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, a
servant of God. He's a servant of God. Hallelujah, and
of the Lord Jesus Christ. To the twelve tribes which

are scattered abroad, Greetings, my brother counted, all joy when
ye fall into divers temptations. Now temptations means here the
desire to do something, especially something that is wrong or otherwise. Temptation,

a desire to do something, especially something that is wrong
or otherwise. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Y'all forgive them right
here the barkain in the background. Hallelujah. Know this that
the trying of your faith worketh patience. Know this that
the trying of your faith worketh patience. Hallen, But let

patients have her perfect work, that you may be perfect
and entire wanting nothing.

It's through patience.

And Paul tells James tells them how you work out
your own salvation with venery is through patience and letting
patients have a perfect work. That you may be entire
lacking nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him
ask of God that giveth to all men liberally, and

upbraideth not, and it shall be given him, Oh God,
But let him.

Ask in faith not wavering, for he that wavereth.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
Is like a wave of the seed, driven with the
wind and tossed if let for let not that man
think that he shall receive anything of the Lord. A
double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

So Jame goes on to say that with drawing the
way by across of our own temptations, hallelujah. Things that
have the ability to take us into wrong thinking stink,
my dad, you say, think stinking thinking on the counter
to the will of God for our lives. And he

tells them now and working out your own salvation with
friends trembling, hallelujah. He didn't say not to pay attention
to love one another, but not to the point that
you don't pay attention to what you are doing. See,
because you're the biggest part of your testimony is the
life that you live. Matthew says. You know, first learn

how to pull the mote out of your eyes so
you can see clearly. Pull a speck out of someone
else's if you want to help somebody, first get yourself well.

Today I want to talk about and we're gonna continue
in James. I want to talk about are you listening?
Are you listening? Are you listening? God is always talking,
but are you listening? Are you listening? Hallelujah? How do

(10:30):
you deal with temptations? How do you deal with the
world's issues or the issues that come to you?

Speaker 2 (10:38):
Hallelujah.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
Drop down to verse thirteen. It says this, let no
man say when he is tempted. I am tempted of
God for God. For God cannot be tempted with evil.
Neither tempteth he any man. God cannot be tempted with evil,

(11:03):
and neither tempted he any man. Now we're tried. Why
because we have the Word of God in us, He
allows us to be tried.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
Hallelujah.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
He tells us it's in the furnace of affliction that
we're chosen. So what you read and what you study,
like Paul, like James was telling them those things that
you've Paul was telling Philippias, excuse me those things that
you heard from me.

Okay, do.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
Okay, and work out your own salvation. Now, Paul goes on,
James goes on. He says that, but every man is tempted.
But every man is tempted when he had drawn away
of his own luss and enticed. You have some desires

in you that will call you to come out of
your placing God, your new life, old compassions, whatever they
may be. It may be drugs, it may be lying,

(12:14):
it may be tail bearing, it may be gossiping, it
may be infidelity, it may be a multiple sort of things.
But it's up to you to make us that. With
the help of the Holy Ghost, hallelujah, he will bring
things your memberies. He will help you to see those
things that are conflicting to God. Hallelujah. Which is the

(12:39):
discern He helps you to desern the intents of your
heart through the word of God. See, God knows what
you intend to do, your motives for the things that
you want to do. Is it for you or to
bless the Kingdom of God or the people of God? Hallelujah.

(13:00):
Drop down to nineteen. We're gonna move on with this.
We're talking about listening. We're talking about listening to game.
Because Jesus is Lord hallelujah. He's been given the title
of Lord through God. That means master teacher. I told

(13:20):
my class this morning's Sunday school. Some of the things
that we get, we're already talking about the Lord having
us talking about this morning. We're in my sermon, not
knowing that they were gonna go this way. But Jesus
is our master teacher. It's the Father that does the works. Now,
listen to what we're saying here in verse nineteen, we're

(13:41):
gonna read on. Wherefore, my beloved brother, let every man
be swift to hear, so to speak, and slow to wrath.
The first thing he says is be swift to hear.
Can you imagine, if you would dare to think about it,

(14:02):
how many times we get in conflict with each other
or error in our lives because we don't listen. We
think we listen, We think we listen, but we hear
part of what is being said, but we fail, because
of distractions temptations to listen to what's truly being said.

(14:28):
We catch part of it and we run with that part,
not knowing the whole of the conversation. Now, any of us,
if any of us would be honest with ourselves. How
many times have you gotten found yourself in a heated
discussion or right and long discussion, and then at the

(14:52):
end of the thing, you found out own I didn't
hear that.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
Oh I misunderstood you.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Whether or not you're admitted it to the other party, it happened,
and you realize that you are in your shame. You
don't reveal it to the other party, that you don't
that you didn't listen. Hello, hello, somebody, and you're drawn
away from the discussion because of your own loss.

Speaker 1 (15:27):
My brother and I call each other periodically, okay, and
we this has come some years back, and when we
found ourselves being in competition or in uh it wasn't
an argument, but on different sides of the coin, in

(15:49):
explaining a thing, a matter come into an understanding. And
I asked the lord, I said, well, why we keep
doing this? Every time I get on the phone and
we get into our altercation about this or that or
the other, something simple. And he said, you don't listen.

(16:10):
I don't listen, said be swift to here, swift to here.
I said, okay. He said, you run to conclusions without
hearing the whole matter. I said, okay, Lord showed me
help me to keep my mouth shut while I listened
to him intentionally, Don't you know it's hard. We got

(16:32):
on the phone the next time and I was talking
to him and he said something, and I immediately had
something I wanted to say in contrast to what he said. Right,
But I didn't listen to the whole conversation, had not
listened to it yet.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
But I listened to a.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
Part of it not already formed me, and an opinion
about just the piece. And I, with patience, as James
has said, with patience, I rejected the temptation.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
I rejected the.

Speaker 1 (17:04):
Temptation to move forward without listening to the whole conversation.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
So I forced myself to listen. Didn't want to.

Speaker 1 (17:15):
I wanted to be about my business and formulating a
plan of controversy or different opinion.

Speaker 2 (17:25):
And we got to the end of the conversation.

Speaker 1 (17:28):
And I thought about it, and I said, wait a minute,
he's saying the same thing that I said, or I'm
thinking he's saying the same thing, but he said it
from a different perspective. He's using different words than I
would have used. And I said, Lord, what are you
showing me? He said, we are not all made the

(17:51):
same because we all grew up and all have different
teachers and different mindsets and different experiences in the world.
In this world, we have different ways of saying the
same thing. We have different ways of doing the same thing.
They lead us to the same results, but we got

(18:12):
different ways of doing it. So the conflict was not
with what was wrong or right, but it's in how
to go about doing it. And I didn't see that
until I was swift to listening to what he had
to say.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
So I immediately.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
Put wrong to right by saying, Okay, from now on
when I talk to him, I am going to listen
to him intentionally. I'm not gonna let my mouth open
up until I hear the whole conversation before I make
a decision on how to respond. See, because this would

(18:54):
put us in if I when we're in agreement, this
puts us with want accord, hell on somebody. If I
take the opportunity to listen to him or to her,
it will put us in one accord, having the same mind,
same spirit. But if I don't listen to him, it

(19:17):
puts us at on. And we sit up here talking
about the same thing, but we never know it, halleween,
are we listening to one another? Verse twelve twenty For
the wrath of man work is not the righteousness of God.
When you get angry with that person for not agreeing
with him, because you didn't listen, and you get angry,

(19:40):
it doesn't work.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
Any righteousness, does it? Not the right You want to be.

Speaker 1 (19:44):
Right and they want to be right, and so you
end up getting off the phone, or you end up
stop talking because they wouldn't listen to you and you
didn't listen to them, and it doesn't work the wrath
of God, excuse me, It doesn't do the work of God.
It doesn't bring forth righteousness, because look here, it is

(20:07):
righteousness that exalts a nation. And what we have just
did is allowed sin because of our own desires. Split
us apart. Well, we could have been won in mind
and spirit. Now we're split apart but thinking the same thing.
But we don't know that why because we didn't listen.

To one another. Go over to God.

Speaker 1 (20:31):
Twenty one, wherefore lay apart all filthiness, super filthy of
naughtiness and deceived, and received with meekness being grafted word
which is able to save what your souls hallelujah.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
There are some things that we need to lay aside.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
You know, our pride in our ego is so that
we don't want other people to be right over us.
Hello somebody, Yeah you got an ego, Yeah, you got
some pride in you. And he told us that pride

(21:14):
go before a destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
And if we deceive ourself in the thinking that we
are above all of that, we are sadly mistaken. Learn
to listen to somebody. Learn to listen before you speak.
Glory to God. Hallelujah. It's the ingrafted word, this word
that tells us hallelujah, hallelujah. Be patient, listen, be slow

(21:43):
to speak, hallelujah, be slow to wrath. What through listening
you can control, hallelujah, What you say and when to
say it. Some of the words that you want to
say you might not even need to say, because you
will find out you are in the same line of thinking.

(22:04):
You're with one accord, You're saying the same thing. And
guess what else you get to learn? You get to
learn something about the character of that person that you're
telling a discussion with. Hello, Hallelujah. Verse twenty two. But
be ye doers of the word, and not hears only.

(22:27):
Now it tells you be swift to here, But don't
just hear. Do what God tells you to do. Put
what you've heard from God into option. How are you
gonna do that, pastors, how you wanna do that? Receive
ye the Holy Ghost, the Bible says, and ye shall

(22:49):
receive power after that the Holy Ghost has come up
on you, and ye shall be my witnesses.

Speaker 2 (22:58):
Hallelujah. What is a witness?

Speaker 1 (23:01):
A witness is somebody that has identified and then that
can verify what is.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
Really going on. Hallelujah. When you see that, it works.

Speaker 1 (23:15):
When you see that taking the time to listen and
to do the word, you get the results of what
God promised you. Hello, I know what I'm talking about.
When you listen, take the time to listen, and you
do what God says, then you see the results of
what God says the promise is towards you. Hallelujah, hallelujah.

(23:40):
Therein is the righteousness of God performed. That's the righteousness
of God reveals. It's not God, that is not God's
will that any of us should perish. Remember, it says
that the Word that is able to save your soul.

Speaker 2 (23:59):
Hallelujah.

Speaker 1 (24:00):
When you rightly divide the word of truth. When you
are able through the spirit of God to deliberate or
talk with somebody, because you got to have love one
to the other. Follow peace with all man, holiness without
no man shall see the Lord. If you want to
see the Lord one day, you need to be at
peace with your brother, and the first place to be

(24:21):
at peace with God. So learn to listen, learn to
use your pay patience, that persions have a perfect work.
That you may be in time lacking nothing. It's so
many things that we miss because we read this chapter
James put out. But there's so much in it about
how to develop our character and be developed by the

(24:45):
spirit of God, that we miss it because we don't
reject or resist temptation. Temptation will draw you out of
the way of God and put you in a way
of self. And who wants you in the way of self?
The devil. And you think it's you controlling you, but

(25:06):
it's not. It's the devil. Hallelujah twenty three. For if
any be a hero of the word and not a doer,
he is like unto a man beholding his natural face
in a glass. You see yourself in a glass. I

(25:27):
see in the glass, and I see that I wear glasses. Okay,
listen what it says. And he beholdeth himself and goeth
away and straightway. Forget what manner of man he is.
If I was to go look at myself in the
mirror and see that I wear glasses and walk away
after I put my glasses down and forget that I

(25:47):
wear glasses, that would hinder me seeing where I got
to go right. That would hindle my vision right, so
I'd be half walking in dark. Things will be blurred.
How many of you have I know this or that
that wear glasses? Have been looking for your glass and

(26:08):
they be sitting.

Speaker 2 (26:09):
On top of your head.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
And the only reason that you know that you're missing
your glasses is because you can't see clearly.

Speaker 2 (26:17):
No more, Come on, somebody, because there are.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
Times when we have them up off that we can see, okay,
whether it depends on whether you're near sight or far sighted. Right,
But when the other, but when the other comes into play,
you say, wait a minute, where are my glasses? Same
is with the word when you look into the perfect law,
when you look into the word of God, and it

(26:42):
says that this is what you should be, and this
is what you should not be. This will work the
righteousness of God, and this will not. So I need
to listen. I need to learn how to listen so
I can find out where my appointment. I need to
listen so I can learn where my blessings are. I

(27:05):
need to listen so I can understand my spouse. I
need to listen so I can understand my boss what
it is he wants. I need to listen so I
can understand what the preacher is saying, so I can
understand what the Holy Gost is telling me to do.

(27:25):
So I cannot afford to lead from this mirror when
understanding what kind of man that I am. I'm subject
to forgetting what I look like. So I gotta be
cautious and do it and being a doer of the word.

(27:47):
I've got to listen. I got to be slow to
use the words that I come out of my mouth,
because my words are lost. A man is slurred by
the words that he speaks. What you say becomes law. Hallelujah,
be cameingful the words that you speak. Jesus even said,

(28:09):
I only speak those sayings. I only say those things
that my Father tell me. And the Holy Ghost is
charged by the word by Jesus to hallelujah, bring to
rememberance those things that he said. Look at God. He's
giving you a comforter to help you over to God.

(28:30):
Twenty four. For he beholdeth himself and goeth his way,
Now God's way. He beholdeth himself, and go his way
and straightway. Forget what matter of man he was, But
whosoever looketh into the perfect law of liberty and continueth therein,

(28:51):
he being not a forgetful hearer, not a forgetful here,
but a doer of the work. Wait a minute, let's
put that together. You hear, you slow to speak, and

(29:12):
you slow to anger. You hear you slow to speak
because what you say, what you say puts out seeds.

Speaker 1 (29:24):
Faith come by hearing, hearing by the word of God.
You say to yourself and agree with God. This is
what I must do. I must surrender myself unto God,
a workman that need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the
word of truth, being transformed by the renewing of my mind,
so I can prove what is that good and accept

(29:45):
what perfect will of God. Why because I have the
mind of Christ. Now I don't belong to myself anymore.
So I'm charged by sense my mind. I'm heid in Christ.
Because this is not me that's doing this anymore. It's Jesus,
my Lord, that is helping me to walk out this life,

(30:06):
live out this life the steps of a good man
of what ordered by the Lord. Hallelujah. The steps of
a good man are ordered by the Lord. I walk
not in my own understanding, but in the will of God. Hallelujah, hallelujah.
So he looking into the perfect law of liberty and
continues therein being a doer of the word hallelujah, being

(30:27):
not forgetful hero, but a doer of the work. For
what if Jesus too, intend to say, we are his
workmanship created in Christ. Jesus unto good work that God
has already or dain. I don't have to try to
figure it out. He's already worked it out. Hallelujah, good works.
This man shall be blessed in his deeds. Come on,

(30:52):
God is telling you through James that you will be blessed.
Why because your steps are ordered by the Lord. Listen, hallelujah. Listen,
Are you listening? Are you listening?

Glory to God?

Speaker 1 (31:10):
If any man among you seem to be religious, listen,
what hallelujah? If any man among you seem to be
religious and bribeless, not his tongue, but to see with
his own heart, this man's religion is in vain. See,
we have a tendency to let come out of our

(31:32):
mouth whatever we see or whatever we hear or think
we hear. You hear half of a conversation, and before
they can finish the conversation, I didn't say that.

Speaker 2 (31:45):
I didn't say that. Well, let him finish first.

Speaker 1 (31:50):
They might be coming back around to what you did say,
but they have their own way of explaining what's in
their mind. We need to learn to listen. Are you listening?
It would avoid a lot of conflicts. Are you listening
and on the earth with God? Are you listening to God?

(32:15):
Get this, If you study the word of God and
you listen to someone else, you can easily identify if
that person's spirit is in line with the will of God.
Why because you know what God says about the matter,

(32:36):
then you are able to If you have learned to
pull a mold out of your eye. You're able to
help them to pull a speck out of theirs, but
you can. They're not gonna let you touch that eye
if you're in controversy with them. So you you are,
you're knowwledged that are having a friend, you got an enemy?
Why because there's something underlying against you, against you too.

(32:58):
You will remember when you go forward, we didn't agree.

Speaker 2 (33:04):
We didn't agree.

Speaker 1 (33:06):
Now you may continue to talk, but that's still stuck
in your craw as they used to say, that's still
stuck in your spirit. That your enemies because you didn't
agree on a subject, and that makes it hard to
have love one to the other. What are we gonna listen?

(33:26):
Are we listening to one another? Then listen to this
verse twenty seven? Pure religion?

Speaker 2 (33:32):
Is this?

Speaker 1 (33:34):
It's undefiled before God and the Father and the Father?
Is this pure religion and undefiled before the Father and
the Father?

Speaker 2 (33:45):
Is this.

Speaker 1 (33:47):
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father? Is
this we're talking about before God? We're talking about being
before him when he sees us. What is he gonna
see to visit the fatherless, the widows in their affliction?

Speaker 2 (34:08):
That is when they you see them in.

Speaker 1 (34:10):
Their affliction, that's repeatedly dealing with the same matters over
and over and over, and you step in to be
a blessing to them, not being discouraged because God is
using you, but observing yourself in the mirror that if
it wasn't for the grace of God, there go I hallelujah,

(34:35):
and to keep himself unspotted from the world. How do
you do that by being the door of the word,
by being the door of the word.

How much of a part in our lives do listening.

Speaker 2 (34:55):
Take?

How much do we really think about what we listen to,
or do we even listen to one another?

Speaker 2 (35:06):
Sometimes we have a tendency.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
Because we know someone or think we know that we
don't have to, especially someone that's teaching. I already know
what they're gonna say. I don't need to listen. But
this word just got to say being a dog or
word is able to save their soul, and it's your

(35:32):
soul that's in jeopardy. M hm. So I would think
now I'm talking about me. Now, I'm thinking I need
as much of the Word in me as I can get.
I need as much of the Holy Spirit to guide
me into the truth as.

Speaker 2 (35:50):
I can get.

Speaker 1 (35:52):
Because James is saying down here that, Uh, if I
do don't listen, if I don't.

Speaker 2 (36:05):
Bridle my tongue, I'm liable to.

Speaker 1 (36:10):
I am vulnerable to being angry unto wrath, and my
wrath work as not the righteousness of God. So that
doesn't damage the other person. That damages my soul, that
