Neighbor Podcast, the place
where local businesses andneighbors come together.
Here's your host, Rachel Five.
SPEAKER_02 (00:14):
Welcome to the Good
Neighbor Podcast.
Now, are you looking for a newapproach to chiropractic care
utilizing energy matrix healing?
Well, this resource is closerthan you think.
Today I have the pleasure ofintroducing your good neighbor,
Dr.
Steven Flores, with energeticchiropractic.
Dr.
Steve, how's it going?
SPEAKER_00 (00:35):
I am good.
It's a nice day.
It's warm, it's sunny.
Hope you had a goodThanksgiving.
I'm doing fine.
How are you doing?
SPEAKER_02 (00:43):
I'm great.
I'm great.
Well, I gotta tell you, Dr.
Steve, we are really uh reallyinterested in learning about
your chiropractic practice.
So tell us all about energeticchiropractic.
SPEAKER_00 (00:52):
Well, it is
chiropractic, but it's from an
energetic perspective.
It also deals in belief systems.
So I like to say I deal with thestructure and energetics of your
body.
I guide people into deep healingby helping them reconnect to the
natural intelligence withintheir body, mind, and soul.
I work with your structure toalign your and balance the body
(01:13):
and then move on to theenergetics of your body, those
beliefs patterns whichenergetically are causing the
compensations leading toillness, pain, and suffering.
So I'm hitting you from thestructural angle of it, coming
in from the energetic side, trying to get at your beliefs,
because I have more of aphilosophy where we start with a
(01:35):
belief in our life.
You know, we gather it fromchildhood, we gather it from
situations we have, and we makethose beliefs our own.
And it's that belief that weprecipitate and project out as
an emotion, as a thought, andtherefore an action, we create
more of the reality we live in.
(01:55):
So if you can do the physicalfor the immediate and then get
the belief systems, you'recoming at it from two sides of
the uh game and getting a betterresult, a whole result.
SPEAKER_02 (02:06):
Wonderful.
How did you get into this kindof business?
SPEAKER_00 (02:10):
Well, it's a long
path.
I mean, I went to college and Iwasn't thrilled with the
curriculum.
So I stumbled along, got mybiodegree anyway, and went out
and started looking for meaning.
I didn't know at the time, Iwanted to know the meaning of
like what's the meaning of life.
But you know, my degree gave methe mechanics of things.
So it's a long process of goingthrough self-help books, looking
(02:32):
within, meditating, readingEastern philosophies and
esotericism, and you know, reading some of the quantum
mechanics to gradually puttogether a view of the world
that fits and answers thequestions you're looking for.
Along the way, I was introducedto chiropractic, and I found
some of their philosophy I coulduse and mold and meld into what
(02:56):
I'd come to learn and know fromall the things I'd studied.
And I could use it.
I'd always been able to feelenergy.
So I went off in that energeticpath mode, trying to get the
essence of chiropractic being anatural healthcare system and
trying to get some of theesoteric language that came
(03:16):
through all the things I hadread and meld them together into
something I can use to treat theperson.
SPEAKER_02 (03:24):
Wonderful.
Now, what do you think are maybesome myths uh or misconceptions
in your industry?
SPEAKER_00 (03:29):
Well, misconceptions
primarily are about
chiropractic.
Um, that it's primarilyphysical.
It only works for the physical, which is that level of cracking
the body to achieve results.
Because you adjust somebody, youget a crack, usually you get a
nice little relief.
And how long does that last?
Um, but there's a deeper, subtleenergetic level that can be
(03:51):
addressed beyond the purelyphysical, and this will add
greatly to the overall health ofyour body.
Um, there's a level of intent inyour healing when you're
adjusting somebody, when you'reusing the intuition you get from
just looking at a person, seeingwhat doesn't look right or what
catches your attention.
(04:11):
You gotta take that look at it,see where it leads you, and see
if that is part of the issue, orthere's some underlying cause
beneath that that you have toaddress.
So it's not just purely aphysical thing.
There's some intuition, there'ssome energy, there is a physical
aspect to it, but uh, I think inmany instances you don't have to
(04:34):
be as harsh, shall we say, as alot of the adjustments are these
days.
SPEAKER_02 (04:40):
Got it.
Now we know marketing is reallythe heart of every business.
So how are you finding yourpatience?
SPEAKER_00 (04:46):
I can be tough.
You can get out there andexplain some of the stuff, and
in a sense, you have to be kindof mystical about it as to what
you're doing because you can'texactly tell somebody this is
what I do because I'll look atyou sideways.
It's more or less word of mouth, more or less maybe inviting
(05:07):
somebody in that has questions, giving them a sample, showing
them what can be done in adifferent mode.
You know, there is somemarketing as far as uh, you
know, social groups, Facebook,Instagram, and such.
But you can you yourself, if youread something like that, you'd
sit there and look at it.
You need to experience it more.
(05:28):
So it's more along those lines.
SPEAKER_02 (05:31):
Okay.
Now, have you ever thought aboutdoing your own podcast?
SPEAKER_00 (05:35):
I've had that
mentioned to me.
Um, I've molded over a bit.
Just you know, the only issue Ihave right now is like I'm doing
all these other things, likethat's just one more thing to
do.
So, how much stuff can I handle?
SPEAKER_02 (05:47):
Yeah, yeah.
Okay.
Now, um, outside of work, whatdo you like to do for fun?
SPEAKER_00 (05:53):
Well, I'm a wannabe
Formula One driver.
So, you know, give me the keysto a nice car where I can go
down the highway and have fundriving it through the hills and
uh curves and just enjoyingmyself.
I get a oneness with the machineat a point in time, and you just
fluidly blend and just enjoyyourself.
(06:14):
Uh, I had one person sittingacross from me in the car one
time and say, the wrinkles onyour face just meld away when
you're out driving.
So I enjoy driving, but I stillenjoy also reading a lot of the
books I used to read, or booksthat have information I think is
pertinent to let's say my lifepath of trying to find answers
(06:37):
and the life path of trying totake some of that answers and
information and use them to helptreat individuals.
SPEAKER_02 (06:44):
Wonderful.
SPEAKER_00 (06:45):
Go along those
lines.
SPEAKER_02 (06:46):
Yeah, okay.
Well, Dr.
Steve, you know, please tell ourlisteners one thing they should
remember about energeticchiropractic.
SPEAKER_00 (06:54):
One thing you're
gonna make it tough on me, huh?
One thing about energeticchiropractic, it can be a very
light touch, but it can havedeep lasting impacts.
Now, I will adjust you.
You know, if somebody comes inand they want a physical
adjustment, that I can do noproblem.
But there's a light touch youcan do, you're gonna enter
(07:16):
information of what the body'sdoing, how the body's
compensating for the stressesand strain it's under, inform
the body of that, then you canclear the energy pattern.
So it can be a very light touch.
Now I have some people who justlike are not gonna leave the
room unless I adjust their neckphysically because it really
releases something within them.
(07:37):
But as a whole, the body can bemanipulated in a way or let's
say adjusted and aligned in away, in a pattern, that clears
many more compensatorymechanisms and allows you an
overall good feeling, goodharmony, and health than than
(07:58):
you know, just plain regularphysicality.
It's a greater ball of wax.
SPEAKER_02 (08:05):
I got it.
Now, how can our listeners learnmore about energetic energetic
chiropractic?
SPEAKER_00 (08:11):
Well, they can call
me up and talk to me if they
want to, but you have mywebsite, it's was it dr www.dr
as and doctor Stephen with aphdc.com.
Uh, I have a few uh blogs onthere, and I I post stuff on
Facebook now and then onInstagram.
(08:32):
It's all out there in a way.
But yeah, I say if you have aspecific question, if you you
know really want moreinformation on this, you can
read about it to some extent, because there are things like
matrix energetics, which I'veused in my practice.
There's something like sacraloccipital technique, which I use
in my practice.
Those two harmonize the body ina more advanced way.
(08:52):
I've taken that, melded ittogether, and kind of ran with
my own information on it.
SPEAKER_02 (08:58):
Wonderful.
Well, Dr.
Steve, I really appreciate youbeing on the show, and I want to
wish you and your practice allthe very best moving forward.
SPEAKER_00 (09:07):
Well, I thank you.
It's been great being here.

Okay.
