My name is Drew.
We are here with...
My name is Gabe, and we have aspecial guest today, a couple
special guests.
SPEAKER_01 (00:34):
Yep.
SPEAKER_02 (00:35):
Aubrey and Johnny,
stage name Pobrey.
Yeah.
If you're not familiar, verypopular on TikTok.
Pabri is, so give them a followand check their page out.
Been a great partner for us hereat Fresh Patch.
We've been...
Had the pleasure to work withJohnny for a couple years now.
So, yeah, thank you for beingone of our partners and taking
(00:59):
the drive to be down here withus.
I know it's a lengthy one, butit's always a fun time having
you here.
So, appreciate you coming by.
SPEAKER_01 (01:05):
I love it.
I love it.
I love how, like, I don't wantto say desolate, but how, like,
kind of like Oxnard is its own, like, area.
Yeah, for sure.
Yeah, it's a
SPEAKER_02 (01:14):
different scenery,
you know, coming from Orange
County and stuff.
Yeah, so if you've never been toOxnard, there's a lot of farm
fields here right by the coast.
So, nice little nooky.
have here, so if you are fromthe city, it is nice to come
here and everything.
Yeah, for sure.
And all the rains have beenhappening, so it's been super
green out, which has been prettycool to see.
Yeah, you're really experiencingit well right now.
Usually all the hills are deadand stuff, so it's starting to
(01:36):
look more like Hawaii aroundhere.
But no sunshine today, sadly.
Hopefully we get some sun herein the next few months.
But anyways, moving on, wewanted to just get you on here
to ask you some questions aboutyou and Pauvery, and then just
some obviously some potty talkquestions um and how you know
(01:57):
potty um training was withaubrey so we'll just dive right
into it um and you know startwith some questions but we were
interested in what was themotivation to start poverty's
page and why um and also um didyou get Aubrey has a puppy.
Did you start the page rightaway?
SPEAKER_01 (02:18):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Well, it's actually kind offunny because I got her as a
puppy.
And, um, we, I think we had herfor like three months before we
posted anything or even tookphotos of her.
Like we were just wanting to,you know, like she was a really
bad puppy.
So she took out like, she tookout like all of our time.
Like she was, she was a crazydog.
Like she would bite all the timeand it, you know, it's like,
(02:39):
it's cute, you know, when theirteeth are like not as sharp, but
she had like the sharp kindwhere it was just like every
time she'd bite my hand, itwould bleed.
I'd try to pick her up to myface and she would just bite me
on the nose.
My nose, I think I still havelike a scar if you really But
yeah, so we didn't do anycontent, but then I came from
like the marketing world where Iwould run a lot of ads and I
(03:02):
started putting her, like I hada jewelry brand at the time and
I started putting her in the adsand like all of the ads were
cheaper for me.
So like it costs like half theprice to reach more people.
And I was like, this is like ahack, you know?
People love
SPEAKER_02 (03:16):
dogs.
SPEAKER_01 (03:16):
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And then I found out about doginfluencers.
I think I found, well, I kind ofknew dog pages were a thing
because I would like, uh, runlike dog websites.
And then I would like reach outto these pages and they'd be
like, you know, here's like$50for, you know, they'd have a
hundred K followers and like,it's, here's like$50 to, to
post.
Um, and then I was like, youknow, I'm just gonna start my
(03:36):
own.
I don't want to have pay these, like these dog pages.
Yeah.
And then, uh, I like, you know, followed a few influencers at
the time.
I think like Brody, that dudewas one of them and classic.
Yeah.
That
SPEAKER_02 (03:50):
dog is like a legit
celebrity.
SPEAKER_01 (03:52):
No, no, it's crazy.
Like, Yeah.
Have you ever seen him inpublic?
Like if you're ever like withhim or anything, you like people
come up to him like, Oh my God,is that Brody?
But like, like that's like, Heprobably gets that every single
day he's out with Brody.
I see those
SPEAKER_02 (04:05):
videos of him at
like the baseball game and
there's like crowds of people.
That's so cool.
Didn't he take them courtsidetoo?
Yeah, the Lakers game.
Yeah, yeah.
That's so cool.
Oh, by the way, go Lakers forall Lakers fans out there.
Playoff starting.
SPEAKER_01 (04:20):
Yeah.
I'm sure he gets invited all thetime.
He'd probably turn some of themdown.
Yeah, for
SPEAKER_02 (04:24):
sure, dude.
SPEAKER_01 (04:26):
But yeah, you know,
I actually got into like a
clubhouse.
I don't think that's even athing anymore, but I got into a
clubhouse with him and a fewother dog influencers and they
just gave me a lot of tips andit was really congruent with
some of the ads that I wasmaking for like my own websites
and stuff like that so I juststarted doing it and you know I
think my girlfriend actuallyposted one video and it went
(04:48):
viral and it was of her like shehad like a bee sting and yeah it
went viral and I was like ohdude I'm going to keep doing
this
SPEAKER_02 (04:56):
for sure yeah your
page is very inspiring like I
was kind of saying off camerabefore you know Um, it's
motivating if you do have a dogand you know, you kind of want
to, you see how this guy'srunning his page, like, wow, it
looks, looks really fun.
And you know, you're obviouslykind of making a living off of
it too, a little bit, you know, which is a perk.
So, um, yeah, cool.
We love, we love Aubrey's page.
And for all you viewers, um,they, we have actually two dogs.
(05:19):
in frame today.
Yes, we do.
They might pop in and out.
They're all obviously downthere.
Aubrey's right here.
Aubrey's underneath.
She's a little camera shy, butdon't worry.
We'll get her in frame beforethe episode's over.
We'll hear their voices a littlebit.
Absolutely.
Oakley's being a bad boy downthere.
Hopefully he's not on frame, butwhatever.
One thing that I think is supercool about your page is you can
(05:40):
really...
like feel like the love and theconnection that like you have
with her.
Oh,
SPEAKER_01 (05:45):
yeah,
SPEAKER_02 (05:46):
no, absolutely.
Like you're really good at likebringing that out.
What sort of tips would you giveto someone who's like getting
started and, and, you know, looking to go deeper and
becoming like an influencer?
SPEAKER_01 (05:56):
Uh, you know,
there's like, I'll probably just
like keep it surface level.
Cause like I'm, I really lovedlike the, to talk about like the
like intricate details, but Iwould say, um, the best tip is
just constantly film your dog, especially when they're doing
something that you're like, bro, dogs don't do that.
You know what I mean?
Like, cause Aubrey does a lot oflike dogs don't do that type
things.
(06:17):
And, um, it's, if you can getthose on camera and connect them
to like a specific emotion orlike even just a trend or
something, your video is likepretty guaranteed to go viral.
You know?
Like if your dog's like, I seena video, I was like this, this
like dog, this, I think itmight've been a cat.
She was like putting her, thecat was just putting its paw in
water, like in a cup of water.
(06:37):
And then someone just titled itsomething funny.
That was like a baseline.
SPEAKER_02 (06:41):
Pranking your
friend, you know?
SPEAKER_01 (06:42):
Yeah.
Yeah.
It was like, um, this is why mywater tastes like cat flavored
or something like that.
But it's, yeah, it's like thesame, same thing basically.
SPEAKER_02 (06:52):
Yeah.
Yeah.
No, you do a really good job.
I've always said that withediting your videos,
SPEAKER_01 (06:57):
your voiceovers and
stuff are
SPEAKER_02 (06:58):
really, really
killer.
SPEAKER_01 (07:00):
That means a lot
because I get like a comment all
the time and I, and I actuallykind of know this, but my voice
kind of sounds like kermit thefrog like it's like it's like a
little like uh deeper and likeyeah it's like you know people
think i need to just go like youknow but i really don't it's
just like
SPEAKER_02 (07:14):
i'm
SPEAKER_01 (07:15):
just like have a
long neck or something i don't
know
SPEAKER_02 (07:19):
well i think your
voice sounds great yeah
appreciate that it definitelypops like in the videos you know
it's unique you know so that'syeah it's a very unique voice
which brings it all together inyour videos really really well
um and like i've always beenimpressed by how you edit and
cut and like have the voiceoverin there and stuff so appreciate
that Yeah.
Yeah.
It's cool.
I mean, a lot of, a lot of pageswill like kind of give their dog
a voice, a personality.
(07:40):
And it's cool that like, you'reable to do that without like
actually like speaking for her,you know, like I feel like I
know Aubrey's personality, youknow?
And like,
SPEAKER_01 (07:49):
so yeah, I have
friends that, that do the voice
and there's, there's nothingwrong with the voice.
I just like, um, it's like somuch harder for me to like talk
from her perspective, you know?
Yeah.
Especially because I think likeif I were to make her voice, it
would be a little disrespectful.
Like she's like, she doesn'tlike sassy.
Yeah.
She'd be like sassy and stufflike that.
So I'll just keep it to myvoice.
(08:10):
Like it's, that's cool.
It's more like genuine that way.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Her voice would be a little Rrated, like, you know,
SPEAKER_02 (08:16):
it'd be
SPEAKER_01 (08:16):
a little meaner.
Yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (08:18):
Um, cool.
So mentioning that, you know, you had her since she was a
puppy, um, How
SPEAKER_01 (08:22):
was potty training?
Potty training was like, it wasa nightmare only because she
didn't listen like to anything.
So it was really hard.
Like initially we had her at mygirlfriend's parents' house and
she got accustomed to likeputting her paws on sand and
using the restroom.
(08:43):
And I didn't even know it was atexture thing, right?
So then we moved into theapartment we live in now.
And Aubrey, come here.
She's all right.
She's all right.
But she got accustomed to sand.
So then we moved into ourapartment now and we had these
like, it wasn't fresh patchinitially.
(09:03):
It was like this like turf stylematerial.
And those things are so nasty.
And I'm not just saying thatbecause we're on the fresh patch
podcast.
They're so gross.
Do never invest in a turf stylepotty thing because they're good
for like a month.
And then like the residue oflike pee and everything, unless
(09:24):
you're washing it like everythree days or something, like it
just starts to have thishorrible smell.
I think I even got like acomplaint from my upstairs
neighbor where like, it justsmells so bad.
Like they must be, I had toliterally go and like wash the
thing.
But when you live in anapartment building that is like
above the first floor, you don'tget like a hose or anything.
So I had to just pour water onit, pour water.
(09:45):
And then at one point we keptgetting complaints.
So we had to, I had to take itinto the shower.
And then at that point I waslike, That's disgusting.
I'm getting fresh patch.
Like I'm not.
SPEAKER_02 (09:52):
Yeah.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
So I've used like the turfbefore too.
One thing about it is like, yeah, like you wash it, it helps
a little bit, but then it's one,it still smells.
And then two, you get kind oflike that mildewy kind of smell.
Yeah.
It's like, and then, yeah, itwas so gross.
The water just gets trapped init and then you're just, you're
(10:13):
screwed.
Like I've, I've dealt with ittoo.
And yeah, it just, I, I scrubbedmine.
Like I got, I think it was likesimple green turf cleaner, a
brush, like a hard bristlebrush.
And I, I, took like three hourson it like just to really try
and then let it out to dry andit just didn't dry fully you
know
SPEAKER_01 (10:30):
so yeah yeah i mean
i would say it works if you can
hose it every single day andclean it once a week with like
soap yeah you know that's theonly time it works i think
oakley's in love
SPEAKER_02 (10:44):
yeah hey not on
camera i love it fresh patch
podcast we're matchmakers we'rebringing the pups together so
you know like oakley Oh, lookit.
She tossed you a ball.
She tossed you a ball.
Oh, please.
We've got to distract him withour chicken trainer treats.
(11:06):
Yeah, the chicken trainers.
Your dog's a barker.
It works great.
So, you know,
SPEAKER_01 (11:11):
would suggest that
to anybody.
Aubrey's had hundreds of bags ofthem.
We always say they're dogtested.
Dog
SPEAKER_02 (11:17):
tested, dog
approved.
Oh,
SPEAKER_01 (11:22):
yeah.
Look at that.
SPEAKER_02 (11:24):
Get their attention.
All of a sudden, he'swell-behaved.
All of a sudden, he'swell-behaved.
Yeah.
Good boy.
Good boy.
All right.
I'm going to give
SPEAKER_01 (11:34):
one to your dad.
Come up here.
There you go.
Oh, there we go.
Get her a beautiful face andframe.
I always
SPEAKER_02 (11:37):
forget I can
disconnect this mic, so.
Yeah.
I can just cop it out, but.
Keep that in mind.
Yeah.
However.
Okay, guys.
That was it.
For now, behave.
Thank you.
We're trying to record.
See, look at these.
I mean, check it out,freshpatch.com.
Find it by themselves or on ourstarter set, obviously.
(11:59):
Oh, yeah.
Dog tested, dog approved.
They might even start barkingagain because...
So, sorry, listeners.
If you're headphone users, bewarned.
You can expect some barks on ourpodcast.
Yeah, I think that would only befair.
Exactly.
Cool.
All right.
Well, moving on.
Thanks for all that insight andstuff.
(12:19):
And going back to...
I was going to say, mentionbefore, but you're saying...
Aubrey was a big biter andstuff.
And I've noticed that Goldens, when they're puppies, have way
sharper teeth than most dogs.
We went and did a photo shoot ofanother partner, a Golden puppy,
and oh my gosh.
I was like, oh, it's so fun andstuff.
And then all of a sudden myfinger's in the mouth.
(12:42):
And I was like, whoa, this issharp.
I don't know.
I feel like other puppies just,it's a Golden thing.
SPEAKER_01 (12:48):
Yeah.
I actually got her to stopbiting me.
because she would bite me.
And then I saw on TikTok,someone say like, if your dog
bites you, just scream as loudas you can.
It'll scare them so bad.
They won't do it.
No, I really did.
And she, and she, she, I have avideo of it.
I'll send it to you guys if Icould find it.
Um, she like, she's biting me.
And then I just like scream asloud as I can.
And she just kind of like makesa face.
(13:08):
And I swear, like from that dayon, it was like, she never bit
me as hard as she did then.
Like I can, if I really likeplay with her rough, she'll bite
me hard, but like, um, she won'tever do it intentionally or just
to play.
She won't ever bite me.
hard so
SPEAKER_02 (13:22):
no dogs are really
good at like reading emotions
yeah you know so like If theysee, like, oh, this is causing
you pain, like, you know, thatdoes something to them.
Yeah, yeah.
That's a great tip.
You know what's so unfortunate,I feel like, is, like, when
puppies are...
You know, puppies, like, just ingeneral, like, when they're most
cute and you just want to cuddlethem and play with them all the
(13:43):
time, they're also the mostferocious.
SPEAKER_01 (13:45):
You know what I
mean?
Yeah, like, they have noboundaries.
They don't care.
They don't know what's...
Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (13:49):
I got a senior pup,
and he's the most well-behaved,
cuddly dog and listens to us.
But, man, when he was...
When he was young, he was ahandful.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Seriously.
Sweet.
All right.
Yeah.
Moving on.
I think we kind of covered thisalready, but we can go over it
again.
But what was the turning pointfor you and Padre's page?
(14:11):
Like when was– I think you kindof mentioned, but when you were
really like, I'm going to put–lot more time into this and was
there just like a certainpartnership that got you to be
like wow this is this is worthit or just you're having fun
with it and like i'm just gonnayou know yeah
SPEAKER_01 (14:26):
i i think after the
first viral video of like this
like beasting and i was like ohwell i kind of get what the
formula is you know it makeslike sense and i think i could
post more videos and i was justposted more and more and got
traction um and then like then Iwas like oh wow I'm like this
going viral is like so fun youknow you get like you reach like
(14:46):
millions of people so I juststarted posting more and then I
think um I want to say it wasthe farmer's dog that reached
out to us and I was like oh sickand then I think if it was
either the farmer's dog or somea jewelry company but then I
think you guys were like thirdlike someone from fresh patch
reached out and I was like ohthis is so perfect because I
already love fresh patch likethis is like this is awesome um
(15:11):
And then...
Yeah.
Okay.
I figured that was coming.
Yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (15:16):
Yeah.
Some entertainment, some oncamera.
SPEAKER_01 (15:19):
Yeah.
Aubrey.
She approves
SPEAKER_02 (15:21):
of the couch.
SPEAKER_01 (15:22):
She will sometimes
like just take this like
position before, like, cause shewants, this is like she, how she
wants the butt scratches.
So just like do that.
And then like, she'll look atme.
SPEAKER_02 (15:31):
The exaggerative
like dig of the head into the.
Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (15:35):
Yeah.
So cute.
SPEAKER_02 (15:37):
Does she like
burrow?
Like, will she like put her nosein your armpit and stuff
SPEAKER_01 (15:40):
like that?
Like she just likes to burrowand to think.
that like she can spread herlike fur on so like mostly couch
in bed or whatever she's goingin
SPEAKER_02 (15:51):
well we're glad
you're comfortable Aubrey you
know we just found a new form ofenrichment yes the fresh patch
potty talk couch yeah availablesoon oh man all right cool well
no thanks for all the insightit's really great to hear and
you know for viewers people likeme that you know want to start
(16:13):
creating a page for their dogand stuff um yeah inside and
exactly how fun and kind of easyit is once you just start
getting that content togetherand stuff okay time to bring out
the chicken
SPEAKER_01 (16:29):
trainers
SPEAKER_02 (16:30):
time to bring them
back out get them on par
SPEAKER_01 (16:33):
harvey said chicken
you said chicken someone say
chicken
SPEAKER_02 (16:36):
again
SPEAKER_01 (16:37):
good boy
SPEAKER_02 (16:41):
Cool.
So another thing that we wantedto ask about, and I'm sure like,
um, you know, some of yourlongtime viewers are curious
about as well, but like, what's,what's Aubrey like at home?
Does she have that same sort oflike sassy personality and like
all that kind of stuff?
SPEAKER_01 (16:55):
Yeah.
Yeah.
Like she's definitely like, uh,like most, I think most goldens
listen well.
She doesn't, she doesn't, Idon't think I trained her enough
to listen, like to like eachcommand unless she has
something.
So she's very like, I'm notdoing something unless I get
something out of it.
Like, you know, like, and it'slike the worst because, uh, you
know, people will be over andshe'll, she's more excited to
(17:16):
play with people than she is tolike, just get a treat or ball.
So when people come over, it'slike, she's not even like, she
never listens to me.
You know what I mean?
Um, yeah, but she's also reallyweird.
And, and I think that comes outin a lot of the videos.
Like she does like weird stufflike, like that or, you know,
um, she's got the, the, to dancein between the legs.
(17:38):
Yeah.
She loves that.
That's like, that's, that's a,that's one of them for sure.
Um, yeah, but she also likesteals our clothes and I, and
we've, we've, I swear we had ayear where she didn't do this,
but she like, she steals ourclothes out of the basket and,
um, she just like goes somewhereand then she just like looks at
(18:00):
us with like the clothes in hermouth.
UNKNOWN (18:02):
Um,
SPEAKER_01 (18:02):
And she doesn't rip
the clothes or anything.
She just wants us to chase her.
And then like, I think we justmaybe too many times we chased
her and it just stuck.
And that's a routine now.
She's like, I don't know
SPEAKER_02 (18:12):
what to do to get
them to chase
SPEAKER_01 (18:13):
me.
Like if we're, if I'm in thebath or something or in the
shower and then like she comesin, she'll just grab like my
socks and just, she'll justleave.
And then as soon as I get out ofthe shower, she'll still have
them in her mouth.
Just waiting.
Like, you know, it's
SPEAKER_02 (18:26):
playtime.
Yeah.
I know you want, I know you wantthis back.
So like you're going to have toYeah, exactly.
Oh, that's funny.
Well, yeah, and then does shestill have, I know some of your
videos, she has some balconyboyfriends.
SPEAKER_01 (18:42):
Oh, yeah, yeah.
No, she gets around, you know,in my neighborhood.
Well, it started off as, I thinkthe first dog that it started
off with was my neighbor'sgolden retriever.
And he's like right below us.
And luckily they're still thereafter like all these years.
But she would just stare at himplaying and, you know, she would
(19:05):
start getting like the tappytoes where she really wanted to
go see him.
Happy feet.
Yeah, the happy feet.
And then we eventually met and,you know, we posted all this
stuff on TikTok and it wentviral because there are two
golden retrievers like, youknow, meeting.
And the other golden retrieverloves her.
But she, I think, has found moreboyfriends since then.
(19:27):
She doesn't give them the timeof day anymore.
She's a ladies' man.
Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (19:31):
Don't tell Oakley.
Don't tell Oakley.
Cover
SPEAKER_01 (19:34):
your ears.
Cover your ears.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, but no, we have other dogsthat they just kind of watch
each other.
But occasionally she'll bark atthem, and then I come out there,
and then she's just staring atthem like, hey, we got to set
something up.
Yeah.
You know, of course, like weinvited them over and then I
filmed that.
And then we had like it all kindof came together as this like
(19:56):
doggy block party.
And eventually I just likeinvited people from TikTok and
Instagram.
And out of that whole likesituation, I set up this like
RSVP list and we had like overlike 2000 RSVPs.
I don't know how many peopleactually came.
That's crazy.
but there was a lot like youguys were there.
Yeah.
Yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (20:16):
Yeah.
No, I'm pretty sure close to2000.
Yeah.
It was, it didn't stop theentire day.
Usually events that you'll,you'll see it die down, you
know, hour and a half, maybetoward, you know, last hour and
a half.
But it was like, there was aline at that photo booth.
It's like, till the end like the361 so yeah that's crazy Aubrey
(20:36):
Aubrey's famous she is what canyou say she is indeed yeah that
face look at that she is staringat me so hard she's got that bag
of treats you give me one sothat means there's more don't
worry plenty more to come plentymore to come you will be paid
you will be paid for being heretoday
SPEAKER_01 (20:53):
yeah like I got I
got some comments like you know
I got a ton of great commentsand people and then other people
were like yeah you know it was Iexpected it to be bigger or
expected to be like, have morethings to do.
And I was like, this is likeliterally my apartment building.
This is literally where I live.
I like all these people.
This is my first time ever doingthis.
Like, uh, I was like, I am notlike, um, I'm not throwing like
(21:16):
a, uh, you know like a carnivalor anything like you know
SPEAKER_02 (21:19):
it's more of a meet
SPEAKER_01 (21:20):
up yeah this is like
a this is like a cold meet up
but no like it was it was reallycool and then everyone loved it
I still have people come to mydog parties that came to that
one nice you know once in awhile like I'll be out and then
they're like wait did you throwlike a dog party in like Orange
County or whatever and thenthey'll like they'll stop me and
we'll talk about it but yeah
SPEAKER_02 (21:40):
man that's super
cool
SPEAKER_01 (21:41):
yeah yeah
SPEAKER_02 (21:42):
she's on her way to
being like Brody the dog you
know take her to baseball gamesand all that get in the crowds
around exactly cool well i knowwe kind of touched on this too
when you were talking about herpotty training um process and
stuff but would you recommendfresh patch to pet owners um oh
SPEAKER_01 (22:02):
no like no way
SPEAKER_02 (22:05):
yeah
SPEAKER_01 (22:05):
of course like fresh
patch is like it's I would even
say, I would, I would always sayif you live in an apartment,
like you need fresh patch, ifyou have a dog, but I think even
if you live in a house, because,um, like we have a dog, we have
like a dog potty area, but, um,where like, there's just grass
there.
the grass dies immediately fromall the dogs so i think it's
(22:27):
even good if you don't want apiece of your grass to die like
it's like totally you know likeif you think about it you don't
really lose anything like youthe fresh patch gets switched
every like two weeks or like amonth or whatever i would i
would always recommend freshpatch especially if you live in
an apartment
SPEAKER_02 (22:42):
yeah yeah yeah for
sure yeah i tell that to people
all the time even if you youknow you're just killing your
grass like just get a fresh likewe just we deliver real grass to
your door so just like make iteasier on yourself save your
actual lawn or if you're in anapartment you Don't go to the
turf or pee pads where you'reeither cleaning it every hour or
daily.
It just doesn't make sense.
SPEAKER_01 (23:01):
And imagine like...
having to hold like your peewhen you have to go, like, you
know, as a, as a human and youcan only wait every other hour,
like, or every couple hours.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It doesn't make sense.
It doesn't give them the
SPEAKER_02 (23:15):
freedom, you know,
you have the patch right there.
It's their bathroom, just likewe have free will to go to the
bathroom.
And it also helps with healthtoo.
You don't want them to beholding their pee and, you know,
that'll create kidney problemsand stuff.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So it's there to really, evenif, you know, you don't need it,
like there's still benefits toit, whether it's health or, you
know.
Yeah.
Giving them the free will to gopotty.
I mean, we always say like, fromwhat we've seen of videos that
(23:39):
were tagged in and stuff likethat, the dog owners who get
Fresh Patch are the owners whogo above and beyond and are
there for their dogs no matterwhat.
That's super cool to see that.
It does suck to see comments andstuff.
We talked about that in our lastepisode of people just trying to
roast people who use FreshPatch.
You don't even know the truestory.
You're just judging a book byits cover.
(24:00):
Dogs are actually treated sowell.
We're looking out for our dogs.
We're not here to be lazy.
It's just trying to give them abetter situation you know and um
SPEAKER_01 (24:09):
yeah
SPEAKER_02 (24:10):
you know
SPEAKER_01 (24:10):
potty freely like
like one of my videos i i had in
fresh patch was in it was on mybalcony it was like another
corgi watching or my dogwatching another corgi um i had
like a just a small fresh patchsquare i think i had just done a
videos with you guys uh and itgot over like 30 million views
and the top comment was likemassive lawn Like, oh, you have
(24:34):
a huge lawn.
I was like, dude, that wouldmake me laugh for so long.
But I was like, dude, I walk mydog, obviously.
And then, of course, I alwaysget comments or messages like,
if you loved your dog, you wouldbuy a house.
Well, I'm like, dude, I live inSouthern California.
I can't afford a house.
I promise you I would.
Good luck.
(24:54):
And
SPEAKER_02 (24:55):
then that goes back
to, if I had a house, I might
still get fresh patched.
Exactly.
I don't want to mow my lawn withpea stains.
Keep that pretty.
Make a nice designated area forit.
them to where they know where togo.
You're keeping everything nice.
So yeah, no, for sure.
The comments get roughsometimes.
with Fresh Patch, and it's just, yeah.
It's funny sometimes, but it'salso annoying.
(25:15):
Oh, man.
One of the funniest ones that Isaw was, like, we got tagged in
a TikTok, and it was a gamer.
It was a guy who didn't evenhave a dog, and he, like, pans
the video down, and it's, like, underneath his gaming setup is a
Fresh Patch, and it's like, yeah, someone told me to touch
grass, so I got a Fresh Patch.
It was awesome.
Yeah, exactly.
(25:35):
So for all you gamers out there, touch grass.
Touch grass.
We deliver fresh, real grass toyour door so you know if you're
up all night playing video gameswhy not get some grounding in
and absolutely you know whip thefeet out and you know
SPEAKER_01 (25:49):
was his bare feet
just on the grass bare feet on
the grass oh my
SPEAKER_02 (25:53):
god dogs out yeah I
was like respect to you brother
respect to you exactly so yeahthat one had a little viral that
one the comments were going offthere oh did it yeah that's
funny that was really cool tosee so yeah um yeah pass it over
to you definitely um You know, just wanted to touch on, you
were kind of like mentioning itearlier, but like what kind of
(26:15):
stuff is going on for you guys?
Any events coming up?
Any big plans or anything likethat?
SPEAKER_01 (26:19):
Yeah, yeah.
So this year I want to do morelike dog charity stuff.
So, you know, I've been to a fewevents and whatever, but yeah.
I'm going to, I just got invitedto do a dog charity, uh, in
downtown LA and we're going tobe supporting, it's going to be
like a puppy yoga thing.
So that's going to be reallycool.
Um, it sounds like you need somereal grass yoga mats.
(26:40):
Oh yeah, no, yeah,
SPEAKER_02 (26:41):
grounding yoga
puppies.
SPEAKER_01 (26:43):
Yeah.
We're still figuring out likewhat the amount of people is.
Cause I, I did, I think I threwa dog party there and there
might've been too many people.
Like I let too many people passthe guest list.
Like, you know, the day of a lotof people were like, Oh, Hey, I
didn't RSVP.
Can I still come?
And then I was like, dude, forsure.
I don't, yeah, hell yeah.
You can cut it.
Cause if I was, that was me, I'ma very last minute guy.
(27:03):
So like, I probably would havelike RSVP later, whatever.
So I was like, don't worry aboutit.
Put yourself
SPEAKER_02 (27:07):
in their shoes.
SPEAKER_01 (27:08):
Yeah.
Even though I did close theguest list, I still let a lot of
people in.
And I think like, That kindof...
The building wasn't mad oranything, but they were like,
yeah, there's a lot of dogshere.
Like, I don't know.
We don't, you know.
Because at some point, it's likean insurance thing or whatever.
Was that...
SPEAKER_02 (27:23):
Were we there?
No, I don't know if we were
SPEAKER_01 (27:24):
there.
Yeah, I think you guys mighthave been there.
Yeah, yeah.
Are your followers, like, prettyinteractive with you, would you
say?
Like...
It depends on what I post.
But, yeah, for the most part, like, I probably get messages
every day.
Like, you know, just like...
SPEAKER_02 (27:38):
Yeah.
Yeah.
What's your next event?
SPEAKER_01 (27:43):
I think it's, I
think it's funny when like
brands will email, but they'lllike treat, treat it like if
they're emailing her.
And I know this is like a dog.
I know this is like a doginfluencer thing or dog creator
thing is like, I know somepeople respond as their dog.
I couldn't go through a wholechain of like, oh, hey, thanks
for this.
(28:04):
We get some of the funniest
SPEAKER_02 (28:05):
emails.
It's so funny that you mentionedthat because what I do is
partnership management.
I work directly with a lot ofdog influencers and creators and
stuff and It's a funnyworkaround because when we're
sending them packages, we wantto get their first name, but we
could tell that maybe they're alittle private about it or maybe
(28:28):
they enjoy being the personalityof the dog.
So it's like, oh, how do I askfor their name without rubbing
them the wrong way or whatever?
So that's a really funny thingthat I've noticed as well.
SPEAKER_01 (28:41):
Yeah, like, hey,
Oakley, can your dad come to the
computer?
UNKNOWN (28:46):
Exactly.
SPEAKER_02 (28:47):
I'm going to steal
that.
I'm going to steal that.
Oh, man.
That's super funny.
A lot of customers for FreshPatch 2 will put, like when I
was working in the warehouse, itwould just be their dog's name
being delivered and stuff.
And we were always so cutebecause there's just some random
ones where they're like, there'sno way this is a human name.
And you kind of like say, oh,it's dog like yeah you know but
(29:08):
last name and everything so itlike tricks you for a second but
SPEAKER_01 (29:11):
yeah yeah i get i
get pobre pr packages all day
every single day i get one andit's just like says pobre i'm
like oh cool i don't care likethat doesn't bother me like at
all uh you know unless itdoesn't get to me i feel
SPEAKER_02 (29:24):
like the dog is
aubrey right yeah you're johnny
but like together you're Yeah, wrapping it up here.
We're going to ask this questionto all our guests, but what is
your best memory with Aubrey?
SPEAKER_01 (29:45):
I mean, I have a lot
of great memories with Aubrey,
but I would probably say thefirst dog party that we had
because I was so worried the daybefore.
I posted about the...
a few days before I had postedabout the party and then it went
(30:06):
viral.
And even though people likeRSVP'd, I was so worried that
like no one was going to come.
And then it was just going to belike, you know, a bunch of
vendors and it was going to belike a few people.
And then it was just like, Iwalked down there with her and I
could just see like a ton ofpeople with their dogs.
There's a lot of goldenretrievers too.
And I was like, like is thatmaybe it's like someone might be
(30:26):
having like a birthday partybecause in my apartment building
they would have it by like thechairs but they were all like
lining up to come into the dogparty it was like such a cool
such a cool experience becauseyou know you can get like a
million views but it doesn'tfeel like a million people are
watching anything, but when yousee people in person and you get
to like talk to them and youguys both have the same, um,
(30:49):
like love for dogs, it reallyfeels great.
SPEAKER_02 (30:52):
Yeah.
Puts it in perspective a littlebit.
I always, I always tell peoplethat like, it's like, yeah, you
get a million, like you justsaid, a million views.
And it's like, imagine likestanding in a stadium of like a
million seats, you know what Imean?
Like just standing in the middleand it's like, putting it in a
physical aspect, it's, it's somind blowing to me.
It's like, yeah, you don'treally bat an eye at it when you
get it digitally, but if youwere actually to put yourself,
(31:12):
so yeah, in your situation, seeing actually 2000 people show
out for your dog, for their dog, like, yeah, cool, cool feeling.
I bet.
It's one of the most likerewarding things about working
here.
Like it's something that I cantruly get behind because like,
who doesn't love dogs?
You know, dogs are like theultimate connector of people.
And so man's best friend.
(31:32):
Absolutely.
SPEAKER_01 (31:33):
I mean, if you, if
you don't like dogs, I probably
don't like, you know, probablynot a big fan of you.
So we won't be friends.
Yeah.
Um, yeah, no, but that, that wasdefinitely, I've had just, just
meeting people that also lovedogs or yeah, that's, that's
probably it.
SPEAKER_02 (31:50):
Yeah.
