You’re listening to Fictionally Unhinged — where every opinion is unfiltered, every spiral is dramatic, and every TBR is dangerously out of control. Consider this your official warning label: spoilers and unhinged chaos ahead.

In this episode, we’re diving headfirst into the female main characters who run our fantasy worlds — from the Chaos Queens like Tori Vega, Bryce Quinlan, and Violet Sorrengail, to the Strategists and Quiet Blades like Darcy Vega, Feyre, and Nesta. We talk archetypes, villains we love to hate (looking at you, Lionel), the pain of character deaths that broke us, and the friendships, rage, and redemption arcs that made us scream, cry, and highlight entire chapters in glitter pen.

Expect chaotic tangents (yes, including buttery bagels and dragons that act like dogs), plenty of book boyfriend sidebars, and lots of unhinged opinions about why some FMCs deserve their own spinoffs.

Spoilers inside for: Zodiac Academy, Ruthless Boys, Crescent City, ACOTAR, Throne of Glass, and Fourth Wing.

Kristina (00:22):
Hello.
Hello.
Happy

Marita (00:24):
Friday.

Kristina (00:27):
Fictionally Unhinged.
Friday episode three.
I'm super

Marita (00:33):
excited for today.
I don't know why.
Maybe just'cause I like love.
I love the the Women of Fantasyit's

Kristina (00:39):
wrong, female character.
So today we're diving intofemale main characters, which I
low key Wish we would'veincluded Elise a little bit
since we're both reading theRuthless, um, ruthless Boys
series before we get started.
So I guess who came back intothe series and like, it's making

(01:04):
my heart cringe.

Marita (01:06):
I just finished the first book but Who Lionel is.
Lionel, yeah.
I was like, wait a sec, is itLionel?
I figured he was gonna pop up'cause like.

Kristina (01:17):
Because in Zodiac Academy, when he would use the
Dante's Lightning on Tori, I'mlike, something, and now
everything is starting to tie inand I'm like, like I hate him.
I know we have to have like avillain, but he wholeheartedly
like, I didn't hate Voldemortthis much.

Marita (01:43):
No, I don't.
I didn't, but I just likeassumed he was gonna go.
And that was the thing withZodiac Academy.
You're like, when is this mangonna die?
Like when the last chapter ofthe last book, I'm listening to
it again on graphic audio and itis so good.
It, except the only thing is themain character.

(02:04):
Um, I don't know her name, theactress.
She does Violet Soren Gae.
And then she also does.
To Tori.
She's doing Tori's voice.
There's a different actress forTori and for Darcy, but it's
like weird'cause I hear Violet.

Kristina (02:19):
Mm, I can see that.

Marita (02:21):
And I'm like, wait a sec,

Kristina (02:23):
hold on it up.
Terry.

Marita (02:25):
And the voice they have for Orion's not what I would've
thought, but, oh.
But I actually, they're all notWhat it, it it's good though.
I really like it.
It.
It's almost not, I wanna say itmakes the writing better.
It really does.
Because you can like, feel thecharacters.
Yeah.
Because like, I'm not an18-year-old girl, so it's, that
was like hard for my mind toread like that and be like, I'm

(02:48):
18.
But like, hearing it, I, it,it's, I'm more into the story
and it's a hell, a lot moredescriptive than I remember.
Like, there's a lot moredescription in the book about
the world.
I was like, I don't remember anyof that.
I think

Kristina (02:59):
we, we zoned some of that out at times

Marita (03:03):
when you're told you had like nine or 10 books.
I'm like, we gotta get throughthis.
All right.
Pick out the important flatpoints.
It'll come out on graphic audioand I'll get, get to it again.
All right.
So, but they're on here, theVega twins, so

Kristina (03:20):
I love the Vega twins.
I also love Bryce.
Who is your top one?
One,

Marita (03:28):
Alan.

Kristina (03:29):
Oh, duh.
I should flat out, I know thatthat's just,

Marita (03:33):
she's the girl's girl.
Of all the girls.
She really is.

Kristina (03:36):
Yeah, she is.
Um, dang.
But now that I'm, I'm trying tothink of that.
I don't know.
There's things about Pharaohthat just like pissed me off.

Marita (03:46):
There was, I

Kristina (03:47):
feel like it would probably be Bryce.
I love me Bryce.
I love Crescent City.
That whole party.
She's a bitch,

Marita (03:55):
but I do like her.
Yeah.
But I like that.
She's such a good, I like thatyou can just be, yeah.
Like you can just, that's whoshe is.
Yeah.
She was a good friend.
I really think her friends kindof sucked, like.
Juniper and what, uh, fury.
I was like, you guys are likereally kind of the shitty
friends here.
Like, I don't know.
She really went through throughit and you were like, it's too

(04:17):
much for us.
That was the bad.
I forgot.
Maybe that's,

Kristina (04:20):
maybe that's why I decided to randomly go red be a
red.
Oh yeah.

Marita (04:24):
I figured that's exactly what happened.
You loved that I was.
I get that.
I was like, can I find a way toget a 12 point stag to live in
my backyard?
Like I get it.
I have a green couch now.
Like my house is like greenbecause of throwing a glass.
I'm like, it's the best colorever.
Everything's green,

Kristina (04:44):
terrace and green.

Marita (04:47):
Um, imagine if they all crossed worlds Oh SJ

Kristina (04:53):
Mass, please do that.
Like.
That would be so great.

Marita (04:59):
That would be a really good one.
Um, all right.
All right, let's dive in.

Kristina (05:10):
So, chaos Queens.

Marita (05:16):
All right.
So we wanted to like break themdown into almost like their
archetypes and we picked.
The best books that like, notthe best, but like the most
popular ones out there.
Yeah.
We've got our Zodiac Academy.
We did Fourth Wing in ThatWorld.
The Imperian series, is thatwhat it's Um, yeah.
I can never pronounce it.
The Ser J.
Mass World and Worlds.

(05:40):
I think that was all of them.
Yeah.
Right.
That's what we did.
Okay.
Just making sure.
Someone texted me today, theywere like, I'm reading Fourth
Wing and I thought of you.
I was like, that's the bestthing ever.
Like that

Kristina (05:50):
is the best thing ever.

Marita (05:51):
She's like, I pretend that my dog's a dragon.
I was like, I do too.
Like don't, like, don't get mewrong.
I pretend they're dragons allthe time.

Kristina (06:02):
I pretended Lucy was a dragon'cause she reminded me of
Toothless.

Marita (06:06):
Aw,

Kristina (06:07):
I know.

Marita (06:09):
He is just, he is

Kristina (06:10):
just

Marita (06:10):
a sweet Taryn.

Kristina (06:12):
He is.
All right, so the first likearchetype we have our Chaos
Queens.
Chaos Queens.
Tori Vega.
She's such a badass.
I love her.
Bryce, to go through all theywent through.

Marita (06:29):
Oh yes, we have Bryce and then Violet Violet's always
star shit.
She.
But she, I love it.
Yeah, because like you, theyalways talked about, like she
was just, Rebecca talked abouthow fragile she was and how
breakable she was.
I know.
And I was like, she's stillkicking everybody's ass, so

(06:51):
doesn't seem to be a problem.
How fragile is she really justkind of goes to show like brain
over bronze.

Kristina (06:57):
Mm, yes.
Like mind over matter, overeverything.
Bryce will absolutely tear down.
Everything in her path, especially for like trying to
figure out what was happeningand really like avenging Danica,

Marita (07:20):
ugh.
She'll set the world on fire forthe people she loves, for sure.
Yeah, I love that so much.
And then same with Tori.
She's like.
I'm gonna burn it down and thenask questions later and we'll
just see what happens.
I wish I could sometimes be likean act now, think later person,
but I have to like calculateeverything, think everything

(07:41):
through.

Kristina (07:42):
I spent a lot of years on therapy, not responding to
situations anymore, or notreacting to situations, so that
was me

Marita (07:51):
quieting the inner Tory.
Yeah,

Kristina (07:55):
maybe that's why I love Bryce so much.
I was her in my past life.
Party Girl.
Hot mess.
Express.

Marita (08:03):
I get that.
I was too, I related to that.

Kristina (08:05):
Yeah.
A heck of

Marita (08:07):
a lot.

Kristina (08:08):
Now we're just.
Moms that sit home and read andgo to the gym.

Marita (08:13):
I love though, in the book how she was like, everyone
says like, party girl.
Like it's a bad thing.
And realistically, like ifyou're in your early twenties
and you're just having a goodtime to a certain point, like I
guess it's really not like, andit's always looked at as such a
negative thing.
And I love that she just ownedthe owned who she was.

Kristina (08:27):
Yeah.
She's like, that's what youthink about me.
Like, all right.

Marita (08:34):
Then you underestimate 'em and that's the best thing.
You're like, if that's whatpeople wanna see, let them see
that and then they don't see allthe other stuff going on in the
background.
Then it leads to a Yeah, badassstory.

Kristina (08:46):
Oh, I love her.

Marita (08:48):
Alright.
And we have our strategist andquiet blades, like those
background bad asses.

Kristina (08:54):
Well.
I wouldn't say like background, like Darcy was definitely not a
background,

Marita (09:00):
not like background character, but like, but like
the badass, like it's not whatyou see first.
Yeah.
They're like fragile, like abomb, not like a flower kind of
thing.

Kristina (09:13):
Like a grenade come in, like a knife in the dark.

Marita (09:19):
And that would be Darcy Tori's sister.
And it's like they're the yingand yang.
Yeah.
And she was like the bluesister.
Tori was the red sister, andthey, they made that work, that
dynamic work really well.

Kristina (09:30):
It was the perfect dynamic.
Realistically,

Marita (09:33):
I keep looking for that in ruthless Boys.
I'm like, where's the secondgirl?
And I was like, oh, nope.
It's just her and all these men.

Kristina (09:40):
I love it.
That's why we should haveincluded her.

Marita (09:44):
I had her and then I was like, I wasn't, since I, we
haven't finished the series.
I didn't, but she's, yeah.
Yeah.
She like, she's probably themost badass managing all those
men.
Not even in like the sexual lifetypes, but like they're the most
dangerous men in, so at thatpoint you're like just playing
with them.

Kristina (10:01):
Oh, okay.
I'm just playing with them.
The storm dragon, you know.

Marita (10:07):
I love him.
Oh my.
I do too.
He's my favorite.
I love Dante.
Whoa.
I love Ryder.

Kristina (10:16):
I could see that.
But I do also love Leon.
He is funny.

Marita (10:22):
He is.
And he is just so carefree.
I love when he like ripped upthe pawn shot, though.
I was like, oh, I You got angry.
Okay.

Kristina (10:33):
Yeah.
That's exactly how Garrett

Marita (10:35):
felt,

Kristina (10:36):
right?
That whole reaction.
He's like.

Marita (10:39):
Whoops.
Well, like when she's out ontheir date for the ball or
whatever, and or when hewouldn't open, when she wouldn't
open the present, the box.
That's what it was before theywent out.
And she's like, he kept growlingat her and she's like, oh, I
need to make him make that noiseagain.

Kristina (10:53):
Yeah.
I was like, I guess a

Marita (10:54):
big kitty man would be NICE's

Kristina (10:56):
a big kitty man.

Marita (10:59):
And I didn't realize that.
Ne Nehemiah, not Nehemiah, that's the other chick.
Um, ne neman lion is what the,oh.
Lion that Hercules killed.
They were supposed to be unkillable and that was like the
furs he wore was a ne neman lionor whatever.
Yeah, the Greek lions.
Oh,

Kristina (11:17):
I didn't know that.
Like their nails

Marita (11:19):
could break through anything.
Their fur was supposed to belike impenetrable.
So like one of the fiercestdistorts, I guess.

Kristina (11:28):
Hmm.
Okay.
Leon, we see you.
When I looked that up, I waslike, now we're talking

Marita (11:33):
about men.
Whoops.
Sorry.
This book, the Ruthless Boys, there's so many men.
I really do wish, I will sayread them in between the Zodiac
Academy.
Take the time.
Yeah, like I'm sad I didn't dothat.
And Me Too, take the advice.
But like the

Kristina (11:49):
book that I am in it is, they are older than Zodiac
Academy and so like they meetthe heirs and the heirs are only
like 14.
And so like.
Huh.
I think, I think I wish I readthis series first and then
Zodiac Academy.

Marita (12:07):
Okay.
Because I've seen a different, few different timelines where it
was like read the first threebooks and then like one or two,
I saw that one

Kristina (12:13):
too.

Marita (12:13):
And then one was like the first three, those five and
then the next, and I was like, Igot nine to go with Zodiac
Academy, so let me just focus.
Yeah.
Which I, I regret that now.

Kristina (12:23):
Same that, that took a long time.
Okay.
Back to business.
What's

Marita (12:29):
your thoughts on Nehemiah from throwing a glass?
The, she was the healer.
Oh, no, no, no, no.
That was the best friend.
I'm sorry.
I was thinking Vin Um, Nehemiahwas the friend who got, who was
killed.
Oh,

Kristina (12:42):
that broke my heart.
That hurt.
Shatters.
Shatters tears.
Like, and I know a lot ofauthors kill off characters if
they're, like, if theircharacter can't grow more.
And like she had her place andthat truly did like fuel Alan

(13:03):
and the rest of Alan's story.
But she lost

Marita (13:08):
Sam and then she lost her new best friend lost.
And then yeah, like, are youkidding me?
And then she was stuck with kaleand

Kristina (13:15):
like that.

Marita (13:17):
Oh, that definitely hurt.
Yeah.
Her death was like a chest movethough, to some extent.
Exactly.
I have chills.
You can't see them.
I know, but they're there.
I know.
That was my el elbow was rough.
That was awful.
There was, there's this TikToksound that like, it's
essentially, I, I'm pretty sureit's like a domestic violet
sound.
Like a woman screaming and likedoors slamming and I saw someone

(13:38):
make a real out of it.
It was like, when I hear this, this is the sound I think of
when.
Selena found her friend dead, and I was like, oh my gosh.
Like that just gave me

Kristina (13:47):
chills.

Marita (13:48):
I was like, holy shit.

Kristina (13:50):
Um, I couldn't imagine.
No.

Marita (13:55):
Okay, I've in a padded room

Kristina (13:58):
for real.
I mean, and then I'd aven you,

Marita (14:01):
then I would avenge you after a few years in a patent
room.

Kristina (14:06):
Bryce and Danica.
Ugh, man.
And then there's Elaine.
I am not the biggest fan ofElaine.

Marita (14:16):
No, I don't even care.
I don't care.
I hope we don't have her book.
Like I I would prefer someoneelse.
I would prefer, I want an Armandstory.
I don't want her story.
Or more

Kristina (14:26):
like a more, I don't know, like Sarah Jma.
You need to really come outwith, I mean, a top notch story.
If it's gonna be focused onElaine and as real.
I don't know.

Marita (14:40):
She went hard, like in the ward.
She was kind of like a knife inthe dark and popped outta
nowhere.
But I am just not pulled intoher story at all.

Kristina (14:48):
Me either.
I don't know.
It's not my cup of tea.
I wasn't pulled into Nessaeither in the beginning like,
like in the beginning.
I was like, wow, she's a bitch.
Like.
Like all of these charactershave been bitchy at some point.

(15:08):
Mm-hmm.
But I never, like, straight upwas like, you're not somebody I
would wanna be friends with.
Like, and Farrah gave her somuch grace with like spending
all her money and all of that inthe beginning, and I was like,
no, no.
She strikes you out.

Marita (15:26):
No.
Yeah, I get that.
I was like, wait.
What, then you peel back thelayers and she did evolve and
I'll give her that.
Exactly.
Yeah.
So did Kale.
So I'll give him that too.
I, I know, I, I know I spoke illof him, but 10 books later he
does evolve.
Yeah.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
And, and so Darcy is our likequeen of strategist though, and
that queen of like quietvengeance, right?

(15:49):
She is like the sweet one thinksit through, but still

Kristina (15:52):
super book smart.
Like that's why she's perfectfor Lance.
Lance a lot,

Marita (16:01):
sir.
Daddy, Lance.
Oh.
And then with Nesta, she is our,one of our emotional powerhouses
through these series.
Like she is the, the emotion, like it is all there with her.
Yeah.
You see the rage, you feel herrage, you see her healing.
You feel her healing.
And that's like that.
I did love.
You kind of have to push throughand get.

(16:22):
Through her bitchiness.
And maybe that's why the storywasn't why she shifted the story
into a third person perspective.
'cause I don't know if like Icould have read it with that
much anger or rage if it waslike I, I,'cause like I ain't
that rageful,

Kristina (16:36):
that's a really good like theory.
I'd even like think about that.
'cause that's true.
Yeah.

Marita (16:43):
I was like, why did they just randomly switch the switch?
Like, yeah, and I was about tosay that.
I was like, oh, you know, Idon't know if I would've read
that from that perspective oflike how angry she was and then
if I could have understood herhealing from a first point.
Like probably because I, I don'tknow.
We've all healed from somethings and, but seeing it third
person really, you were like, damn, bitch, you made it.

(17:05):
You are the rock on which the, the, the surf crashes.
The wave crashes.
It

Kristina (17:11):
took her.
Oh yeah.
I'm like, I have so manythoughts going in my head.
I'm like, she would just suck abitch.
But she probably had the biggestgrowth, I would say, out of all
of like our favorite, favorite,uh, female main characters,
which is really cool to see.

(17:34):
Yes, but like, why did you notwanna be a fa?
I would've jumped in that.

Marita (17:40):
Dang, you want do it twice?
Back flip.
Her and I, I'll tell you, Iloved, and I know like people
did not like Manon reading.
Like there's a whole controversyon some of her chapters when she
first starts popping up in thestory of throwing a glass and
you're like, why is the witchhave chapters?
I loved her from day one and Iloved her redemption and I loved

(18:04):
that.
Like she like got with Dar, notDarius, Dorian.
Dorian.
I loved her.
I thought like just the revealof her heart and the reveal of
who she actually was and likethe.
The whole nature verse nurtureand just, she was raised to be
evil and didn't wanna be.
I was like, I love you and youhave a dragon that likes

(18:25):
flowers.
Or a y Vern a a.
That was dragon.

Kristina (18:31):
I love that.
That she would just find him inflowers and just rolling around
like a dog.
That's what I was just gonnasay.
It

Marita (18:38):
makes me think of my dogs rolling in the, the grass.

Kristina (18:41):
I mean, they're just giant dogs at that rate.
Um, I Did you like her, her FIat the end?
Yes.
At like, after I got to knowher, like the first few
chapters, I was like, who isthis random character?
All of a sudden?
Like, what is going on?

(19:03):
Um, but I love that she was theone who realistically made
Dorian like fight.
The prints inside of him, basically the scene.
Yeah.
And she noticed that like whenthey were in the field and she
noticed that, I always thinkabout that and like she saw it

(19:26):
in his eyes.
I'm like, you have to be so, um,like aware.
And you were able to like trulysee that that was not him.
Like that's cool.
And I wish, you know that vibe

Marita (19:42):
is like real.

Kristina (19:44):
Yeah.
And like I really wish thatDorian actually realized that
about her, his dad, and hedidn't really get that like he
did.
Little bit.
That

Marita (19:56):
was sad.
That was really sad.
I cried.
That's why I didn't hate that, that evil character as much as
I, I mean, the vlog I did, butnot his dad.
Exactly he said, yeah, um, likeLionel sucks and he chose to
suck and he chose to take onmore darkness

Kristina (20:10):
so bad.
But now, and I know technicallythrone, a glass is done.
What about Dorian's brother?
Am I the only one who just likethe Dorian and Dorian's brother
and the mom are just like MIA,like.

Marita (20:29):
We just like, that's an unresolved story.
Maybe it'll come back up in theother, I don't know.
Maybe like, maybe it'll comeback up somewhere.
Dunno, maybe we get like a manin black Beak story.
Dorian story.
I would

Kristina (20:43):
love that.
No, like when it sounded likeyou said Men in Black.
I was like, what?

Marita (20:50):
That would be a weird crossover, but I'd read it.
The Man in Black Beak, it doessound like Men in black.
Yeah.
When, when Alan spared her life,I was like, Ooh.
'cause she was like, thatreminded me of like, what was
it?
It was the.
She spared her friend's life.
Remember Alan was about to killthe other witch and then she

(21:11):
screamed for her.
Yes.
And she, she stopped.
'cause she's like, that's how Ifelt.
It's like for my friend.
And I'm just like, oh yeah.
That's why

Kristina (21:18):
I love Alan.
She's the girl's girl across theboard that just gave me chills.
Oh.

Marita (21:24):
And I love Arman Arman's, our last emotional
powerhouse.
And that is my, I love her.
I want her story.

Kristina (21:31):
She, I want her story to too.
I also want more story though.

Marita (21:35):
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (21:37):
There has to be something going on there.

Marita (21:42):
There's a lot to that.
'cause she is a badass, whatevershe is

Kristina (21:47):
never her sneaker or

Marita (21:49):
Yeah.
Am I think she's in Aster.
I really do like re to CrescentCity three.
I'm like, she's definitely,'cause she.
Was around when they were stillout, got locked up.
So I think she's either in astai or something.
Um,

Kristina (22:05):
I don't like that.
Um, heavenly

Marita (22:07):
if there's so, yeah, maybe like a fallen angel,

Kristina (22:12):
something like that.
She, yeah, she's a frickingbadass.

Marita (22:18):
Maybe she's whatever.
Like she's, she's a quiet brauswas.
Yeah, she's scary.
She's like that.
She's, yeah.
You just know she doesn't haveto say anything.
Kinda, her power is just knownlike, Ooh, you're otherworldly
and dangerous.

Kristina (22:34):
She can just like, look at you.
But I, okay.
So I also think Amin and Fury, fury, fury from, um, the city
are the either the same orconnected somehow,

Marita (22:46):
like the same kind of being, yeah.
Interesting.
And'cause she, she was anotherlike, quiet, badass

Kristina (22:55):
and like no one really knows what either of them are
capable of.
They just know like, not to messwith them.
Like they're those people thatyou can just, they can just give
you a look and you get your shittogether.
Like,

Marita (23:12):
like an old Italian grandma.

Kristina (23:14):
Yeah.

Marita (23:20):
Um, all right, next up.
So these are like our second, like back, not background
characters, but they're not starof the show, but they like, they
steal the scene.

Kristina (23:32):
Geraldine, I, she is the ultimate girl's girl though
too.
Like, I love her.
She is a die hard friend and.
Annoying as hell.
But I love her.
So annoying.
I hated reading some of herchapters because I'm like, she
had the list.
It was awful.
I was like, what the hell is sherambling about?

Marita (23:55):
I have to fast forward, boop boop, boop, boop, boop.

Kristina (23:58):
But she truly, and her dad, and I love how her dad, um,
fell in love with Darius's momand all of that, but she just
like.
She has a

Marita (24:12):
heart of gold.
She really does, and she bakeslike.
You wanna bring me Butterybiscuits?
I will say that whole bookbagels, all they ever talk about
buttery bagels is these, thesegirls who are warriors eating
bagels.
And I'm like, no one is eatingprotein.
I get that they're bothvegetarian, but nobody's eating
any kind of protein and they'rejust eating chocolate croissants
and bagels.

(24:32):
And you wouldn't be able to be awarrior?
No.

Kristina (24:37):
Okay.
So do EL is also a vegetarian.
Mm-hmm.
I need to know, are theseauthors,

Marita (24:45):
vegetarians?
I'm probably, that would be mythought, like, we'll have to
look that up.
It's weird.
La Haba.
When La Haba sacrificed herself,I was in full, like ugly crying.
It was.
I, I was, I was explaining thatpart of the story to Emma the
other day in the car, and I wascrying, telling her that I was

(25:08):
like, she sacrificed herself forher friends.
I was like, it was ridiculous.

Kristina (25:15):
Every time I think of that whole like, underground,
um, um, like library that theyhad there, that she had to
sacrifice herself, like to savewell and like to save her
friends.
Um.
I think of the underground onein Zodiac Academy.

(25:38):
Where they The one that was theunder the water.

Marita (25:41):
Oh, with the beasts in the water.
Yeah.
I get that.
Okay.
I did not put that together inmy head.
I,

Kristina (25:52):
those I know are not like totally different authors,
but that's what I always thoughtabout.
Um, little

Marita (26:00):
La Haba and the fact she loved like trash TV and would
like sit on her little, likeBarbie bed.
She's a fire Sprite.
She was like a pinup girl, buthas a tiny little flame.
I was like, ah, that's adorable.

Kristina (26:11):
Like a tiny little flame.
And she like a Tinkerbell

Marita (26:13):
flame.

Kristina (26:14):
Such a huge difference

Marita (26:17):
to

Kristina (26:17):
save.

Marita (26:18):
She helped kill an archangel, like, are you kidding
me?
Branded a slave, a lessercreature.
And she helped like.
And that's what they do in thethird book too, with the other
fi, like with the fire sprayqueen that she frees outta the
glass ball.
Mm-hmm.
And forget what her name was.
Don't

Kristina (26:32):
underestimate your size.

Marita (26:35):
Mm-hmm.
Or what society tells you aboutyourself.
That's what I love about thesebooks, is there's no like
lesser, and we have Rosalie Ra,which is Dante's cousin, sister.
I love that Italian clan cousin.
Let me tell you.
Me.
Is it the cousins?
Okay.
Yeah.
Oh, she is a alpha femalewerewolf and

Kristina (26:57):
so hot.
It's cool.
She comes in more in like thisseries, right?
Second and third?
Yeah, the second and third.
And it's really cool to see heras her younger self before she
turns into like the badass sidecharacter in Zodiac Academy.

Marita (27:17):
These books are so well written, like not just the
Zodiac Academy, like all ofthese books we're talking about
and like we're talking aboutthese people, like they're our
actual friends.
Like that's like people who, ifyou like, haven't read these
books or aren't into likefantasy reading, like just
really give it a chance.
'cause it's, I would say maybestart with like Zodiac Academy
'cause there's not a lot ofworld building.
It really just jumps right intothe story.

(27:39):
Yeah.
It is like a lot easier to jumpinto.
It's a little deterring withsome of these other books where
you're like, why have you beentalking about trees for 97
minutes or like 97 pages?
But um, yeah, and then Bruce Leehas her own series.
The Dark More Penitentiary booksare like, she's the lead in

(28:01):
those.
So that's what we have to readnext.

Kristina (28:06):
Mm-hmm.

Marita (28:06):
Mm.

Kristina (28:07):
It's just a awesome world.
Can I go.

Marita (28:12):
I would love to, I would love to be a Phoenix.
That'd be sweet.
Or dragon or any of them Reallya wolf.

Kristina (28:18):
Anything.
Just gimme, gimme something.

Marita (28:21):
Ew.
I would not wanna be a rat.
No, I'm sorry.
I know like there's no lesserorders, but I don't know if I
would thrive.
Okay.
What if these, let's, let's talkabout if these worlds crossed.
Oh, who we think I, I think Toriand Nesto would be like instant
best friends or they'd kill eachother in the first five minutes.

(28:43):
Okay.
No in between.
Like, that's it.

Kristina (28:45):
I think they'd kill each other.

Marita (28:48):
I

Kristina (28:48):
think Tori would give Nesto a chance.
Nesto would not give Tori achance,

Marita (28:53):
and Nesta would kill Tori.
I think Nesta would win in thatfight.
Well, yeah, for

Kristina (28:58):
sure.

Marita (28:58):
For sure.

Kristina (29:00):
Um, yeah.
There's no in between one.

Marita (29:06):
I do think Manon and Morgan would be besties
wholeheartedly.
100%.
With a whole lot of likebisexual flirting, like yes.
It would be like a very, itwould be like when Darius and
Lance had their bond.
You're like, are they gonna kissUhhuh?
Are they gonna make out?

(29:28):
No.
Okay.
Just thought they were, buttheir besties, that's like how I
feel like man and Morgan wouldbe without any celestial ties.

Kristina (29:37):
They definitely would like, they, and they would
respect each other though.
Respect, um, violet and Bryce.
Ooh, that'd be a good one.
That would be really good.
I love Bryce.
I just wanna be here.

Marita (29:52):
The two of them going through like the meat market,
picking up poisons.

Kristina (29:58):
Can you imagine

Marita (30:01):
they,

Kristina (30:02):
they'd be a powerhouse.
For sure.
For sure too.

Marita (30:06):
Those would be some good spinoff books.
You know, like when you Oh, whenlike,

Kristina (30:11):
yeah,

Marita (30:12):
back in the night, back in the two thousands when they
would like do crossover shows.
You're like, why are the peoplefrom new girl over here on.
Cheers.
Those aren't ever crossoversthat happened.
Those are just the two showsthat came to mind.
Cheers.

Kristina (30:28):
Um, um, LA Haba and Geraldine.
Yes.
They're both just die hard, likeloyal friends, hype Girls.
I

Marita (30:39):
love it.

Kristina (30:40):
100% besties.

Marita (30:42):
They would be besties and then La Haba Can Bake, can
help warm the buttery bagels.

Kristina (30:50):
Or fire.
Fire spray.
Watching trash tv.
Geraldine would have somethingto say about watching trash TV
though.

Marita (31:00):
That would be like where they get into their like old
grumpy, many bickers.
Yeah.
Um, who needs therapy the most?
Oh, out of these women.
I'm gonna say Alan.
Oh, I was gonna say Farrah likeflat out why you thought you
could go back over that wallstill drives me crazy.
Like there's some, for a mantouche, like Tarn Nott, I'd go

(31:24):
over any wall for Taryn.
For Tamlin.

Kristina (31:29):
And I mean, she was clever.
I

Marita (31:32):
she was clever, but like there's some mental health
issues going on there.

Kristina (31:36):
Well, she did have to, she was like the glue trying to.
Hold her family together

Marita (31:44):
as the baby sister.
The 14-year-old.

Kristina (31:47):
Yeah.
That

Marita (31:50):
therapy.

Kristina (31:51):
That alone therapy.
For sure.

Marita (31:54):
Alynn would, Alynn would like weaponize the The therapy
against the therapist?
Yeah, she would.
And then she'd learned copingstrategies to just manipulate
people with, so she would justmake therapy another weapon.
That's why I love her.

Kristina (32:11):
I love, I love Alan and she's good.
I love Bryce.
Bryce probably definitely neededtherapy after Danica died.

Marita (32:22):
Oh, all the therapy.
Yeah.
But she chose like.
Rage and tequila.
Same with Tori.
That's like maybe they would begood friends.
Yeah,

Kristina (32:35):
they probably would.
Um,'cause Tori would go to batfor Darcy, like she would do
anything to protect her.
The fact that she like offeredup herself, or, well, she didn't
necessarily offer up herself toLionel, but.

(32:55):
Oh, that whole situation I hatedso much.
I just hate him.
That

Marita (33:00):
stressed me

Kristina (33:01):
out.

Marita (33:02):
I lion.
I follow some girl and she juststarted Zodiac Academy and like,
again, like re and that's why Iwas like, you know what?
I should re-listen to it.
And you just, from where theystart to like those problems
that arise.
And I remember just texting backand forth with you, like, that
series was stressful.
I'm like, why?
Because they, they end everybook.
Like not with a bow tie, withlike maybe some problems, like

(33:22):
just full blown shit storm.
Same with the Ruthless, theRuthless Boys.
That first book, I was like, Iwho wait.
I was like, it's done.
Like if I a Kindle, like it'sKindle,

Kristina (33:35):
I would be so mad having to, that happened to me
with Haunt

Marita (33:38):
Adeline.
I like finished the book and Ihad to order the next one and I
was like, are you kidding me?
And that's not a book that's atthe library, so what do I do?
I don't think so.
That's when I bought a Kindle.
I was like, I can't, this is, Ican't live like this anymore.
Waiting for stories.
What is this?
No, but now if it's not includedin Kindle Unlimited, I'm like.

(34:01):
Mm.
Like, what was it?
The, the villain's assistant tothe, the villain was free and
then you had like, the secondone wasn't, and I was like, how,
how badly do I need to do?
That's smart though.
Discovery.
I

Kristina (34:10):
know that is smart.
Like how bad,

Marita (34:13):
how bad do I need another, and you wanted me

Kristina (34:14):
to read lights out and I was like, well, it's not on
Kindle Unlimited, so I'm gonnaput that on my tv.

Marita (34:21):
There's so many free books to read.
That's why I love Spotify.
Shout out to Spotify.
'cause they have all those, thepodium and the audio, the
graphic, like the graphic audiosfor free, or, I mean, included
in your membership.
But so shout out to them.
Buy your stocks on Spotify.
It's probably gonna keep goingup.

Kristina (34:38):
I need to, I still have not made a Spotify account.
I have niches, but

Marita (34:43):
Oh, well.
That's when I send you thosebooks.
They're always on there.
Like Lights Out is, and that'sone of the books that was better
listened to than it was read.
The Lights Out.
Lights Out.
Mm-hmm.
Because his voice was hot, hot.

Kristina (35:01):
We have a lot that we did not go over and we are
running outta time.

Marita (35:05):
That's okay.
We talked about what we neededto I think.
Yeah, we did.
Okay.
Maybe we'll do a, we'll endwith, oh, go ahead.

Kristina (35:12):
I was gonna say maybe we can do a female main
character part two at somepoint.

Marita (35:17):
Always.
Um, always.
If you had to room with one ofthese women for a week, for a
whole week, who would you pick?

Kristina (35:27):
Hmm.
Hmm.
Of course I wanna say Bryce, butI'm honestly thinking, Darcy,

Marita (35:39):
stop.
That's what I was gonna say.
Really?
I feel like she'd be theeasiest.
That was

Kristina (35:44):
my thought.

Marita (35:48):
I don't have to walk on eggshells around these other
women.

Kristina (35:51):
Yeah.
Like I feel like shewholeheartedly is like the most
down to earth.
Like real, not just like thisangry soul all the time.
Yes.

Marita (36:08):
Like she is the sunshine, the silver lining kind
of gal.

Kristina (36:11):
Yeah.
And that's why her and Tori'sdynamic works so well.

Marita (36:17):
Who would you wanna go to the gym with?
Alin.
That's what I was gonna say.
Or Imogen, even though she's noton our list of anywhere on here,
but Ooh.
Yeah,

Kristina (36:32):
no.
Yeah, probably Aly.
She's just a freaking badass.

Marita (36:36):
Unless Nesta is taking us to Arian training, then I'll
go with

Kristina (36:39):
her.
No, she would yell at me at thegym and I'd probably cry like,

Marita (36:45):
but will Cassie and RI be there?

Kristina (36:49):
That is the real question, because

Marita (36:51):
then maybe I won't try to impress

Kristina (36:52):
them.
We're gonna get cut off, butthanks for tuning into episode
three.

Marita (37:00):
I hope everyone enjoyed our female main characters.
We know we love them,

Kristina (37:05):
we love our girls.
You need any of

Marita (37:06):
these books and you enjoyed it, please let us know.
Yeah.
And tell us who your favorites.
Peace out Girl Scout.

Kristina (37:13):
Love y'all.
Bye.
