In this first episode of Death Comes for the Archbishop, we begin our story with the telling of how it came to be that the Church saw it fit to establish a diocese in New Mexico. Then we see Bishop Jean Marie LaTour on his journey through Mexico to meet the bishop of Durango after he was rejected by the priests already present in Santa Fe.
My guest on this program is Marcus Peter, ThD. He and I discuss the importance of reading literature and building a Catholic imagination. Marcus also shares some of his favorite pieces of literature and the effect they have had on him.
He is Director of Theology for Ave Maria Radio and the Kresta Institute, radio host of the daily EWTN drivetime program Ave Maria in the Afternoon, TV host of Unveiling the Covenants, a prolific author, biblical theologian, culture commentator, and international speaker.
