NOTE: Dr. Chismoore is currently away. He has left really important thinkers, and comedians, TOM FELL and GRIFFIN WENZLER in charge.* Each week Dr. Chris Chismoore takes on the impossible task of discussing neuroscience, biohacking, men’s health, and men’s culture. Dr. Chris Chismoore is a heterodox neuroscientist, polarizing archeologist, persistent entrepreneur, and tenured professor in the Department of Research at a really good college. He’s been profiled in Scientific American, Harper’s Weekly, and TigerTeen Beat. His work has been published in the Journal of Thought, the New England Papers, and Wine Yum Today. His studies on biohacking the men’s genome have been revolutionary to regular guys everywhere. On Goobertime, Dr. Chris deconstructs winning strategies and world-class performers in eclectic areas (medicine, business, chess) digging deep to find tools, tactics, and tricks listeners can consider to optimize and integrate into efficient routine strategies for routine success and full potential living. Welcome to the Journey. Welcome to the Awakening. You are loved. No one thinks like you. -Dr. Chris Chismoore
Once agin Dr. Chismoore is unable to host the podcast this week. Magic. Some say it is all around us. Others say it is for virgins and people desperate to start a polycule with the other people in their ska band. Only Tom and Griffin are able to suss out the truth in this epic hour+ long conversation. Unearth the mysteries of the magician.
Outfits, fits, fashion, what you wear. These are the many things we call "clothes". They are with us almost every day, and yet we never stop to talk about them. Almost no one talks about clothes. But today two brave men decided to talk about clothes and how men wear them. Join us, won't you please, on a journey to the center of the clothes.
For this one we talked about Relationships. How to get them, how to have them, how to keep them. Basically if you are a lonely guy this is the episode for you. I think there's something in here for women too I hope. Idk really though because I don't remember what we talked about.
The fellows discuss methods and strategies for becoming near lifeless at night. Or are you? There is simply so much happening when we are unconscious that we don't even know about good yet. Sound off in the reviews if you like sleep or whatever.
Here is the one where we finally do a bizarre blend of comedy and sincere self-reflection. That has never been done before on the podcast, so we are finally doing it.
Look. I know the audio is bad most of the time. We're gonna fix that in a few months probably. I don't know how it keeps being all screwed up. Chris is so disappointed with us.
Here is the one where we talk about how to optimize your body. How to achieve truly superhuman strength...and we mean that mentally but also emotionally and spiritually. We also have some good ideas for merchandise.
(This episode art is a picture of Griffin's grandfather when he was a body builder while he was enlisted in the Air Force during WW2.)
You are a genius of science and mathematics. Thank you, citizen soldier, for enlisting...
Animals. They're all around us, but what do we really even use them for? Well dear listener, in this episode we dive in and see how far we can optimize animals. And yeah, again, it gets weirdly sentimental. And yeah, Griff forgets what he's talking about maybe 9 times but I think that got edited out.
Our first video episode. You can watch it at https://www.youtube.com/@GooberTimePod Wow. We're really here. I can't even. That said, I'm sorry for the audio. Tom is just so loud sometimes. You might say volume is one of his vices...
Enjoy, citizen soldier. Welcome to the Journey. Welcome to the Awakening. You are loved. No one thinks like you.
Here's the one our dads have been leaving us voicemails about: Classic Rock. There will never be another Hendrix, bro, seriously. Joplin? Goated. Morrison? All hail the Lizard King. The Stones? Now I'm gettin' Satisfaction. Will we mention your favorite rock and rollers or will we just piss you the hell off because we didn't dig deep enough on "Shine on You Crazy Diamond"?
Turn on, tune in, and drop out with this psychedelic ep of G...
This one Tom tries to drag Griffin down with him. Down into the depths of his disgusting disease - alcohol. That's probably what we talk about in this one I think probably.
So in this one we pretty much talk about pets and what it is like to both dominate and nurture a living being. We hold an awesome responsibility as humans to shape the lesser beings around us.
How to use strangers, how to become strangers, how to enjoy strangers.
We're doing "scene painting" in this one. We did that for a little while but then Tom nixed that. I guess I did too. But I kinda liked it. Call me an improv nerd. If you like the scene painting about the stranger let us know in your 5 star review.
Ok for this one we actually went outside because we thought it would be fun. We hiked up with our audio gear and didn't care that lots of regular people saw us recording a podcast in the woods. We hope you go on a hike and listen to this loudly over a bluetooth speaker so everyone can hear it.
By the way this is Tom writing the episode description. The picture is of me and Griffin near Mt Dana right outside Yosemite National Park. I...
Tom and Griffin explore the idea of education. You will listen to this and think "wow, they're still figuring it out a bit, but this is fun. I like to get to know about their personal experiences in Americas wild and crazy education system. I am driving my car right now, or possibly doing chores around the house"
Or something like that.
Tell us about your education in an 5-star review, wherever you get your little podcasts.
In which the guys talk about jobs. Jobs we have had mostly I think. Yes. That must be what we talked about. I hope it is good to listen to this. - Griff
Please Christ just remember that we recorded these over a year ago by the time you are hearing them. Okay? We've grown. We've matured. We've got a new political hellscape we never thought would happen.
Remember. If you have a question or comment be sure to leave it as a 5-star review on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you are listening.
Tom and Griffin officially take over for Dr. Chismoore. This week they discuss how they are different people and not the same tall white guy.
