Victory and Overcoming! 5/9/25 The only defendable position the body of Christ has is the Word and what they have received based on their faith in the Word. Learn to believe and receive based on the Word, not your gender or skin color. After you resist, the peace of God will rest on you. He is the Prince of Peace. Remember women, only the church (and military) is not covered by Title 9, the church is exempt from treating you fairly or how God sees you. Stick with the Word. The church still has not understood 1 Cor. 11:3, 1 Cor. 14:34 and 1 Tim 2:8 correctly. Jesus distributes Eph. 4 gifts outside of the consideration of gender. He calls as many women pastors, teachers, evangelists, apostles, and prophets as He does men. Where are they? If they are in the church, are they included at the same level of leadership, pay, and opportunity as their male counterparts? Perhaps the body of Christ should be more concerned about God and HIS WORD than the culture or church tradition. Perhaps if the body of Christ stepped back a moment and pursued Jesus and His Word, they would know Him better and reflect His heart for His people and the lost better. Defend your position of victory from the Word. That is the resistance that makes the adversary flee. A good book to read Is Man and Woman, One in Christ by Philip B. Payne. Are You A Charlotte?
In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
