Divine Fingerprints Podcast

Have you ever felt like God redirected your path? It seems to happen to all of us at some point or another. I call those redirections "divine fingerprints." They are just one way that God displays His love for us. Divine fingerprints point back to what He's said in His word, and they are most easily seen in the rearview mirror. In this podcast, we'll be sharing stories of divine fingerprints. We'll talk about the ways God interacts with us and redirects us. He is intentional about His plan. Come join me as I interview some wonderful guests!

The Divine Fingerprints podcast really is Bob Goff's idea, so it only seemed fitting to conclude Season 1 with our conversation from Instagram live, filmed a couple of weeks ago. The format of this episode will be very different -- mainly because Bob is the one asking me questions this time around! This is a more casual and wide-ranging conversation, but we do come back to my hope for this book and the podcast itself.

I have attended Calvary Church for most of the 18+ years I have spent in Albuquerque. In that time, I've learned a great deal about God and His character from the teaching of Pastor Skip Heitzig. In this episode, Skip shares about God makes Himself present to us and how our stories are meant to glorify Him. He also explains how we can test our purpose as a method to discern if we are following where God is leading. As always, S...

Brandon Janous and I cover a lot of ground in this episode, but what I most hope you, the listener, get from it, is a simple message: love the people you're with as completely as you can. Never assume you'll have more opportunities to show God's love to those around you. And don't worry about whether that love is always reciprocated perfectly. If you know Brandon's story, you know he's been through hard thin...

God uses divine fingerprints to show off aspects of His character, but it seems that most often this evidence shows His goodness. Kim Stuart spent much of her life thinking that she needed to earn God's favor, only to realize that His grace is unmerited favor. She didn't need to keep striving to earn something she had already been given. Through God's grace and the evidence of His presence in our lives, we see His goodn...

Perry Floyd originally planned to attend the US Air Force Academy, but God had other plans. He has been a pastor and a chaplain for a high school in Albuquerque now for many years, working with students and people of all ages.

In those years, Perry has become a mentor to hundreds, if not thousands, of students and attendees of his church. That includes me! His new book, Consider This, condenses a lifetime of Christian wisdom in...

We tend to turn to God when we run out of answers. As a Certified Educational Planner, our guest this week, Glenda Durano, has regularly encouraged prospective college students as they embark on the biggest decision of their lives to that point. Many pray for clarity.

Yet other times, we think we have the answer and pray to God that He might grant our answer efficiently. But we've also experiences those times when our prayers go se...

BONUS EPISODE!

I recently spoke with about 700 high school and middle school students at my school's weekly chapel services. I didn't intend to make this part of the podcast, but I have the recording and want to share!

This episode will give listeners a sneak peak into the heart of my upcoming book. In this clip, I tell a couple of my own stories of divine fingerprints, explain the defining characteristics of those fingerprints, an...

If you've watched the trailer episode, Amy Fankam is the friend I met in the college class I never should have taken. Still, that's a story for another day. In this episode, we talk about many other pivotal moments our journeys.

Amy ended up at Notre Dame in part because of a wall-sit competition. You read that right. She tore her ACL during her freshman year and still scored a goal in the College Cup (think Final Four) before gett...
