Imagine chiropractic care that prioritizes stability over force and uses a 3D map of your neck to guide a gentle, precise correction. That’s the promise of the Blair Technique focusing on upper cervical care, and Dr. Elizabeth Hoefer (Hay-fer) of Well Connected Chiropractic walks us through how this approach helps patients get lasting results without the twist-pop-crack routine.

We dig into what makes Blair different: cone beam CT imaging to see the unique structure of your upper cervical spine, customized vectors for an adjustment that fits your anatomy, and a focus on helping the correction hold so your body can recalibrate. Dr. Hoefer (Hay-fer) shares how integrating upper cervical specificity with full spine support and nervous system–friendly modalities creates a pathway for real change—less guarding, better posture, clearer thinking, and fewer visits driven by flare-ups. If you’ve tried everything and still feel stuck, you’ll hear why precision often beats intensity when the goal is long-term function and relief.

You’ll also hear the human side of the work. From patient referrals that have powered the clinic’s growth to the rebranded Well Connected Podcast—formerly Get Your Head on Straight—Dr. Hoefer (Hay-fer) champions a broader view of alignment that includes physical, emotional, financial, and spiritual health. Her own love of travel and new experiences shows how better alignment can unlock a fuller life. Along the way, we debunk the myth that chiropractic care must mean endless weekly appointments and explain why stability is the new metric for success.

Curious if a no-pop, image-guided correction could help you hold an adjustment longer?

SPEAKER_00 (00:00):
This is the Good Neighbor Podcast, the place
where local businesses andneighbors come together.
Here's your host, Rachel Fife.

SPEAKER_02 (00:14):
Well, welcome to the Good Neighbor Podcast.
Now, if you are looking for achiropractor specializing in the
Blair chiropractic technique, well, this resource is really
closer than you think.
Today I have the pleasure ofintroducing your good neighbor,
Dr.
Elizabeth Hafer with WellConnected Chiropractic.

(00:34):
Dr.
Hafer, how is it going?

SPEAKER_01 (00:36):
It's going great.
I'm so excited to be on thepodcast today.

SPEAKER_02 (00:41):
Well, we are really excited to have you and excited
to learn about your chiropracticbusiness.
So tell us all about it.

SPEAKER_01 (00:48):
Well, we've been in Mission Viejo for uh six and a
half years, and we just did abig move to a new location this
year.
We've been in the new locationon Paula for about seven months
now, and we have expandedbeautifully to the new space.
What we do at Well Connected iswe do Blair Upper Cervical

(01:09):
Chiropractic Care with fullspine support, and we have uh
quite a few supportivemodalities that we offer to help
the nervous system regulate asefficiently and as effectively
as possible.

SPEAKER_02 (01:22):
Wow.
Well, how did you get into thisbusiness?

SPEAKER_01 (01:26):
When I was 27 years old, I was actually a student in
chiropractic school inDavenport, Iowa, where I grew
up, and I got a Blair correctionand it changed my life.
And I knew that I had to spendthe rest of my life doing Blair,
teaching Blair, and offeringBlair to as many people as
possible.
So when I moved to SouthernCalifornia 17 and a half years

(01:48):
ago, I was fortunate enough todo an internship with the Blair
Technique, and I've beenpracticing Blair my entire
career.
And why Blair is so importantand so specific is because we
don't twist, we don't crack, wedon't pop the neck, and we use
really um advanced imaging, acone beam CT, which is a
three-dimensional x-ray, to takepictures of the neck so we get

(02:10):
like a map of the neck, so weknow exactly what your structure
looks like, we know exactly howto correct it, and we do it
without aggressive um techniquesthat sometimes scare people.

SPEAKER_02 (02:23):
Wonderful.
Well, what do you think aremaybe some miss or
misconceptions in your industry?

SPEAKER_01 (02:29):
Uh, a lot of people have the misconception that um
once you see a chiropractor, youhave to go three times a week
for the rest of your life.
And it's funny because there istruth in having the benefit of
seeing a chiropractor becauseour nervous systems are
regulated when we get to see thechiropractor.
But the work that I do and thework that Blair offers is the

(02:50):
ability to get stable in yourneck and not have to be there as
often.
So we get to the root cause byfixing the neck issue, the rest
of the spine aligns itself tothat, and then you don't have to
be in the chiropractic officethree times a week for the rest
of your life because youactually hold the adjustment.

SPEAKER_02 (03:07):
Interesting.
Well, now we know marketing isreally the heart of every
business.
So, how are you marketing andgetting your patients?

SPEAKER_01 (03:16):
Well, for the history of Well Connected, it's
been word of mouth.
It's been truly just having mypatients get the results.
And a lot of people that I seeare people that have been
everywhere, tried everything, even seen other chiropractors,
and they just weren't gettinglasting results.
They end up getting a referralfrom a friend who's inevitably
found us, and they come in andthen they're so blown away by

(03:40):
the results because, forwhatever reason, this technique
and how I practice and the waythat I merge the world of full
spine care practical and blareupper cervical together is just
super effective.
And then they then return thefavor by sharing it with their
friends and family.
So it's been a beautiful thing.

SPEAKER_02 (03:58):
Wonderful.
Now, have you ever thought aboutdoing your own podcast by any
chance?

SPEAKER_01 (04:02):
Funny you ask.
I actually have my own podcast.
It's called the Well ConnectedPodcast.
We just rebranded it this year.
It used to be called Get YourHead on Straight.
And it's all about the idea ofbeing connected.
And uh, I interview my patients,I interview business people, I
interview people in otherindustries because it's so
important to live your life inalignment.

(04:24):
And we want to make sure youlive your life in alignment in
every way possible, whether it'sfinancial, you know, physical,
emotional, spiritual.
Uh, and so that's what mypodcast is all about.
So I get to have fun interviewsand talk to all kinds of fun
folks about the work thatthey've um gotten through while
connected and then theirexperience with Blair.

SPEAKER_02 (04:43):
Wonderful.
Now, outside of work, what whatdo you like to do for fun, Dr.
Heifer?

SPEAKER_01 (04:48):
Hey Fer.
Yeah, no, it's good.
Um, I always tell people you'resafe with Heifer.
That way, you even when you seeit, you know how to say it.
Um, I really enjoy traveling andI love spending time with my
family doing new adventures.
And one of the cool things thatI got to experience for the
first time the other day was aprofessional football game.
I had never been to SoFi Stadiumand I got to go watch the Rams

(05:10):
play.
So just having experiences withmy friends and my family, but
travel is a big, big way on thetop of my list.

SPEAKER_02 (05:17):
Wonderful.
Well, Dr.
Hafer, please tell our listenersone thing they should remember
about well-connectedchiropractic.

chiropractic is that we truly doget to the root cause.

ever.
And we don't twist, pop, orcrack the neck.
So when we do the correction, itholds and you get lasting
results.

SPEAKER_02 (05:43):
Wow, that's cool.

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
