Good, how are you?
Speaker 2 (00:21):
I'm doing well,
thanks.
Speaker 1 (00:22):
Good good.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
What's that?
Speaker 1 (00:24):
intro.
No, just it was, I don't know, trying to be fun, I guess yeah,
there you go, it's always funbut it's, it's.
It's usually me that's thepotty mouth, though I feel like
you haven't really cursed awhole lot on this episode no or
had any adult things to talkabout, or foul language or
anything.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
Yeah, I mean I do
drop the F-bomb sometimes you
have, you have, actually, youhave.
But I don't really.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
But I'm the one
that's talking shit all the time
.
Speaker 2 (00:51):
Yeah, it's okay,
though it's okay.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
We need an applause
already.
Oh yeah, For sure.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
Somebody needs to
talk shit.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
And that's totally me
.
That's definitely what I'll do,yeah so how was your week?
Speaker 1 (01:07):
Good, how was yours?
Speaker 2 (01:08):
It was busy.
I had a lot going on, so yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
Yeah, anything you
want to talk about, anything you
want to discuss, anything juicy.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
Yeah, so I did want
to mention I did go watch
Thunderbolts.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Oh, did you.
Yeah?
When, with who?
Speaker 2 (01:24):
A while back, on
Mother's Day, we went With who?
So that was like a couple weeksago, with the kids, with my
family.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
Oh, my goodness.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
So yeah, so the boys,
we went to go watch it and it
was really good.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
Did you stay for the
end scene?
Speaker 2 (01:39):
Yes, both of them,
both of them, both of them.
Yeah, have you seen theFantastic Four trailer yet?
Speaker 1 (01:48):
I don't think so.
We're going to watch it today, when we're done here.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
Okay, sounds good you
can watch it.
But yeah, so now, because Ithink I mentioned before, my
boys are very big Marvel fansand so we were totally excited
to go watch it.
I really liked Yelena, hercharacterena her character.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
Oh yeah, she's a fan
favorite.
Yeah, she really is.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
I loved her
personality.
I feel like I could relate withher in certain ways.
You know I'm dealing withanxiety or whatever.
You know.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
And and bob or bobby
bob, yeah, yeah and yeah Bob.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
Yeah, and that whole
scene too, because my mind goes
so deep sometimes.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
So, and I can like
relate with certain things like
how he you know, you go in thesedark places and it's hard to
come out, yeah, and you startbeing crazy, mm-hmm, and it's
like that one person can comeand come for you, which is Elena
.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
Right.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
I don't know if I'm
saying her name, right Um, and
she kind of like talked to himlike we're here, we got you you
know and just having thatsupport, I was like damn that's,
I need that yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
That movie has like
two like meanings.
You know, like Bob is goingthrough an actual like void,
void like an actual dark being, whatever, and then elena's going
through an actual emotionalvoid right and it's, the movie
is kind of just showing you both, both ends, you know, like both
both aspects, yeah, bothaspects.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
It's perfect.
Yeah, yeah, and because of that, like I felt like um just with
my emotions and and whatnot thatI experienced.
I'm like dang, I could relateand I just it hit.
You know that that those partshit, so it was, it was really
cool and I was like wow, it'spretty good.
I didn't think you would yeahawesome, I'm glad but now I want
(03:37):
to go on this binge where Iwant to watch the avengers and
then I want to kind of watch thestoryline.
I just don't know where to startyeah is the thing, because I've
watched him in the past.
My, my favorite is DoctorStrange.
Um, because I'm more of it, um,I liked spiritual like type
things, and so I, just, like Isaid, I really enjoyed those
(03:58):
movies.
So, um, I need to figure outhow to start watching them and,
like I don't know if it has tobe like an order or yeah, yeah,
yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
Well, that's what.
That's what I'm here for One ofthese days.
I'm planning to break it down, okay, but I'm just trying to
figure out, like the rightoutline, you know, but it's
coming, it's coming, but I'mglad um other than elena and
that, what did you else what?
What else did you like about it?
Speaker 2 (04:25):
um.
The dad is hilarious.
I liked how he's just like oh,david harbour's character.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
Yeah, the russian
yeah the um, the, what is it?
The red guardian?
Speaker 2 (04:36):
yes, he is so funny.
Yeah, um, yeah, he's good andyeah david harbour.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
he has a really
strong american accent too.
He's good at his Russian accentVery good.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
Yeah, very good.
Oh, so he's not Russian, no,he's American.
Oh wow, he's really good at it,he's good yeah, Yelena and Red
Guardian.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
They're from the
Black Widow movie.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Right, because that's
the dad and sister, right, yeah
, right, because that's the dadand sister, right, yeah, yeah,
yeah Of Black Widow, right?
Okay?
Speaker 1 (05:04):
I'm not sure if he's
the dad I don't remember.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
I think so.
I only seen it once.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
Oh, okay, yeah but I
think so, something like that.
Yeah, because she's like thatfigure.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
Yeah, because she
mentioned in the movie like you
left me Like it's been a year, sister, that you know.
So I'm assuming that was.
But but yeah, other than that,um, yeah, I, I think those two
parts that I mentioned as theywere going through those um
challenges, uh, that stuck outthe most to me.
(05:37):
And then the dad, of course, hewas so funny just trying to
build this team, right and then,so they get what he got what
they wanted is.
Did I say that right?
Yeah, um, but it was funnybecause it's like the avengers
and bob oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, bob is yeah century.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
It was a good movie.
I liked it a lot.
I'm glad you saw it.
You saw it.
I really liked um julia louisedreyfus.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
Or whatever her name
is, and I'm horrible with names,
so you're going to have to.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
She's the one that
played with the shriek in her
hair.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
Valentina.
Valentina Allegra DeFontaine.
Yes, Okay, yeah, she's reallygood too.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
Valentina Allegra
DeFontaine.
She made several cameos alreadyin the MCU.
She made a cameo in BlackPanther 2, Wakanda Forever.
Have you seen this second one?
Speaker 2 (06:27):
Yeah, because those
are some really good ones.
It's been a couple yearsbecause I watched them when they
came out on theater.
Yeah, I know Michonne played inBlack Panther, michonne from
the Walking Dead.
I don't know her real name, sothat's her character.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
I love Black Panther
dude.
Yes, me too.
I don't know her real name, sothat's her character.
I love Black Panther dude.
Yes, me too.
I don't know who you're talkingabout.
I don't know her name, but Iknow her character.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
She's such a badass.
I love her in the.
Walking Dead and in that movieit was awesome.
She's awesome.
I love her character.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
I love Black Panther,
so fucking much yeah, what else
?
Speaker 2 (06:58):
I got back into the
gym oh yeah so I've been going,
yeah, with my, my colleague.
So they do like a healthchallenge every time around,
every year around this time Iwork at work.
Yeah, we did not join justbecause I'm don't want to make
friends.
I have one and that's goodenough yeah um.
So she was like, hey, you know,I want to start this health
(07:20):
journey.
And I was like, hey, I've beenwanting to go back to the gym,
so perfect timing.
So I've been trying to.
I've been training her.
Um, she's never worked out, she's never been on a meal plan,
nothing like that.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
So, she, she's doing
pretty well oh cool, so you've
met her at the gym um no, I workwith her oh, you work with her
um, but she was talking aboutshe wanted to start her health
journey.
Oh.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
And so I told her you
know, I used to do this
previously, so she trusted me tobe her wellness coach.
So that's kind of what we'redoing, right now.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
Okay, so it's like
remote, like you're not going to
meet her.
Yeah, we do.
We go to the gym.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
Like we've been going
every day.
Oh, okay, sorry, I lost you.
No, okay, okay, okay, okay,cool.
So you met her at the gymalready.
Yeah, so we work together andthen we get off and then you go
change your workout together.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
Okay cool, okay cool.
That's what I meant like youmet her like you met her at the
gym, and you guys worked outokay anyway yeah, no, I thought
you meant like I met her at thegym and then yeah no, I'm, yeah,
I met her at work, I guess.
Okay, and then yeah, that'sfine, okay, cool, that's all,
that's cool.
So how's that going so far?
Speaker 2 (08:25):
It's going pretty
good.
Um, yeah, so, being that I usedto work out and really, you
know, kind of like a gym rat, Iguess, um, it's been a while.
It's been actually four yearssince I've been consistent, ever
since I moved to Arizona.
Um, and I think we've mentionedthat before, yeah, it's, it's
been consistent for now.
(08:46):
I think the first two weeks islike very hard to get through,
but we're we're pushing through.
She hasn't given up.
I had a lot of events takeplace last week.
You know, my boys, teenage boysoh my gosh, the friend got in a
in an accident on the bike umpretty much broke his collarbone
(09:09):
.
And then my youngest wrecked hisbike has a bunch of road rash
freaking broke his thumb.
And then my other boy he wasdriving to go get um a
mouthpiece.
And it's hot it's alreadygetting hot here oh yeah um, so
his experimental car, because hehas a couple cars, but his uh
(09:32):
cruiser car, whatever you wantto call it, um overheated and
started smoking on the freeway.
Thank, god he was able to pulloff on the side.
He called me, somebody stoppedto help him, so that was really
nice of them, and so thathappened.
I'm trying to work, I'm tryingto go to the gym.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
Trying to do all that
.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
Yeah, trying to do
all that, and then we still have
our podcast.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
Podcast to do.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
Yeah, it's been crazy
.
So last night was actuallyreally nice because, um, I
didn't have much going on,nobody was home so I just like
took a shower and I just relaxed.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
I was like I'm not
gonna do anything.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
I'm not gonna use no
brain cells, I'm just gonna sit
here and be mindless.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
Yeah, you gotta take
time to just like.
Let erica just recover.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:25):
Recover and just yeah
, you can't be stretched too
thin.
Yeah, you know, becauseeventually you know it's
exhausting.
It's exhausting, yeah, it'sexhausting.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
So, but I'm feeling
good and refreshed today so
we're good Anything happen withyou?
Speaker 1 (10:42):
I mean no, when I'm
driving.
I have the habit of puttingthings when I'm using it, like
my vape, like right here, likein my crotch in my crotch, or
like my phone, like I'll be onmy phone and I'll just like put
it down and then just drive, orlike my coke or my drink or
whatever you know.
But my airpods I put them inand then I put the case down, I
(11:06):
dropped it down on my lap andthen I got out of the.
I got to the house, but out ofthe car and I this is how I lost
my first pair I um got out andthey fell out of the car and I
fell into a drain oh yeah, itwas so bad.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
I was so.
I would have been so sad.
Speaker 1 (11:25):
I was sad for a bit
yeah my mind was like gone
through like five scenarios realquick, like Like what am I
going to do?
Speaker 2 (11:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (11:33):
But I was delivering
food, so I and the drain is
right in front of the house so Iknow they saw me.
Speaker 2 (11:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (11:41):
I delivered their
food and I parked there.
I was staying there looking.
I could see it in the drain.
It's about like five feet down,so I tried to fish it out with
a stick.
I couldn't do it, it wasimpossible, dang it.
I was in my tropos so Icouldn't climb in there.
Yeah, but I eventually had to.
I pulled it out and that thingwas heavy.
Speaker 2 (12:02):
That grill thing.
Yeah, oh yeah, that was heavy, heavy.
Speaker 1 (12:07):
I twisted my finger
trying to get that thing out.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
Yeah, it was stupid
but anyway, I climbed in.
I don't know it's stupid.
Oh, so you did get it, yeah, yeah I climbed in and I fished
it out okay it was a little bit.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
It was a little bit,
but uh, it took me about a good
seven minutes and then climbedback out again it took me about
a good seven minutes were theywatching you the whole time?
They were because they didn'tget their food.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
Wow yeah.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
And I hit the
doorbell and of course they got
the notification that their foodis there.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (12:39):
And they didn't get
their food until.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
I left.
Yeah, they're probably likewhat the hell is this guy doing?
Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
That's what I thought
too.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
Like what you okay,
you know that's what sucks.
People suck these days.
I feel like Right.
Because it's like they couldhave gave you something.
Speaker 1 (12:59):
some tongs it looked
like there was a stick in there
that I was using, Like it wasalready in there, Like somebody
had already dropped something inthere and tried to fish it out,
I see.
So there was like some toolsthere already a long stick and a
long pole.
Oh wow.
So I tried, but you know, thecase is so rounded and small
like it's impossible to justfish it out you know?
(13:21):
Yeah, oh my God.
So climbing in there was justthe inevitable thing.
I didn't want to do thatbecause I had no shoes on and it
was a small little area andstill, even even when I was in
there, it was so small to whereI had to like bend my knee, like
I couldn't just bend down.
Yeah, because you're tall, I hadto get in there and squat down
oh my god and I was thinkinglike if I squat down too much,
(13:42):
my legs gonna get stuck oh mygod, and I'd be like stuck down
there oh my god that would be,even that would be my life.
That would be.
That was probably in the plan.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:55):
That was probably on
the agenda.
Speaker 2 (13:57):
Yeah Well, good thing
it didn't happen.
Speaker 1 (13:59):
Good thing it didn't
happen I stopped it because that
was what was going to happen.
Speaker 2 (14:02):
Yeah, well, that's
good.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
But I think that's
the only thing that's happened
to me really.
Oh, okay, Just a busy week.
Speaker 2 (14:08):
Yeah, just a busy
week yeah.
Busy week.
It's like never ending.
I feel like Never a dull momentin my life for sure let's go
back.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
I want to circle back
to your son's car overheating,
uh-huh why.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
Do you know why it
did that?
Or well, um, what I'm thinkinghappened is earlier in the day
he went to go wash it, and soit's a, it's an older car, um,
so he went to go wash it and Ithink that, you know, with the
pressure of the wash, I think itjust like undid like a hose
underneath or something, and sowhen he was driving all the
(15:06):
antifreeze, like I think thathose just got loose and it was
like leaking.
So when he went to go get offthe off-ramp, it just like
started pouring out.
Oh no, so then that's whatcaused it to overheat so the
coolant leaked out from thebottom yeah so I'm assuming what
happened was when he washed hiscar, the hose got loose and so
he was driving around and then,um, I don't know if it was
(15:30):
leaking like since then or what, but thank goodness he was able
to get off the highway.
On the on-ramp he was blockingtraffic because it was hard for
me to get to him, but by thetime I got to him all the
antifreeze was out and hethought that it was the motor,
because he was like the car, just like.
(15:50):
I don't know what he said, itdid, it did something.
It just started smoking.
So he opened the hood and hewas like dang it, like he
thought it was the oil leakingbecause it was just like poured,
like gushed out, like the wholeroad was wet with the
antifreeze, whatever oh no um,so thank goodness it wasn't oil.
And then it smelled like gas andI was like well, is there like
(16:10):
a gas leak?
I'm like freaking out becauseI'm like, get away from the car,
we're gonna blow up, you knowlike all these, oh my gosh, all
these bad yeah, exactly, andhe's like mom, calm down.
You know, like, no, like, um, Idon't think it's a gas, I think
it's oil.
I might have blew the engineand then, um, when we got there,
it was just the antifreeze.
(16:31):
What?
is what we were told.
So I was like, thank god, youknow what.
We were in the middle ofwatching the game and so, um,
and then I was like why do youhave to be so far away?
Like well, he was like 15minutes away.
I'm freaking out because he'slike I'm blocking traffic,
people are honking at me and I'mlike freaking douchebags, like
(16:51):
nobody can get out and help, like you're a kid, you know and
I don't know.
People just suck.
But other than that.
So we got there um, there wasthis guy there with him.
Thank goodness, one person atleast helped.
Um, they pushed the car to theside and then we just had it
towed back home.
And it was so funny because thetow truck driver was like man,
(17:12):
I haven't seen one of these cars.
This is such a cool car andyou're so lucky.
Speaker 1 (17:17):
And I was like, oh my
gosh, oh my god, just get it
home.
Yeah, I was like just get ithome, yeah oh yeah, that's I
wouldn't.
I would be like just get ithome, I don't care, just get it
home yeah, he was all pumped sobut um yeah, so we it home.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
Now it's just a
matter of getting that hose
fixed and putting someantifreeze back in it.
Speaker 1 (17:36):
Oh man and just go
from there.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
But yeah, like I said
, it's never a dull moment with
these kids.
I'm just thankful that you knowit's their bikes and their toys
and their car.
Thank God they didn't get in nocrazy major accidents, but
they're just teenage boys beingboys.
They're not out trying to partyand do this and that and
(17:58):
sneaking out, they're justliving their best life which is
what I'm grateful for.
But it's so like it gives meanxiety because I'm like when my
phone rings.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
Yeah, like I said,
this generation is something
else.
They have all that plus all thesocial media that's like in
their program, in their brain,or the internet stuff.
It's just like no, these littleangels aren't exactly little
angels.
Speaker 2 (18:23):
Yeah, it's a lot.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
I used to my previous
car, my other Kia.
There was something wrong withthe um, what is it?
The radiator that keeps it cool?
Uh-huh, like for years andyears, I would, just I was so
lazy to not get it fixed, Iwould just drive it like that.
So I'd always have to like, even doing door dash and living
here in phoenix, um, I would, mycar's radiator would just it
(18:48):
would leak the coolant and Ijust I forgot why.
There was a reason why I justcouldn't get it fixed, but I
think it was just money, but Iwould have to rely on always
coasting to keep the car cool.
If I was at a stoplight or at atrain, I would have to turn my
car off so it wouldn't overheat.
Wow, because if I sit there ata stoplight for more than like
(19:09):
three minutes, it'll startgetting hot on on the dashboard
like that little thermometerthing and there are some close
calls where I'm sitting there atlike a, at a stoplight or
something, and the car is likeoverheating and like nobody's
moving and like what the fuck?
this car's gonna start smokingin like two seconds yeah there
was a time when you know, likedriving from new mexico to here
(19:32):
was very swift because I wasjust you know, you're just
coasting all the way, so my carwould stay cool all the way,
right, um, but then when I wouldcome to like a, like a halt,
like an accident, and the wholefreeways backed up, oh man, and
it's like 120 outside.
I'm like I was like my heart waslike panicking, like my car's
gonna overheat in like twominutes if I don't, like I've
(19:55):
had it on the on the aches forlike so long like, like, minutes
, minutes like, like.
Oh my god oh, that's scary, scared, you know, like oh never
did, though it never overheatedit never and it still runs
perfectly fine oh good.
I got it fixed eventually, butthere was a time with at least
one or two years.
I would like that was my lifeyeah I've wherever I had to go I
had to make sure I had to makesure I was coasting.
(20:16):
I can't hit traffic, I can't beat a stoplight, I can't stop
anywhere I didn't give, I meandid that trigger.
It was stressed all kind oh mygosh, all kinds, all kinds.
Speaker 2 (20:28):
I could have been, oh
hell no, I would have just
stayed home, I wouldn't havedone nothing, because I would
have been just overstimulated.
I couldn't.
I know because you have to work.
Speaker 1 (20:37):
That was not an
option.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (20:40):
Not an option Well
that's good.
So I finally paid up.
I actually didn't pay, Iactually took it in and got the
whole radiator replaced.
It cost at least I.
It was a good.
It was a good amount.
It was a.
It was a couple thousand acouple thousand.
Speaker 2 (21:02):
Oh man.
Speaker 1 (21:02):
I didn't have it in
my account.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (21:05):
I didn't have.
I didn't have at least half ofit.
Speaker 2 (21:07):
Oh, my goodness.
Speaker 1 (21:08):
And um, it was a big
amount.
Speaker 2 (21:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
And the guy wanted me
to go for it and I was using a
rental to work.
So I was like, okay, cool, I'llhave that full amount in a
couple days, just give me sometime to dash.
And he's like, no, it needs tobe off my lot now Today.
Today I said I didn't say this, but the guy had a big old
fucking parking lot, big old lot, and my car is this tiny.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
Right.
