We love meeting the awesomefamilies who ride along with us.
So what crazy adventures aregoing to happen on today's ride?
(00:25):
There's only one way to findout.
Alright, let's hit the track.
Today's story is Bonnie's NightRide.
The moon hung high in the sky, casting a soft glow over the
thick forest below.
Most people were fast asleep intheir beds, but not Bonnie.
She was wide awake, looking outthe window of the cabin.
(00:47):
Her heart was racing withexcitement.
Tonight wasn't just any night,it was the night she and her
dad, Mitch, would go on a dirtbike ride through the dark
forest.
Bonnie had been asking Mitch fora night ride for weeks.
The mystery of riding throughthe trees at night with only
their headlights lighting theway made her feel so excited.
(01:08):
She couldn't wait to see theforest like she'd never seen it
before.
Ready to go, Bon?
Mitch asked as he stepped intoher room.
He was already dressed in hisriding gear, helmet tucked under
his arm.
More than ready! Bonnie replied, jumping out from the bed.
She grabbed her favourite pinkand black riding jersey,
matching pants and boots.
Her helmet with its pink andblack stripes was covered in
(01:30):
stickers of her favouritebrands.
Once she was all geared up, theyheaded out to the garage where
the bikes waited.
The night air was cool andBonnie could see her breath in
the glow of the moonlight.
Her bike, with its bright pinkand black stickers, looked ready
for anything.
Mitch walked over to Bonnie'sbike, checking the tyres and
adjusting her headlight.
Alright, we'll need to use ourlights and stay sharp.
(01:52):
There'll be roots, rocks andplenty of surprises that you
can't see in the dark.
Bonnie nodded, watching as Mitchshowed her how to adjust the
headlight to see the trailbetter.
All set, Mitch said.
Remember, keep a steady speed, watch the ground carefully, and
don't take any big risks.
Bonnie grinned.
I've got it, Dad! Let's do this! They pulled on their helmets and
(02:16):
started their bikes.
Vroom! The engines roared, shattering the quiet of the
night.
Rumble beneath her.
Vroom! Headlights casting abright beam on the path ahead.
Mitch led the way, his headlightlighting up the narrow dirt path
winding through the forest.
Bonnie followed close behind, her heart racing as they rode
(02:36):
deeper into the woods.
The tall trees surrounded them, their branches forming a dark
roof that blocked most of themoonlight.
It was so dark! This is amazing!Bonnie shouted over the roar of
their engines.
It's like a whole differentworld at night.
It sure is, Mitch called back.
Stay close and keep your eyespeeled.
(02:57):
The trail was narrow, full oftwists and turns and roots and
rocks sticking out everywhere.
Bonnie focused on keeping herbalance as her bike bounced over
the uneven ground.
The forest was alive withsounds, the rustling of leaves,
the hoot of an owl, the crunchof sticks under their tyres.
Boom! Thud! Crunch! Bonnie'sbike hit a big root, jolting her
(03:18):
slightly.
She gripped the handlebarstighter, smiling as she pushed
on, the headlight guiding herthrough the shadows.
They soon reached a narrowcreek, its dark water reflecting
their lights.
The rocks made crossing tricky, and Mitch stopped to go over the
plan.
Alright, Bonnie.
Mitch said, keep your eyespeeled and balance right.
(03:40):
Don't stop in the middle or youmight slip.
Mitch went first, his bikesplashing through the water as
he rode carefully over therocks.
Bonnie watched closely, thentook a deep breath.
Here I go, she called, revvingher engine and rolling into the
creek.
The water was cold and she felther bike slide on a rock, but
she kept her speed steady.
(04:00):
Her tires splashed through thewater as she made it to the
other side, her heart poundingwith excitement.
Great job, Bon, Mitch said, giving her the thumbs up, you
handled that like a pro.
Bonnie beamed, feeling proud, thanks Dad, that was awesome.
They rode further into theforest, the trail becoming more
challenging.
The path twisted and turned, leading them through the thick
(04:22):
bushes and over fallen logs.
The trees send a closing aroundthem, casting spooky shadows.
Watch out for animals, Mitchwarned.
There could be anything outhere.
Just then, a pair of glowingeyes appeared in the darkness.
Bonnie's heart skipped a beat, her headlight shining on a fox.
It stared at them for a secondbefore dashing into the bushes.
(04:44):
Did you see that?
Bonnie exclaimed.
It was a fox! I sure did, Mitchreplied.
The forest is full of life atnight.
The trail grew steeper androckier as they climbed.
Bonnie had to focus hard, standing on her foot pegs, using
her legs to steady herself asher bike bounced over the rocks.
The engine growled, working hardto carry her up the hill.
(05:05):
This is tough! Bonnie calledout, laughing as she climbed
over a boulder.
Just keep your legs loose andstay steady on the throttle,
Mitch said.
Use your body to balance on thebumps.
Bonnie took his advice, lettingher legs absorb the bumps, as
she tackled the rocks.
She loved every minute of it,the thrill of riding through the
forest in the dark keeping hergoing.
(05:26):
After what felt like ages ofriding through the dense forest,
they came into a clearing.
The trees opened up, revealing apatch of open ground bathed in
moonlight.
Bonnie pulled up beside Mitch, both of them taking a moment to
catch their breath.
This place is beautiful, bonniesaid, looking around at the soft
glow of the clearing.
The moonlight reflected off thedew covered grass, making it
(05:48):
look like a sea of diamonds.
It's one of my favourite spots,Mitch said, sitting down on a
fallen log.
It's peaceful out here, isn'tit?
Bonnie nodded, taking in thesilence.
She could hear the distant callof an owl, and the rustling of
the trees in the breeze.
They sat quietly for a while, just enjoying the peacefulness
of the night.
(06:09):
Then, after a break, Mitchsignalled it was time to head
back.
They got back on their bikes, the engines roaring to life in
the quiet of the clearing.
The ride back was just asthrilling.
Bonnie leaning into each turn, using her body to guide the bike
through the tight paths as shecould hardly see through the
dark with her headlight.
Watch out! There's a log upahead! Mitch called out.
(06:30):
Bonnie spotted the fallen treejust in time.
She stood up, gripping thehandlebars and giving her
throttle a twist as she liftedher front wheel over the log.
The bike soared over it, landingwith a thud on the other side.
Nice jump! Mitch cheered.
You're really getting the hangof this.
Thanks Dad! Bonnie said, herheart racing with excitement.
(06:51):
The trail wound up and downhills, over rocky sections and
through narrow paths lined withtrees.
Bonnie loved the feeling ofriding through the forest at
night.
The cool air brushing past herface, the hum of her engine
filling her ears.
The final stretch of their rideled them through a thick patch
of trees.
The path was barely visible, hidden beneath fallen leaves,
(07:12):
and the branches overheadblocked most of the moonlight.
This is the tricky part, Mitchsaid.
The trail is narrow and theleaves can be slippery.
Just keep it slow and steady.
Bonnie nodded, focusing hard asshe followed Mitch through the
tight trail.
The leaves crunched under hertires and she could feel the
bike slipping a little on thedamp ground.
Stay focused, she whispered toherself as she leaned into a
(07:35):
tight turn.
You've got this, she said toherself.
The trail twisted and turned, winding through the thick trees.
Bonnie kept her eyes on theground, carefully weaveling
through the narrow path, tryingnot to lose Dad in the darkness.
Finally, after what felt likeforever, they came out into
another clearing, the forestthinning as they neared their
(07:55):
cabin.
You did great, Bon, Mitch saidas they came to a stop.
That was a tough trail, but youhandled it like a champ.
Thanks, Dad, Bonnie replied,feeling proud.
That was the best ride ever! Asthey rode the final stretch back
to the cabin, the first hints ofdawn began to light up the sky.
The forest, which had seemed sodark and mysterious, now began
(08:17):
to brighten with the morninglight.
They had ridden all night! Whenthey reached the cabin, the sun
was just starting to rise.
Bonnie switched off her bike andpulled off her helmet, her
ponytail messy from the ride.
That was amazing! Bonnie said, sitting down on the porch steps.
I can't believe we did it!You're becoming an excellent
rider, Bonnie.
(08:37):
Mitch said, sitting beside her,I'm so proud of you.
They sat in silence for a while, watching the sun rise over the
forest.
The night was over, but thememories of their midnight
adventure would stay with Bonnieforever.
As they went inside to rest,Bonnie couldn't help but feel
excited for the next adventure.
Riding at night had beenamazing, and she knew there were
endless places to explore on herdirt bike.
(09:00):
She looked forward to their nextride, knowing that as always,
any day on a dirt bike is a goodday.
