For Wales, See Wales is a podcast helping you better understand the most wonderful country on earth - Wales. Each week we shine a light on the utterly bizarre (and often hilarious) world of Welsh politics and issues. So many people care deeply about Cymru but very little attention is given to it by the wider UK media. This podcast aims to help fill this gap. Guardian columnist Will Hayward along with comedians Mel Owen and Robin Morgan are here to pick apart the political scene in Wales with a combination of journalistic insight and satirical sideswipes. For Wales, See Wales is a Hayman Media production.
This week the Pod gets silly as they look at a Welsh Conservative Senedd Member who dabbles with a (totally natural looking) social media video and gets very upset inside the Welsh Parliament.
Robin, Will and Mel then delve into what Jeremy Corbyn’s potential new party means for people in Wales.
The three then get serious as they deep dive into how religious organisations are taking public money in Wales while d...
The three are reunited at last! Mel, Robin and Will dive into the Welsh Labour conference to discuss Keir Starmer’s dine and dash, Eluned Morgan hitting the decks and why Wales’ largest party are so disorganised.
Elsewhere Robin and Mel do a dramatic reading of the online pile-on Will received after suggesting that the UK be more democratic. Spoiler - Alfred the Great was not impressed.
Plus, full details o...
With Robin away, who knows where, this week Mel and Will carry the baton together to look at ANOTHER shafting of Wales courtesy of our pals in London.
Will breaks down how housing in Wales is holding us all back and while deliberate decisions by UK Labour are increasing homelessness in Cymru.
Mel then reaches new levels of outrage as a UK Treasury minister tell Wales to “be grateful” for being shortchanged.
...
This week Robin and Will grieve for Mel who is swifty realising “if you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime”.
With the pod’s representative farmer due to be back next week, the pair take a look at Mark Drakeford getting angry and Andrew RT Davies totally not saying a word in an odd way.
They then look at how Rachel Reeves has given Wales mutton and told them it’s lamb plus asking why Welsh Labour aren’t doing ...
This week Robin and Mel threaten to kill a listener while we discover that Mel is, in fact, marriage material.
The gang dive into Nigel Farage’s trip to Wales and look at how his party are going all out to target Cymru. This brings us to the big question - who actually wants to go down a mine?
Elsewhere Chancellor Rachel Reeves reboots to give Wales some cash, but is it enough?

In this week’s episode, Will spills the tea on everything that went down at the Welsh Conservatives party conference in Llangollen. From Kemi Badenoch’s MSP gaff, to serious typos, Darren Millar's olive branch and Jacob Rees-Mogg’s commitment to his wife’s necessities, there is a lot for Robin, Mel and Will to unpack!

This week the pod heads out on the road. Setting up camp inside the Senedd/Welsh Parliament the gang invite any politician to come one and chew the fat.
The very morning that we arrived a gobsmacking poll was released that put Plaid top, with Reform just behind and Labour on just 18%. First Minister Eluned Morgan had also given a speech where she (sorta) reestablished the clear red water between herself and Keir Starmer. ...
The pod welcomes their first ever Conservative guest. Brecon and Radnorshire MS James Evans joins the team on his birthday! What could be more fitting than a cake and Union Jack balloon.
James provides some real insights into whether his party would work with Reform, what the relationship is like with their fellow Tories in London and why he backed Liz Truss. Fair play to Mr Evans, he doesn’t hold back in his answers.

Mel's back comes bearing gifts (and truth bombs) for the boys.

This week the pod (minus Mel who is off betting on the dogs) ask the question on everyone's lips - why is steel making at Port Talbot not as important to the UK Government as Scunthorpe?
Robin and Will then talk about a spike in support for Welsh independence and get very confused about the Plaid supporters who oppose it.
They also look at how Welsh Tory politicians have been charged by the police and seek t...
Well this pod sure descended into carnage…
The gang starts by looking at why Wales is paying its young people to leave (with Robin getting VERY angry when Will asks about his student debt).
They then explore how the UK Government has found a whole new way to shaft Wales.
It concludes with a BAFTA worthy performance by Mel and Robin as they reenact a Senedd committee. They really commit to this and it descends into chaos with Robin go...
In this week’s episode, Will, Mel and Robin ponder whether an influx of global bad news stories is causing the public to minimise their current affairs consumption.
The trio unpack what the UK Government’s highly-debated Spring Statement will mean for Wales, and discuss a very awkward exchange in FMQs.

The gang also discuss Welsh Labour’s request that members feedback on any news or politics-focussed programmes. Astonishingly, FWSW was not on their to-watch list!
