Rajul Shah (b. 1968, Mumbai) is an abstract artist working between Singapore and the United States, best known for her mixed media Kintsugi-inspired paintings that explore themes of resilience, renewal, and emotional balance. With a background in fine art studies at Temple University’s Tyler School of Art in Tokyo and deep mentorship experiences, Shah’s work integrates meditative layers of acrylic, oil, gouache, paper, and metal leaf. Her unique technique and rich compositions draw from the Japanese philosophy of Kintsugi—mending brokenness with gold—to reflect a deep reverence for healing, transformation, and the beauty of imperfection.
Her ongoing body of work delves into the restoration of energetic harmony through the lens of chakra healing, offering introspective journeys through color and texture. One of her signature series, Introspections in Resilience, weaves abstract expression with narratives of strength and self-reclamation. Shah has exhibited internationally at venues such as the National Art Center in Tokyo, the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the XIII Florence Biennale, with her art held in private collections worldwide. Whether viewed in person or online, her work radiates a spiritual dialogue between the viewer and the art—an invitation to repair, reflect, and rise.
