Speaker 1 (01:22):
I guess, you know, just buy them a bunch of stuff, right,
Just just get robbed. That's what parenthood's all about, is
getting robbed.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
That's what it's about.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
And you know at some point your kids are gonna
grow up and say, at some point it's gonna happen
no matter what, because we all probably did it. They're
gonna say I hate you at some point, right because
you give your life to these children. I mean you
do everything for them, You put your life on hold basically.
I mean Derek, of course is the former forty nine
er and Super Bowl champion professional athlete, but you have
(01:58):
to think about your kids first.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
Right, Oh, without a doubt. I mean they come first.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
So I just can't wait till they have their own
and then I can just like go in there and
be like, hey, look, he asked for this, you better
go get it.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
I don't care. Figure it out.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
Figured it out, well, Grandpa's gonna spoil him, is what's
gonna happen.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Figure it out.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
Otherwise I'm gonna take him to my house, give them
all the sugar I can, and then send them back on.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
I did that. If my nieces and nephews same thing,
same thank's the best thing. I do have an announcement
to make. Yeah, I have a girlfriend. What I have
a girlfriend? After important? After fourteen years?
Speaker 2 (02:35):
What's his name?
Speaker 1 (02:37):
Steve?
Speaker 2 (02:37):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (02:38):
Okay, Now this is something big for me. I actually
have somebody I care about that's in my life. And
she's a Brazilian fitness instructor.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
True story, So she doesn't so she doesn't understand what
you're saying.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
That's it. That's why it works. That's why it works. No,
she's been here, she's been here like ten years, and
she's just it's amazing. But sorry, ladies, I'm off the market,
you know what I'm saying, off the market, and this
five head of mine, this thing is off the market too.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
That's why you're not wearing that hat. Now, that's why
you're working out more. Yeah, that's why you're always in
the gym.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Now.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Oh, by the way, Derek, now listen this. I know
this is an audio podcast on iHeart and other platforms,
but Danny and Derek are wearing these killer and I've
got one too, Doghouse Sports hats and coming up here.
Let's let's open this up to the people so they
can order them. Is it going to be an easy process?
Is this something that's pretty easy just to get? They
are dope and it will be. Yeah, it'll be. They
(03:33):
are awesome. If you're a Doghouse fan and you remember
the Doghouse, we stay true with that. Look, it's got
the Doghouse audit. It says Doghouse Sports in black and yellow.
And Derek's guy did a great job. And I'll take
all the credit for it. No, they're really good. Here's
what I'll do is when we post this podcast, I'll
go ahead and do a video with the hats as well,
and we'll get some of these moving and shaking, because
(03:54):
if you're dog out. I don't know how many times
I get asked by people, hey, do you have any
Doghouse shirts? Shut the hell up. That was twenty five
years ago. Why would I hang on to an old
T shirt? I do have some, But why would I
hang on to old T shirts or have a stash
of T shirts from a radio show that hasn't been
around for twenty five years? Wow?
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Because it was your life, it.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Was Oh yeah, you have to live it when you
do it. You know you were a part of it.
You know what it was. You know. It was one
of the most intense, amazing experiences of my life, probably
the best experience. Me and JV started that in nineteen
ninety four in San Jose and grew it to San
Francisco for sixteen years, and we went to New York City.
But Doghouse hats will be available soon. I'll put the
(04:36):
link in the bio whenever we get that. So let's
go through the NFL last week games. Commanders beat the Eagles.
Did you watch that game?
Speaker 2 (04:47):
I did?
Speaker 1 (04:48):
Yeah, Well, of course, Jalen Hurts went out, he got
a concussion, Kenny Pickett came in. That was a great draft,
by the way, Pittsburgh and we've talked about Jaydon and
Daniels before. Wow, that kid is a star. Obviously the
offensive rookie of the year right.
Speaker 3 (05:04):
Oh, without a doubt. He's made his mark this season.
He's done everything he's supposed to do. He's the second guy,
I guess this or second he's on a second team
this year to do it, which is have five turnovers.
And he didn't have all five, by the way, but
he had five turnovers and still won.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
The Gamellons was the other one.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
Lions, And.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
He's taken a team that was pretty much terrible last
year and turned them all the way around. You know,
obviously with with the new head coach and new coaching
staff and all that stuff, you got to commend everybody.
Everybody's bought into what dan Quinn is saying and doing
up there. Those guys are on a roll and they're
actually catching fire at the right time.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
Right. And the thing about I think what really helps
him Jaydon Daniels is its offensive coordinators. Cliff Kingsbury, of course,
the Heisman maker and former Arizona head coach. And I
think you keep hearing all these different things about who's
gonna be a head coach. I think, uh Ben Johnson, Kingsbury,
those are big names because now teams are saying we
(06:05):
need an offensive guy and as a head coach.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
Right, they're talking about the guy from Detroit also and Johnson, yeah,
Ben Johnson Yeah.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
And so I mean actually they were talking about him
for Chicago, which is like, I don't know, anybody wants
that job right now?
Speaker 1 (06:19):
No, no, no, no, It's that's that they basically screwed
Caleb Williams. I mean, this kid has got all the
talent in the world, and then you bring him in
with that Matt eber Fluth. He's gotten fired. And now
it's like, I I I love me some Trojans usc
and I used Trojans as well. No I don't.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
I'm not gonna girl, I'm gonna do no.
Speaker 1 (06:41):
But it's like it's like, you know, it's any when
I were talking about this before we started the podcast.
You look at somebody like a Jordan Love or Sam
Darnold who's now in a great situation, or these quarterbacks
that are drafted high and then they flounder and they
don't anybody's goal. He's a bust. It's just really, doesn't it.
Derek Depen, So, what what situation you're going into and
(07:02):
who is calling the plays and who's who's developing the quarterback?
Speaker 3 (07:06):
Right Well, it's it's a few things. It's who's developing
the quarterback? Did he have enough time to develop? And
and there's guys that can come in and play right away.
You're seeing it, you know. I think the group that
came in this year was one of the highest rating
groups around for a long time. And and those guys
have come in and they've shown that they were ready
to play. Some guys aren't ready to play right away,
(07:26):
and you end up wrecking them right because they don't
have a line, or they don't have a receiver or
or or the coordinator. The coordinator is not playing to
their to their game right. So you're keeping a guy
like Phil's when he was playing in Chicago, you're keeping
him as a as a pocket quarterback, but he's not.
He has to get out of the pocket, he has
(07:47):
to roll out, he has to get out, has to run.
They weren't doing that. And when he did that, he
was good, but they kept him as a I call
it the standing Indian. You know, he's like standing there
on a statue. He's like total Is that a total pole?
He's like a total pole. You put them back there
and he's just gonna get knocked down, Like, come on, man, seriously,
it's not it's not really fair to him, and it
(08:08):
wasn't fair to the rest of the team because now
things can't happen and he can't see back.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
There like that.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
He has to be able to roll, and he was
his talents and his abilities and threaten you with the
run and then all of a sudden things open up
for him.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
Yeah, and you mentioned that Michael Pennix played actually replaced
Kirk Cousins. Of course, they played the Giants, but they
got to win, they got a w and I think
a little.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
Bit the Giants.
Speaker 1 (08:33):
Yeah, well totally. That's why I prefaces it by saying,
is the New York Giants just one of those awful
teams that's of course already out of the playoffs and
has actually got the number one pick in the draft
now now that the Raiders have gone down to number six.
But Michael Penich was one of those where you're like, wow,
this kid has got so much talent in college and
then Atlanta saw it. Unfortunately teams like the Raiders didn't
(08:54):
and didn't trade up to get him. But Michael Penick's
replacing Kirk Cousins. Now they are in first place in
the NFC South after losing like four or five games
with Kirk Cousins, who might have might have played his
last game as a starter in the league. I don't know.
Of course, it's a it's a quarterback league, and you're
gonna have some team who's gonna put a flyer on him.
I don't see Kirk Cousins, Yeah, right, one hundred percent.
(09:17):
I don't see a Kirk Cousins sitting around to be
a backup to Michael Pennix next year.
Speaker 3 (09:21):
To you, I think there's like, what was his contract,
one hundred and sixty one hundred and eighty something million, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
It was cute.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
And how much was guaranteed?
Speaker 1 (09:32):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
I don't know what is it all right now? One
hundred million guaranteed? Oh yea, he'll definitely be a backup.
Speaker 1 (09:40):
Yeah, but can't they save money by just cutting him
and not him to pay all that?
Speaker 3 (09:45):
No, No, it's guaranteed money, guaranteed, guaranteed, So you're gonna
eat it on the cap regardless of where he goes.
And if he leaves, if you cut him, you just
gave that money away to him for free, so you're
gonna eat it as it comes to the cap anyway,
unless he does greens to restructure it and get paid
in certain amount of years, right and certain dollar amounts.
Speaker 1 (10:06):
Stend it right?
Speaker 2 (10:07):
And and if you're gonna cut him, guess what, he's
not gonna do that for you.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
Hess has he already made.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
But he could care less about doing that for you.
Why would he help you?
Speaker 1 (10:16):
I agree? I agree?
Speaker 2 (10:16):
You know what I mean? Like, you're not.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
You didn't have to.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
He's mad. He's like, no, you play me or you.
Speaker 1 (10:21):
Pay me, right, it's right right? Another game last weekend,
Ravens Finally, Lamar has always had trouble with the Steelers.
Ravens beat the Steelers. I think the Ravens are in
a good ship, in good shape right now. But I
think the Bills Chiefs and then the Ravens are one
two three for me right now. But Kansas City had
(10:45):
a hell of a game. They put it all together
in the last game. If you saw that game that
they won. What's the deal with Patrick Mahomes having a
high ankle? Spray spray and then he's just it doesn't
even look like it when he's playing. You know, it's
like this always happens. The guys like indestructible.
Speaker 3 (11:02):
Well, it's not indestructible. He just knows he loves the
game of football. And there's a difference from liking it
and loving it. And and that's where you start finding
out who guys really are. You know, Guys that like
the game, they want to get paid in the game,
they won't. They won't play that hurt. They'll go out
and try, right, but then they'll say, like, a, it's
too much, I can't do it. Guys that love the game,
if they can walk, they're playing. Yeah, whether they they
(11:25):
don't care. I didn't say you had to run. I
said if they can walk, they're gonna play. They're gonna
figure this out and they're gonna take whatever shots they
have to take. They're gonna take whatever medication they need
to take to get on that field, and they're.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
Gonna be out there.
Speaker 3 (11:37):
They're gonna do all the treatment that they need to
do day in and day out. And you know, it's
just that's the way it is. You love the game
enough to where you're gonna play through it.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
Out of the playoffs. So far, this we kind of
update this every week in the NFC. Niners are out,
Cowboys are You didn't have to start there, By the way,
I did have to start. I put that First Nighters, Cowboys, Giants,
Carolina Bear, Saints in Arizona are all out. You know,
I still think to night ers next season, with the
(12:08):
group they've got, they're going to have to make some moves. Obviously,
maybe like a debo, gune or something else. I don't
know what else. They're going to do a debo, but
they're gonna have to sign party and he's gonna get
at least maybe fifty five million dollars per year because
he's the starting quarterback and that's what the market pays.
Right now, What do you think as far as teams
(12:29):
that are out? Now do they And you've probably been
a part of this. You run successful teams, of course,
but when you're out of the playoffs, what does that
do to a locker room? Derek? Is it kind of like, well,
we're just going to coast here where we got so
much pride. I love these guys so much, let's go
win this game.
Speaker 3 (12:46):
Well, if you find out who you got in your
locker rooms, what you find out, because now you're going
to find out if guys are gonna you know, suck
it up and finish the season, or if they're gonna,
you know, put their head between their legs and just
say forget it.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
I'm done.
Speaker 3 (12:58):
I don't want to get hurt. I might be my
contracts up. So why take a chance on this team
when it's over? I think, I think overall, though, you
have to look at what's left to play, Like what
teams do you have left to play?
Speaker 1 (13:12):
All?
Speaker 2 (13:12):
Right?
Speaker 3 (13:12):
Can you be a spoiler for a team? Can you
knock a team off of something? For the Niners, it's
difficult because their last game is against the Cardinals, and
the Cardinals are out the game before that though, coming
up this week the Lions, right, so they could really
mess the Lions over because the Lions are keeping pace
or the Vikings are keeping pace with.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
The Lions, So that game is going to be insane.
Week eight team, so.
Speaker 3 (13:34):
Week eighteen they're playing each other. So now if one loses,
the other one has to win, right, So if the
Lions lose to the Niners, that a eighteen. When you
think they were gonna sit some guys or whatever, they
can't and they can't do it. So they're hoping, like
they're hoping Minnesota would lose, and they didn't lose. They
ended up winning and now all of a sudden, now
(13:56):
it's a tie game. So now they got to play
their guys all the way through. And if you look
at Detroit's roster lately starting to get.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
Banged up, it's decimating. So I mean especially the defensive side.
I mean first they last Adon Hutchinson, they were like
five starters on the defense alone.
Speaker 2 (14:11):
But yeah, for no.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
Reason, that's a great That's what you talked about. You
said a team, and you see what people are made
of that. That's a real team right there, that Dan
Campbell's coaching, because people just want to play for that guy,
right and the next guy out.
Speaker 2 (14:24):
These guys have eighteen guys on ir right now.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
WHOA, that's huge. Wow, that's crazy.
Speaker 3 (14:31):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (14:31):
In the AFC teams that are out of the playoffs,
of course, the Jets, Browns, Jags, Titans, Raiders, Patriots and
soon to be Bengals, I'm just kidding, Danny. I don't
see any of those teams being good in the next
two three years. Maybe they can turn around quick, but
what what what do you do when you're you know,
you're like, oh my god, we suck, and you know,
there's no we don't have a quarterback like the Raiders.
(14:54):
How do you go into that following season going let's
go guys, or you're just thinking I'm just doing here
for a freaking paycheck.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
Well, no, you have to you have to be if
you're like the Raiders. I don't think the Raiders are
out of it. I think the Raiders are a team
that can turn it around fast. I think they didn't
have they didn't have they didn't have a quarterback. That's
the that's their biggest problem because if they had a quarterback,
they don't lose their receiver right right, they don't these
Davante and and that's a big difference for them. That's
a big powerhouse for them. Their defense, I think is
(15:23):
playing okay, right. I think Wis and Crosby Crosby. Crosby
got hurt, right, so he had surgery, so he's done.
But but he's done because there's nothing left to play for.
You might as well get healthy faster. That's a whole
different situation than just not playing when you're healthy and
the team is need you. My thing is is that
(15:43):
when you're like the Raiders, are you like winning these games?
I know what I know you want to win and
as a player, we always want to win, but also
as a as a coach and as as an organization,
you have to look like what's best for us right
now where we sit now. If they went out and
they and they and they take themselves out of top ten,
oh my gosh, I know you destroyed yourself, right and the.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
GM Telesco does not trade up. Believe me, I know
he was. He was a Chargers GM for like ten years.
Speaker 2 (16:12):
Well, and that's and that was a problem that they had.
Speaker 3 (16:15):
That was a problem they had this year because they
wanted They definitely wanted you know, Pierrice definitely wanted wanted
Jayde Daniels or bow or bow Nicks. He wanted either one,
and he wanted Jayden first and he wouldn't trade everything
to get him, and that that caused a big argument there, right, And.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
I mean without having him, they.
Speaker 1 (16:38):
Could have gone up to I think Pennix went at
number eight to Atlanta and they were at ten. You
could have popped up a couple of spots into Michael.
Speaker 3 (16:44):
Pet But I think I think if you're looking for
a quarterback, you gotta get what you want, right. I
don't think you settle just for any quarterback if you
only got your eyes set on two that you feel
fit your scheme. Once again, don't take the guy that
you don't think it's your scheme because it's not gonna
work for you, right because he may he may end
up surprising you a little bit, but he's not what
(17:05):
you really want. And so you got to take who
you want. So they have to go find who they want.
Speaker 1 (17:10):
And here's the thing about them, what is their scheme.
They fired their OC in the middle of the season,
who was terribleied.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
But but and here's the thing on that you fired him.
Speaker 3 (17:19):
You got to replace him really quickly and with the
guy that you're going to have as a permanent not
an interim. Who's going to be your permanent guy. If
that's your permanent guy, then let's go with him. And
that's that's what's gonna it's gonna be. So they have
some things to do right away when the season's over,
and they got to do it quick because now they
got to start saying, okay, let's get ready for what
we need to get and and you bring the guy
(17:40):
in for your offense because their offense needs to be
revamped a little bit. So you got to bring in
the guy for your offense or coordinator. What offense do
you run? And then let's start picking guys that fit
that offense.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
Yeah, look at brock Bauer. Is that that kid is amazing.
He's it. Got one hundred catches. Is a rookie tight
end without a quarterback with what is it? What? They
played four quarterbacks so far this season, from Gardner Binshew
to Aid and O'Connell to a Desmond Ritter and they
got a fourth guy I think somewhere and to show
that kind of talent that was the best player available
obviously at number ten. He's gonna be good. He's gonna
(18:14):
be good. Imagine him with like a a Jaydon Daniels
as his quarterback there. I just I don't think AP's
gonna hang around either. I think he's gone after the season.
I really don't know. Well, then they're gonna have to
bring in some dynamic offensive coordinator like it.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
Yeah they have to.
Speaker 1 (18:29):
Yeah, they have to. They got to do it quickly.
I mean, no, it has.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
To be fast. But I don't think he's gone. The
reason he's not gone is because they put him up
for failure. They didn't they didn't get what he needed
and once he didn't get what he needed, everything fell apart.
Speaker 2 (18:43):
He can't you can't get blood bled from a turn up.
Speaker 3 (18:47):
They tried to do something that wasn't gonna work, and
that's this is where you have a problem when you
have the GM and the head.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
Coach not working together.
Speaker 1 (18:54):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (18:55):
And from my opinion from being a player, I'm gonna
go with the head coach in this one was right
and and the GM was wrong. And if if, if
you're going to get rid of one of those two,
you get rid of the GM.
Speaker 1 (19:06):
One hundred percent agree with you. And I think the AP,
if he does stay around, he just needs to get
that GM. That's where Tom Brady, I think, comes into
this whole equation, to the point where it's like Brady's
gonna kind of take over or at least be very
instrumental in all the decision making that goes on with
the Raiders moving forward. Is five ten percent owner whatever.
The guy's a freaking winner and he knows and he
(19:29):
knows winners, and he's worked with winners and bring that
kind of person in. I just I just see him
also potentially bringing in a Bill O'Brien or a Mike
Rabel as head coach. That's just my opinion. You know that,
that's what That's what I could see happening.
Speaker 3 (19:42):
Here, because like I said, I don't think the head
coach is the problem here. I think the head coach
is fine.
Speaker 2 (19:47):
I think that has been terrible.
Speaker 1 (19:49):
His time management has been awful. I mean, he I know,
he's a first time head coach. He's a first time coach.
Actually he was just a position coach at some point.
He was never even a coordinator in the league. Correct,
and it was and I get it. He's a great
player coach and he's a former badass player and the
players love him. But that rarely works when you let
the you know, the players pick the coach and say, yeah,
(20:11):
we're not we're not We're not gonna play hard for
anybody else, And obviously hasn't worked. But listen, I want
to Growing up a Charger fan, I've always hated the Raiders,
but the NFL is better when the Raiders are good
and the Cowboys are good. And there's been garbage for decades. No,
you have a you got a motive for not liking
the Cowboys, that's for sure.
Speaker 2 (20:31):
I'm not gonna agree with that. That was terrible. No,
it's a terrible.
Speaker 1 (20:36):
It's a great take. Think about it, whatever, because when
those teams are good.
Speaker 3 (20:41):
Girlfriend, she doesn't know football, she'll listen to that.
Speaker 2 (20:47):
Terrible.
Speaker 1 (20:48):
It's great. What are you talking about. I mean, the
NFL is better when they're those kind of teams that
everybody hates and they're on top and there's trauma and
all of this stuff. Not when you got crappy teams
like the Bungles that are well, we we'll google super Bowl.
We're like, oh, no, you're not going anywhere, you idiots
are You're not.
Speaker 2 (21:05):
They're not gonna go anywhere. They're not going to the playoffs.
That's a waste of time.
Speaker 1 (21:09):
We'll see, we'll see. All right, let's let's uh, before
we get out of here, let's touch on the college
football playoffs. Uh. First games were just all kind of blowouts,
weren't they. I mean Texas, Yeah, Uh, Texas kind of
just blew out Clemson, oas, Ohio State blew out Tennessee
and Notre Dame. They looked really good again, I mean,
(21:30):
even though it was SMU and all the Alabama fans
are crazy. What was your takeaway from the first week
of the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (21:36):
Derek, uh that once again, no matter how many teams
you put in, you're still gonna have disparity. You're gonna
have a bigger problem. You know, they're gonna play it out.
It's perfect. I still don't think. I still think all
the teams that got in are the teams that probably
should have gotten in. But it's just some teams aren't
gonna be able to compete against some of these powerhouses.
Speaker 2 (21:55):
It's just not gonna happen. Now you have if.
Speaker 3 (21:57):
You have a chance at some point like they have
the the Golden the Golden Team, you know that it
just no matter what happens, they're gonna win. They figure
out a way to win. The first few games, not
big deal, I don't I don't think the second second
round of games are going to be that that big either.
I think they're going to be kind of blowout to myself.
Speaker 1 (22:17):
Penn State and Boise State. I think Penn State is
going to roll over Boisese date with that big ten
running of those.
Speaker 3 (22:25):
I'm a pack guy, and I am they're not in
the pack anymore. But Arizona State against Texas, come on,
manh Yeah, it's a different it's different types of football,
and they haven't been and they haven't been in their
conference long enough to develop that mentality that they need
to play the football they need to play against those guys.
Speaker 1 (22:44):
However, I mean Oregon State, Oregon is playing uh Ohio State.
Oregon has been.
Speaker 3 (22:50):
But once there's an exception, there's an exception, Like s
C was at some point was beating SEC teams that
were ranked number one beginning in the here r Burn
and playing BAMLA and all those and they and then
they wouldn't play a sea anymore because once again an
exception to the rule. Right, Oregon is that exception now
because Oregon's recruiting mainly out of l A.
Speaker 2 (23:13):
Right, So right, they're getting the talent.
Speaker 1 (23:16):
And they're getting them out of Texas and Florida, and
they're getting them from all over the country.
Speaker 2 (23:19):
They're taking them from everywhere.
Speaker 3 (23:20):
But they're getting a lot of kids out of LA
which which is what's hurting SC because he's not getting
that number anymore.
Speaker 1 (23:26):
Yeah, and the transfer portal is full of s C
players too.
Speaker 2 (23:29):
What hell they had like twenty twenty eight kids Bill already.
Speaker 1 (23:33):
Yikes, So you're taking Texas over as u Ohio State Oregon.
Speaker 2 (23:37):
Who you got, I'm gonna go to Oregon.
Speaker 1 (23:41):
I have too taking the Ducks, even though they played
a close game and they had.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
I just don't like Ohio State, so.
Speaker 1 (23:47):
I hate them too. I grew up an SC fan.
I hate them, Notre Dame.
Speaker 2 (23:51):
Georgia in Georgia. Really, I'm kind of I don't I
don't like Notre Dame.
Speaker 1 (23:58):
Well, of course you don't, because you're a US trojan.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
So I'm not gonna take them.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
I think this is going to be kind of a
closer game that people think. I think that.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
Shut up. I'm just saying there's gonna run all over them.
Speaker 1 (24:08):
And and Penn State over Boise State, I think is
a is a no brainer there I'm going.
Speaker 3 (24:13):
I'm going, I'm going Boise State. I don't do drugs,
stop that.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
Uh yeah, no, I'm with you.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
I think at least say I'm drunk, don't say I'm high.
Speaker 1 (24:25):
All right, whatever, you know what I'm talking about. Penn State.
I think Penn State is just too big on the offense.
Speaker 3 (24:31):
And my buddy, my buddy's son plays for Boise State.
I like their running game. Well, yeah, seat is crazy
is crazy good.
Speaker 2 (24:39):
I think that I think I think the game will
be in Penn State.
Speaker 3 (24:42):
I think is gonna is going to come in overlooking
him because it is Boise State, right, And and when
I was talking about the team that has like you
can you have teams that have like that golden spoon
that's given to him and they have a chance to.
Speaker 2 (24:56):
Run it out.
Speaker 3 (24:57):
If you don't remember years ago Boise had that opportunity,
they didn't let it.
Speaker 2 (25:01):
They didn't let him in.
Speaker 3 (25:02):
Remember, and then that they had to go play like
Oklahoma or play Nebraska or something.
Speaker 2 (25:07):
And they blew them out and they blew the Bois
State blew him.
Speaker 3 (25:10):
And I was like, that's exactly why they should have
had their opportunity to play that year.
Speaker 1 (25:14):
Yeah, yeah, we'll see that. That should be a good
game though. I think that Penn State has struggled against
good teams, so we'll see. I mean, they didn't struggle
against SMU obviously, but look.
Speaker 2 (25:24):
At it won't shock me put it like that.
Speaker 1 (25:25):
Yeah, I got you all right, guys, Thanks guys. I
appreciate you both. Danny, good luck on your what eleventh
child now something like that? Okay, oh yeah, I know
he's believe me. I can't believe that things worked twice.
Speaker 2 (25:38):
You should probably been on more podcasts.
Speaker 1 (25:40):
