Speaker 1 (00:04):
Welcome to
Holographic Health Insights, the
podcast where science meetssoul for complete well-being.
Join hosts Reverend Anne-MarieByers and her daughter Rachelle
Janaris as they exploretransformative health approaches
that integrate body, mind andspirit from energy medicine to
holistic practices.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
We all aim to eat
balanced meals, but let's face
it, life happens and sometimesour diets fall short.
That's where supplements stepin, bridging the gaps in
nutrition and giving your bodythe boost it needs to thrive.
But with so many options on theshelves, how do you know which
ones are worth it?
Let's uncover the truth aboutsupplements and why they could
(00:54):
be the missing link in yourwellness journey.
All right, welcome backeverybody.
Skip Monty here, co-host slashproducer, back in the studio
with Reverend Anne Marie Byersand Rochelle Gianaris.
Anne Marie and Rochelle, how'sit going?
Speaker 4 (01:10):
Wonderful Doing good.
How are you Skip?
Speaker 2 (01:14):
I'm doing just fine,
just watching it snow.
Speaker 4 (01:18):
Same here.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
I'm warming, warm and
cozy, so I'm good.
So, anne Marie and Rochelle, maybe, rochelle, we'll start
with you.
Why are supplements importantin your diet and general health?
Speaker 4 (01:33):
It's a great place to
start Skip.
So back in the 1950s, even asfar back as then, they were
doing studies on the soil thatshowed it was deficient in 15
essential vitamins and nutrients.
That showed it was deficient in15 essential vitamins and
nutrients.
So even back in the 50s, oursoil was not able to infuse the
nutrients that our bodies needinto the food that we were
(01:53):
getting.
So that's where supplements canbe really handy to fill those
gaps and to also let you finetune to what your body
specifically needs as far asvitamins and minerals go.
There's a lot of differentsupplement lines, and ours
happens to be a little bitdifferent in that we develop and
(02:14):
continue to update oursupplements based on what the
bodies of the current populationneed and require.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
Reverend Ann, you
have anything to add to that?
Speaker 3 (02:30):
Well, yes, and just
think if in the 1950s, which was
less than 70 years ago, we had50 nutrients that were deficient
, think of how many nutrientscould be deficient now with the
farming of the soilsindustrially all these years.
So the body is a collection ofcircuits.
(02:54):
If you relate to circuits inyour television, in your car, if
a component is out of tolerance, let's say you have a strand of
light bulbs and one of thelight bulbs goes out and it's
one of those old kind that youhad to have all the components
working to have a string oflights work.
Well, that's the way your bodycircuits are.
(03:15):
If you have a component out oftolerance, it either is not
going to work or it's not goingto work as well.
So all of our supplements areconsidered food.
They're food to keep thesecircuits working well and for
people who relate to that.
That's one way to think of it.
And women in particular alwayswant to look good, and so I've
(03:39):
had a lot of women who come tosee me because they want to look
good, and nutrition is the bestplace to start for looking good
.
Certain things like zinc andvitamin C are really good for
the skin, so those are alsoimportant for the immune system,
but they're important for theskin and to make you look good.
(04:02):
So, just in general, all of oursupplements are good
manufacturing practice,certified.
They're certified, they'recreated in the best labs,
they're synergistic and we add acomponent called biokinetic
energy.
There's an energetic componentto balance them, to make them
(04:24):
work even better in the body.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
What are the most
common deficiencies that
supplements can help address?
Speaker 3 (04:32):
Well, there are only
certain things we can talk about
that are actual deficiencies, and one is vitamin C.
Vitamin C is important not justfor the skin but the immune
system, and you may rememberhearing stories about sailors
who got scurvy because they didnot have vitamin C when they
(04:52):
were at sea and so that is avery common supplement that is
extremely important for the body.
Zinc is another one.
A lot of people are deficientin zinc.
There's not enough zinc in thesoil, and that affects the skin,
many processes in the body andthe immune system.
So those are two of the verymost common, another being
(05:16):
vitamin D.
People don't get out in the sunas much, and vitamin D is very
important for many processes inthe body and the immune system
in particular.
Speaker 4 (05:28):
So this time of year,
those are three things that
people really need to take andsupplement with are vitamin D,
zinc and vitamin C, and I thinkthis kind of goes to say that
you start with a goodmultivitamin to kind of hit a
(05:48):
little bit of everything andthen you can add in some of
those that we know to be extrabeneficial, especially
seasonally or at certain timesof the year, like Anne said.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
So, rochelle, how can
somebody determine the quality
and the safety of thesupplements that they choose?
Speaker 4 (06:09):
That's a really good
question.
So we have a muscle testingtechnique that we use in
holographic health to kind ofhelp determine dosage.
Is this the right thing forthis body?
And it's interesting we've hadclients as well as practitioners
that work with us who havecompared how our vitamin C,
(06:31):
called Complete C, compares toanother really good brand that
you can get at the store and itwas very interesting what they
found.
They found that for their bodyand some of their clients'
bodies that they only needed oneof our Complete C formulas
compared to four of the otherbrands.
(06:53):
So even on the label, the labelcan tell you how much is in the
supplement, but it doesn'talways tell you how well your
body will absorb what is in thesupplement.
So not not all supplements, even if they say 100 micrograms
of something that's not alwaysavailable for your body to
(07:16):
absorb.
So the neat thing aboutholographic health and how we
practice is that we can usemuscle testing to help determine
, you know, is this supplementthe right one for this body or
and the dosage and how does itcompare with this other one?
And you might get away withtaking one of ours and four of
(07:37):
another one or three or whatever, but it's also the availability
.
So it kind of comes down to alot of different factors and
they're going to be differentfor everybody.
So that's what's really neatabout holographic health is that
we can figure that out withmuscle testing and not just
guesswork can figure that outwith muscle testing and not just
(07:57):
guesswork.
Speaker 3 (08:02):
And let's start with
the basics of the fact that our
supplements are all created inFDA controlled facilities.
The FDA does not approveanything.
They control the food sourcesand so supplements are food.
They're considered food by theFDA and so they're created in
labs that are certified withgood manufacturing practices and
(08:23):
controlled by the FDA, so thatmakes them sure they're safe.
And we also make sure that goodingredients are used.
In fact they're all vegan orvegetarian ingredients with
veggie caps, so they're easilydigested and absorbed and
they're synergistic.
That means there are additionalcomponents added, like with our
(08:48):
Complete C.
We have quercetin included inthere and different forms of
vitamin C, so that they are alot better absorbed by the body
than just, let's say, a citricacid that just is a hard tablet
and has one form of vitamin C init.
(09:08):
So we use different forms sothe different bodies can
assimilate them better.
And then we add the quercetin, which makes it a more
synergistic form for the body asa whole.
So that makes our vitamin Cwork four times better than just
(09:29):
a standard vitamin C.
This actually was a really goodbrand.
We were quite surprised by theresults, and so we really stand
by what we create or what wespecify.
And, of course, the labs and theFDA ensure that what is on the
label is what is actually in theproduct.
(09:52):
That was not true in years past, but that is the basis of all of
our supplements.
They are created synergisticallyin good laboratories and
they're also created with goodenergy behind them and a lot of
love and research by our founderas well as, as we said,
(10:16):
ourselves, because bodies todayare different from bodies 50
years ago.
So that's the one thing that DrBroody, our founder, said you
have to move with what peopleneed today, and so supplements
that were really good 50 yearsago are not as good today.
Some of it is increases in theunderstanding by science and
(10:41):
also, as Rochelle pointed out,we use our form of muscles
testing to ensure what we aresuggesting that the client take
for themselves.
And remember we do notprescribe.
We make suggestions for theclient that this is what God and
their body are suggesting forthem to try, and then that helps
(11:06):
to fill in the gaps in what ismissing in the food.
We always say food is yourfirst medicine and you want to
have a good diet to start with, then utilize good
supplementation to fill in thosegaps, those components that are
(11:27):
missing or out of tolerance.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
Wow, man, that is a
lot to navigate.
I am so thankful that you guysare in business because you know
somebody like me.
I'd be lost without somedirection.
So let's say that I go withyour guys' professional
recommendations on supplementsand I start taking those.
Does that mean I can skip thebroccoli?
Speaker 4 (12:21):
Probably not said in
another episode.
Starting with the good, organicwhole foods is your foundation,
and then the supplements justkind of add those missing pieces
like we talked about, andremember that you are everything
you take in.
Speaker 3 (12:30):
so you want to take
in good food for the body, mind
and spirit, and so you know wefirmly believe in prayer and in.
You know God being in our livesand asking for help when we
need it.
So you want to take in goodfood for the body, mind and
spirit, and that means eatingorganic food.
(12:52):
Watching If you're going towatch television, make sure it's
something uplifting, notsomething that you're going to
have to then get out of yourbody.
So those are all very important.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
Absolutely.
I couldn't agree more, and thespiritual part of that is super
important to me, so I reallyappreciate what you guys are
doing.
I'm really excited to continueto learn more about holographic
health and what you guys can doto make us feel better.
I don't want to be a bag ofDoritos, so I'm going to keep
listening.
If you said you are what youeat, I don't want to be a bag of
(13:28):
Doritos.
Anyway, Reverend Ann andRochelle, I can't tell you how
much I appreciate you being hereon the show with us today and
we'll catch you in the nextepisode.
I hope you guys have a greatrest of the day.
