Speaker 1 (00:00):
What y'all slipping on? I think this year it's gonna
be about the running backs again. The NFL is all
about trends. What up those?
Speaker 2 (00:20):
And Welcome to the Hood Report, the spot where culture
meets competition and where we spit real shit. Sports is
our focus. The d culture. You two tweeting guys are
discussion and in the end of it all, our focus
is ensuring that you the audience is informed and entertained
(00:44):
with that.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
Today, as we've been.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
Going through it and hitting the NFL and giving our
preview to the NFL, we're gonna round it off today
with the NFC South in the AFC South. Now, these
two divisions don't get a lot of pub but I
think they got a little talent and a couple of
them had good drafts, so they're standing to be influential
in the upcoming season. With that, we're gonna start with
(01:08):
the NFC South. We're going forward to one on our picks.
We're going to call out who we haven't in each
place as we go through it, and we're gonna hit
the hot sheet as it comes, starting off with my
man tweety go ahead and running tweet, I'm.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
Actually run let's yea, I'll drink to that baby.
Speaker 4 (01:35):
Maybe you already asked America bang the desh y'all in
for a treat riders on early so you know after this,
I don't want to turn the mofuck off, but you
would have heard the best of what you gotta hear.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
Starting off.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
Fourth place in the division, I think the team that
has got had the most struggles, and I think they're
going to continue to struggle and continue.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
That have a hard time. They did okay in the draft.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
I think they blew it on their quarterback pick by
not taking Sder.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
I think they with that and just the fall off
and losing the starting quarterback.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
I got New Orleans Saints finishing in fourth place in
the division. I had them finishing actually four and thirteen
for the season. Four and thirteen, boy, I think they'll
get four rivalries they normally show up on. But I
think they're going to have their struggles.
Speaker 3 (02:34):
The car the Animal List.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
They lost Tweety's boy Derek Carr, his career favorite quarterback,
and they don't be shipping he was it either But
go ahead, next next up. I think this team has
made made huge strikes. Last season. There was a lot
of positives that they closed out the year, had a
(02:59):
hell of a job, did a hell of a job
in the draft. My number three team is going to
be the Carolina Panthers. I think Bryce Young, after the
negatives that came in his first season, I think Bryce
Young had a great finishing last season. They did a
great job of getting them some additional weapons. They got
Matt McMillan from Arizona, who's a stud wide receiver. Provided
(03:22):
he's working hard every day. I think they did a
great job there. When I look at them for the season,
their schedule schedule is not too bad. They got Houston
on schedule to start earlier in Week two, then they
got at home, they got pitchburd at home.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
They got Dallas at home. That's a loss.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
They got the Bills at at home. That's that's probably
a loss. That's not probably is a loss, and then
they go on the road a little bit. So all
and all, I had a terribly difficult schedule because outside
of the big benchmark games they have against big teams,
they have a pretty soft schedule. So I think they'll
be able to run the table and uh and be
in a position to be able to act build on
(04:01):
their successes from last year. I have the I have
Carolina actually finishing up with a record of nine and
eight for the season. I think they're going to be
and I think they're going to be much young. Bryce
Young played good at the last season. If you remember
they be tapping down at the end of the season,
(04:22):
they played very well. So I think they're going to
continue to improve. I think they got weapons, a little
weapons for him. I think they're going to have a
good season and being much better shape than what they
were going into it.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
Okay, and they.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
And they and they addressed their defense, so you know,
like the fact they got edge rushers. So I think
they're going to be a much approved team, going to
number three and the number two in the division. So
we did the first two, we did three. Neither one
of those women played for the record. Neither one of
those on my list those teams, right, we know that
(04:59):
although I do like Bryce Young, not not yet. Next team,
I think another team is going to be improved. They'll
get their benefit from more consistent quarterback play than what
they had last season. I think they're going to have
a situation where we already know they got a stud
running game. My number two team for the NFC South
(05:24):
is going to be the Atlanta Falcons. I think they're
going to be much improved, once again consistent. I think
Pennix is going to have a breakout season as he
only played a short pert of time last year. We
already know the running game is outstanding. We know they
got receivers right. Their big thing was defense was what
they needed to improve. They did this season through the
(05:46):
draft and through free agency. They did a little bit
through those angles to improve their team and to get
a little bit strong on those sides of the ball.
Drafts and a couple of safety linebackers. So I think
they're going to be improved on defense side. You would
think Roane Roheem Morris with a defensive coach too, so
he's leading the defense. So you would expect that they'll
(06:06):
come around this season and play much better. They need
to get pressure on the quarterback with their problem last year,
but I do think that they're going to be improved.
I think the dirty Bird is going to be back.
I think they're going to be ten and seven on
the season. I think they're going to be improved and
and uh and actually give a fight to the division.
But They're not going to surpass the team that I
(06:28):
think is going to be in a top spot. I
think I think Baker's made it, and I think the
top spots for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are going to
be number.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
One in the in the NFC South.
Speaker 2 (06:41):
I think Bakers has established himself as a as a
good quarterback, not great, but good. I think he's a
good quarterback. I think he's going to have another productive season. Obviously,
has a big bit of weapons. They reach, they have
Evans back, they're going to resign him. They resigned the
number the number two receiver in off season and they
(07:01):
did a pretty good job. They picked up a Mecca
from Ohio State stud wide receiver high as they put
out some quality receivers the last couple of years. They
picked him up, so I think that was a positive.
And they got that boy Tads Johnson from from Oregon.
So I think all in on. When you look at
them where they are gonna be from weapon perspective, I
think they improved upon that with Todd Bows.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
You know the defense is gonna be tight. So number
one division.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
I think they're gonna finish eleven and six for the
for the season. They had a tough schedule though, so,
but I think they're navigated.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
They'll they'll win a couple.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
Of these games like they did last year against some
of the top teams. Because last year, if you remember,
they beat both Philadelphia and Alliance. They beat both of them,
both of those teams last year, so they had some
big win. They're capable of it if they get rolling.
But I'm gonna finish up and say, NFC South Division
winner number one, the Tambay Buccaneers, Hey Beaker Mayfield is
going to continue what he did last year?
Speaker 1 (07:55):
Is that one of your teams? I gotta you gotta
mention that too. No, that's not Damn.
Speaker 3 (08:02):
Nobody in the South is your team?
Speaker 2 (08:04):
Okay, nobody in the South, in the n f C South,
none of them are made to cut.
Speaker 3 (08:12):
Damn what so made the cut? But I can start
to see through the season that can change. You're right, good?
Speaker 2 (08:19):
Yeah, to start anyway, one of them, one of these
motherfuckers start off hot, nigga, they could make it.
Speaker 3 (08:26):
Never never trust, never trust the chameleon.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
You will fo Hey, look, hey, at least at least
you know where I stand from the beginning dating tears
that all right?
Speaker 3 (08:37):
Next up, cute you up running?
Speaker 4 (08:40):
Alright, alright, alright, well, gentlemen, we know that the NFC
saw is a crappy ass division. Uh. Three teams have
finished under the under five hundred four times in the
last seven years, and I'm here to tell you, gentlemen,
this ship ain't about to change. Three of these motherfuckers
(09:03):
is gonna be under five hundred this year too. So
let's go ahead and start off with this list, so
you already know where I'm coming with will be going
with the first team on my list, the Ants, Yeah,
the Ants. They'll be going for the for the for
the super Bowl this year. You know what super Bowl
they'll be going for tweeting the Super Bowls of keeping
(09:24):
draft picks. They'll be going for the super Bowl of
draft picks this year. That's what the fuck The Aints
ain't gonna be doing with a record of two and
fucking fifteen.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
Ain't him?
Speaker 4 (09:34):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, these motherfuckers. You know, I have no
I have no love or no respect for him.
Speaker 3 (09:39):
You know why why?
Speaker 4 (09:41):
Because they knew Derek Carr was out and they kept
on just watching your dr samplers walk on, you know,
kept let him.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
Walk on by.
Speaker 4 (09:50):
Hey, So with that with that big pick. They're gonna
get a quarterback again next year. They better because they
picked up this this Tyler strauw he ain't worth he
ain't worth the price of admission? Have you already been
seeing him? And this guy Tyler will be matched up
every time he's it's gonna be Shader. So everything he
does from now in his career, any of these quarterbacks
(10:11):
in the draft will be matched up with Shad. He's
gonna make a lot of them look bad. He's gonna
make a lot of them bad. So that's the same.
That's changed to two and fifteen. Move moving right along.
We're gonna we're gonna go up to our uh you know, Ride,
I had to smile when you did this, But you
had the Carolina Panthers, and so do I. So do
I Carolina Panthers. The only difference is fucking eight wins?
Speaker 3 (10:33):
Are you kidding me? I got? These motherfuckers are foreign
four and thirteen four thirteen. Yeah, they did some good things.
They picked up some defense, they got they offense.
Speaker 4 (10:43):
They they picked up big Meland, like you said, they
picked up the runner back Trevor and lot and lot
it tay. You know they're gonna be a little better,
better team. You know, they picked up some defensive players
to help him out, But I can't see him one
of those.
Speaker 3 (10:57):
I don't put I don't put a bug in the year.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
Right on top five, ready, quarterback the last five games
last season.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
Okay, okay, okay, everybody thought he was a bus. That
boy is. That boy's gonna be for real.
Speaker 4 (11:09):
While I'm not saying that, I'm just saying they got
a tough schedule and you know they got I'm not saying.
I'm not saying you're saying he's a bus, but I'm
saying people out there before were saying he was a bust.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
I'm saying he's not.
Speaker 4 (11:18):
Okay, Yeah, so I got him at four and thirteen,
you know, saying spot and finishing, But you got him
a little higher than me for winning. But uh, we'll
move right along here to our third place team. Them
them dirty birds, them a lot of falcons. You know
what I'm saying. And I'm gonna tell you I got
him at seven and ten. They've done some good things,
(11:38):
yes they have. You know it's gonna be the first
year for Pennix Junior. Can he stay healthy? Guys, that's
gonna be a good question. So can he stay healthy?
Can he stay healthy?
Speaker 5 (11:48):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (11:49):
I think this team had the second worst passing pass
rush in the NFL last year. So what they were
doing to draft, they went loaded up. They picked up
Georgia Bulldog Javon Walker.
Speaker 6 (12:03):
They picked up Tennessee's defensive end, uh, James Pierce Junior,
and they helped him out of the offensive lying to
a little bit, you know, they picked up Jack Nelson
for the offensive line.
Speaker 4 (12:15):
So hey, hey tweeted, they got another one of your
boys from from the Raiders. Uh, divine diablo. You heard
of ipophone?
Speaker 3 (12:24):
Yeah, that's why he going, yeah, exactly, exactly, Hey.
Speaker 4 (12:28):
Tweety, tweety, that's fucking four rats line packers.
Speaker 3 (12:32):
Now that this gone, now somebody could with a ship
team cutching. Then that's that makes a statement.
Speaker 6 (12:40):
Yeah, I got I got them finishing up at seven
and ten.
Speaker 4 (12:46):
Moving around to our number one team, the only team
that's gonna come out of the divisions, and that's gonna
be them Buccaneers. You know, hey, Bacon, Bacon Mayfield. Finally
them found him a home. You know, uh, you know,
he hiding in uh Brady shadow. But even fire of
a home, you know, and Uh he was. He's real
happy with his new weapon. The uh, the double e
(13:08):
eazy Emika, the the why, the the running back picked.
Speaker 3 (13:14):
Wide receiver from from Ohio State.
Speaker 4 (13:16):
He's up from the airport, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (13:21):
So he was ecstatic.
Speaker 4 (13:22):
He's he's ecstatic about about having him uh on his team.
Speaker 3 (13:26):
On his team.
Speaker 4 (13:27):
They also addressed the defense. Picked up two cornerbacks, Benjamin
Morris and uh Jacob Parish, so that should helped h
a defense that was already pretty good, you know, they
just needed probably a little more help on the outside.
So they got the he they got what they needed.
I got this team at twelve and five. This twelve
and five for for them winning the division.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
Actually, I think the sleeper on that time big team
is Tess Teds is gonna motherfuckers don't know about him. Tess,
that boy and Orton with no joke. So it's gonna
be interesting to see, good, good, good picture.
Speaker 3 (14:01):
Corn.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
I don't think any like mine, no surprise, the same places,
different records. But what happens, So now we're trying to
I think twe do. I think you up next?
Speaker 3 (14:10):
Hey, yeah, we all got the same one rule we.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
Gonna institute no talking about the fucking Raiders when we
talked about the other other division.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
Ah, y'all we all got all. Y'all looked at ESBN
with this bullshit. Y'all a.
Speaker 5 (14:29):
List, it's all the same. Is gonna go got number
You gotta have the Saints in last place in this
division in the NFC South. You gotta have sing Oh yeah,
they got They got Tailer and the Spencer as a
quarterbacks in this division.
Speaker 3 (14:46):
What the yeah? Yeah yeah, Spencer Ratler ra Ralls, Arizona guy.
So I got root for him. I'm root for him. Ship.
Are you gonna do ship?
Speaker 5 (14:58):
But I do ship because he ain't do ship last
year when Derek Carr was out, No, he didn't, he did,
so you got that right. So I got him as
four and thirteen for for next season, four thirteen. They
they gotta win a couple of games, somebody gonna give
it up. And when he didn't win a couple of
games out there in New Orleans. So and then uh
(15:22):
at number three, same ship, same ship.
Speaker 3 (15:25):
I got the I got the Panthers. I got the Panthers.
Speaker 5 (15:29):
I got the Panthers. Bryce Young he he came on.
They put him on the bench. Last year, they put
it in that boy, the red rifle, Andy Dalton, Oh,
the red rifle. Yeah, the red rifle. And right Jong
only went in because Andy Dalton got hurt. He was a.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
Red red rifle already started his descent, his descent down
for two games.
Speaker 3 (15:56):
Yeah, you gotta get it as out of there.
Speaker 5 (15:58):
No, but that's the only reason Bryce Young was put
back in the game.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
He was.
Speaker 5 (16:03):
He was had a concussion and that's the rison he
came back. But Bryce his ass off the last game,
last couple of games. All right, he played his ass off.
He was both And we're going back to the Saint.
The Saints ain't got no prime prime time games next year.
Speaker 1 (16:18):
No, they shouldn't have.
Speaker 3 (16:22):
Do you want to see the motherfuckers on prime time? Kidding?
You shouldn't have the fact out there they got that
shifting pitches over the Europe for the season. That'd be
the game.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
That would be the game I skipped watch for the Sunday.
Speaker 3 (16:41):
Yeah, shut up shouting bad for all I care.
Speaker 5 (16:44):
Yeah, so I got I got the fatter sixth and eleven,
I got past eleven.
Speaker 3 (16:48):
Yeah, yeah, I got pasted six eleven. Now you got
the falcons six and eleven, Yes, six and eleven that
you think I think they are.
Speaker 5 (16:58):
You know, we'll see.
Speaker 3 (17:01):
But I got to foul this nine and eight.
Speaker 5 (17:03):
I got the foul nine and eight because they opened
the first for four to five games against the playoff teams.
Speaker 3 (17:10):
So they ain't gonna be as good as.
Speaker 5 (17:12):
We think they are gonna be.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
SOA be in the second spot. They be in sex spot.
Speaker 5 (17:20):
But on the first five games they played four games
for four teams that they went to the playoff flas.
Speaker 3 (17:26):
Giving them a winning record. Well, I am as Falco.
I'm giving the record. You look at it. They play
in the seven games. You throw Sam fran in there.
They play. They got tough serting schedule.
Speaker 5 (17:38):
They got they do Yeah, they did good. They got
a tough schedule. But I'm still getting the second place
at nine and eight.
Speaker 3 (17:47):
You know a lot.
Speaker 5 (17:49):
And then you know we all got the bucks as
number one in this division. You have to, you have to.
Speaker 1 (17:56):
But you fucked up. You said we y'all ain't okay,
you ain't. Yeah, I ain't went because with you.
Speaker 3 (18:06):
I ain't with you. Esbnat mother.
Speaker 5 (18:11):
At the bus was hot last year because that's one
six out of the last seven games.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
Baker Mayfie I talked about Hey, I talked about for
the last last week, so bad that he decided to
look at ESPN this WEEKND.
Speaker 1 (18:25):
God, I ain't got, I ain't gotta watched the game.
Speaker 3 (18:29):
So yeah, yeah, wait, I can't wait to get to this.
Speaker 5 (18:35):
And I got, and I got watched the game eleven
and six eleven eleven six.
Speaker 4 (18:40):
Nobody watching the game, sweety with them to nobody. We
just we just got the TV on. Hey, I don't
know what the you do.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
We're talking when we're talking basketball for yeah, I think
you had a TV on the background.
Speaker 3 (18:52):
Yeah, nobody watching it. Still.
Speaker 4 (18:55):
Somehow, somehow, when you look at the records of us
picking teams no better than you, we don't watch.
Speaker 2 (19:02):
Them marked on the second TV. These fuck get the
cartoons behind They watching the cartoons. Four games in front
of the sh alright, cut Martin.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
Okay, Now, one thing we do with grill bole and
one thing we do grill bon them got damn Saints.
They gonna Hey, they're gonna be bad. They're gonna be bad.
Their quarterback room is horrible. They could I mean their
quarterback room is horrible. So I mean it was bad
with Darren Carr. I mean now he's on my raller
and then you, I mean my rally. I'm tired of
(19:37):
slough in there. Yeah, they just gonna be bad. I
feel bad for players. I went they trade oh boy,
my boy running back and Camara and sit them George
get tender because that's fucked up, all that talent to
be with a bad team. So the Saints, I ain't
ways no time on the Saints. Saints, we will be
in fourth place, they will have a badass record. Theyre
(19:58):
gonna be horrible at number three. It's time. It's time
for the Bucks to take a step back. It's time.
It's time. It's time for Bigger Mayfield to take a
step back. He done had a couple of good years.
He had a couple of good years. I would agree,
(20:19):
but it's time because Bigger Mayfield, to me, he's good.
But it's taving him taking a step back. And I
think this year, I mean this year, they're gonna take
a step back. I think they're gonna take a step back.
Speaker 4 (20:34):
I put that ain't a step back, Mark, that's a
fucking plane crash.
Speaker 3 (20:39):
Well, hey, call it what you want to call him. Motherfucker.
That's that's where I got him at.
Speaker 1 (20:43):
I got him a number three playing crash or whatever
it's Taba Baker Mayfield to come of reality. And yes,
and they picked up a lot of good offense. They
didn't pick up Bigmilling everybody else good offense now, but
the defense hasn't been good. But I could deept get
and alder this and that they ain't get too much.
You're gonna or des have the ball. I think it's
(21:05):
gonna be tiving was taking step back.
Speaker 3 (21:07):
Yep. I got them at number.
Speaker 1 (21:08):
Three, yepratch. But you know what, all this hit is scratched.
I mean, like I said, I just didn't watch. I mean,
look at ESVN get my predictions at number two. At
number two, I'm beating Carolina because one thing I saw
from Carolina late in the season, the one thing with
old boy when he had his confidence, Carolina was looking
(21:30):
good as hell, and they gonna bring that into this
season coming coming forward. I think Bryce Jong this year
is really gonna step up. And I think he he
was dealt a real bad hand. He was deal a
real back hand for the first couple of years off
than Lad was hair horrible. He didn't have no threats
around him. He had dealt a real bad hand. Everybody, somebody, no, no,
(21:52):
he deserved this. He deserved that. Bryce Joang is better
what people think, trust me, And I mean this year
he gonna see that step up. And Kerolina actually played
good end of the year and they're gonna take that
same momentum and they gonna be second in the South.
And how many games are they gonna win. They're gonna
be second in the South. The devil, I'm telling you,
they're gonna be second the South. Say your Goofy has something.
Speaker 4 (22:18):
Gonna revisit the Goofy tape that's at number one, at
number one, I got Atlanta.
Speaker 3 (22:24):
I think Atlanta.
Speaker 1 (22:25):
This year, what they're gonna do is they're gonna focus
old boy, one of the top running backs in the league.
Last year, the running back position was one of the
biggest positions in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (22:37):
And if and the running back position finally came back,
lost his mind. Okay, okay, okay.
Speaker 1 (22:45):
I think the running back position has come back. Last
year it showed about the running back position and they
had one of the best running backs in the league.
I think this boy will be John and I think
they picked them defensive players as well. They had a
good draft. I think Atlanta's gonna be on the top
(23:06):
of the division and it's gonna end up old boy
starting the quarterback Pittys Jr. I think Atlanta's gonna win
the division, and I think their record is gonna be.
Speaker 3 (23:19):
Eleven and six. Hell no, hell no.
Speaker 4 (23:24):
Hey, I hope nobody watched this ship because Joe drunk
test to tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (23:28):
Mother.
Speaker 2 (23:29):
He quick quick reactions to the list, and then we'll
I mean, not just here, your everybody's quick reaction, and
then we're gonna we're gonna move it. I would say,
first and foremost, it's a lot of faith you put
in Atlanta. I don't think the defense is gonna come
around fast enough for them to make us have improvement.
(23:52):
I think having t Bay fault the third place is
a stretch because I think they're clearly the best team
in the division. So I think that part sucked up.
But I'll hear that. I think I agree. I grew
with Carolina.
Speaker 3 (24:03):
Clearly clearly the best team last year and the year before.
But this is a new year.
Speaker 1 (24:08):
You could be motherfuckers just talking about remember just talking
about last year, this and that things changed, you goodie, motherfuckers.
Things change. Yeah, ain't that Baking Mayfield ship.
Speaker 3 (24:22):
Okay, we're just throwing off for quarterbacks.
Speaker 5 (24:25):
You got Baking Mayfield in the quarterback room. You're gonna
pick Tyler Shaw Special Rattler Brightshaw and Michael pennidrig Junior
over Baking Mayfield.
Speaker 3 (24:37):
No, no, no, you're wrong. Obviously. To listen what I said,
I heard the same time that solving them it they last.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
The only person, the only person I put ahead of
him is Pennies Junior, Pennies j That's why. That's that's
why I'm in front of him. Boy, who has the
best running back? Who has the best running back in division?
Speaker 3 (24:59):
About running back? About quarterback? No, but I mean, but
the number one offensive line, be Giant is number one.
Speaker 2 (25:08):
But don't sleep on buck On Buckie over in Tampa
Bay exactly.
Speaker 3 (25:14):
Number one. But don't don't sleep on Buckie. Okay, A
lot of offensive line ain't nothing special.
Speaker 2 (25:20):
Hey, a lot of conversation, good conversation, good feedback. It's
time to move on. Now we're gonna transition over and
we're gonna resorted right to come back and look at
the picks and see where you know, see where we
all fall, see who's right is wrong. It's gonna be
you find on our website America, Bangladesh, India. You'll find
(25:41):
it there and then you'll be able to come back
and tell us whether we were right or wrong.
Speaker 3 (25:46):
But moving on to the a f C South.
Speaker 2 (25:48):
F C South, another division, just like the n C South,
has been soft over the last couple of years, hasn't
had a lot of intrigue or had teams that are
going to have been very, very competitive in the years before.
And you know, obviously those teams are looking to fix
that this year and hope that they can turn over
a new lead with probably Houston, you know, in most
(26:10):
people's thoughts, as the number one team in the division.
But we'll see where our experts think and see where
we find. So we're gonna go ahead and start. The
same rules apply for the one you give the record
for the first place team tweeting at first, running go ahead,
tweeting you.
Speaker 3 (26:31):
From oh tweety froze up. All right, Hey, we'll.
Speaker 4 (26:36):
Go ahead, go ahead. Q Okay, I'll go first with
this list for this year. All right, here we go.
We started off this list. Yeah, team, you know they
went out, they made a splash in the draft.
Speaker 3 (26:52):
They did.
Speaker 4 (26:52):
They thug fizzle, and we're gonna have to give it
to that fourth place team. They're still gonna struggle like
a motherfucker. That's the Tennessee titles. Even though they got
cam Ward, it's still it's his first year. They're putting
a lot of pressure on that young brother.
Speaker 3 (27:10):
You know.
Speaker 4 (27:10):
You know who they left They left tackle is Dan.
The more they paid this motherfucker eighty two million dollars
to to to play left tackle, this pokemull gave up
twelve sacks last year. PFF has that at one out
of one forty. So you ain't gave him eighty two
million dollars and you you can pick up somebody off
(27:32):
the streets to motherfucker to protect your blindside better than that.
So that's gonna be a problem with cam War right there.
Not gonna spend a lot of time on them. I
got him at four and thirteen. I am in I
am excited to see the young brother, but it's just
his first season and we're not gonna get much more
out of them. Moving right along to our third place team,
(27:54):
who the hell is gonna play quarterback? I know who
should play quarterback, But we don't know who gonna play quarterback,
and them damn Coats, them, damn coats. We don't know
who playing the quarterback. Would we would hope forget you, Martin,
This is what I believe. We would hope that Anthony Richardson.
(28:17):
We want a young brother to come out and do
his thing. We already know what Daniel Jones about. We've
seen him. We don't want to see no more of them.
I don't seen enough of them. I don't want to
see no more. But they got some talent around this team.
But because you got a quarterback in a situation is
probably gonna be a fucking carousel.
Speaker 3 (28:35):
I got him in six and eleven. I got him
in six and eleven.
Speaker 4 (28:38):
All right, all right, that's my third place team, moving
right along to my second place team. And this is
a team that should always have just underachieved since they
picked up their quarterback, Trevor Lawrence, you know, And that's
the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Speaker 3 (28:56):
The generational motherfucking talent they called him.
Speaker 4 (28:58):
Yeah yeah, but but we we ain't seen nothing yet,
and we don't seen different coordinator, different coaches and everything.
But now they pay him with the Travis Hunter.
Speaker 3 (29:08):
I'm gonna tell you this, with him, I've seen a
lot of quarterbacks like him this generation. Yeah, we have,
we have.
Speaker 4 (29:14):
Yeah, we've seen a lot of mister and uh Ryan,
Mister Ryan Leafs is what they're gonna turn out to be.
Speaker 3 (29:19):
I'm not gonna say he's that level.
Speaker 4 (29:21):
Uh but but definitely should have been a lot better
than what we expected at this point, uh in fourteen.
But uh, they they got Travis Hunter. How they gonna
use them? I say they should use them predominantly more
of a defensive player and the offensive trickle every now
and again. You know, you can't, you can't run the
(29:41):
brother in the ground. But this is the Jacksonsville Jaguars,
and they not They don't They're not good at making
smart decisions. So uh, I got them at at seven
and ten, you know, winning some games, but not really
going you know, too far, which leads is for a
number one team, gotta finish in ten and seven of
Houston Texans.
Speaker 3 (30:01):
Uh crout Jordan.
Speaker 4 (30:03):
Mixon, you know, always a form of the duo and
in this division of a mediochaly is we're gonna we're
gonna be nice to say I'm gonna say that these
guys are gonna take this division easy.
Speaker 3 (30:18):
At ten and seven.
Speaker 4 (30:20):
Uh yeah, the Houston Texas And that's my that's my
picks right there.
Speaker 2 (30:24):
Okay, right, hey, the picks, and we're gonna go ahead, tweety,
Why don't you go and go next?
Speaker 3 (30:30):
All right? And uh and then you next.
Speaker 5 (30:34):
South South, come on with South number four. Ah, Tennessee Titans.
H it ain't that hard. But then I succeed, he can.
He going to a bad team. It's just a bad team.
(30:56):
So it ain't gonna be he a't gonna help him overnight.
You gotta get you gotta get the young brother two
or three more years and they're gonna be alright. So
I got them. I got Tennessee five and twelve, all right,
and number three, that's nice.
Speaker 3 (31:12):
Number three.
Speaker 5 (31:14):
I gotta go to Jaguars Jacksonville, Jacksonville.
Speaker 3 (31:18):
Them them bastards. I don't know what happened to him
last year. I don't know what happened to him. White Hope.
I don't know. I know that that's what they called him.
That what they called him, Great White Hope. So we'll see.
Speaker 4 (31:34):
They got Lawrence the Whope, the Hope, the whole part
is running out the flames, running out of it.
Speaker 3 (31:40):
The Olympic flame is is dying, and they messed up.
Speaker 5 (31:47):
Yeah, I got him as seven, you know, seventy ten,
but you know I got the Jacksonville Jaguars so at
number at number three, and then you know I got
the Coats. I got the coach in the second place
in the NAT with Coats. Ambasss somehow always makes the playoffs.
It don't matter who their quarterback is.
Speaker 3 (32:06):
Make it last year, gonna make it this year either,
well besides last year.
Speaker 5 (32:12):
But most of the time they always make the playoffs.
But you know, Richardson, Richeson and he hurt. Right now,
we're gonna see who's gonna start the quarterbacks at season one.
Daniel dives, it might be.
Speaker 3 (32:32):
It might be.
Speaker 4 (32:37):
They've been looking for a reason to put put Anthony
on the bench.
Speaker 5 (32:42):
You know he was doing this last year. He tired,
He tired, boss, he tired. He tapped out last year.
Speaker 3 (32:50):
He was tired time when he did that. I agree.
Speaker 5 (32:56):
Yeah, So so we're gonna go with h and number
one and take Since we're gonna go number one, that boy,
what can you say? I gotta go on the eleven and six.
They gonna win this division easy, real easy. So yeah,
I got the Texans.
Speaker 2 (33:14):
Okay, okay, yeah, I mean I think they're gonna have
a good.
Speaker 5 (33:21):
Season, so they don't have real mart you know, they're
gonna do what they do real quick.
Speaker 3 (33:29):
Tweety, what did you have the Coats going? Again? I
had the coach? Uh nine and eight? Nine and eight. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (33:39):
Oh that's a lot of wins for fourteen. But okay,
all right, okay, all right.
Speaker 1 (33:43):
Martin, go ahead, Okay, I mean, there we go.
Speaker 3 (33:48):
I think we all agree.
Speaker 1 (33:49):
I think we all agree with Tennessee. Tennessee's gonna be
a bad team this year. New coach, new quarterback, a
good young quarterback. I think it's gonna take time. So yeah, Tennessee.
Speaker 3 (34:02):
I'm not way too much time with Tennessee. Tennessee's will
be at the fourth spot.
Speaker 1 (34:07):
They need time to grow, so they're gonna be your
team at number three.
Speaker 3 (34:12):
I'm taking the Jacksonville Jaguars. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (34:15):
I think they messed up a couple of years ago.
They had a chance actually to have some grow and
then actually become the tender. But when they got up
and when he said to nothing, but when he said
nothing and then gave it up ever since then, Yeah, yeah, no, no,
Jacksville let that team. So Jacksonville will be and number
(34:38):
three with Trevor Lawrens, Trevor nowrins he and last year
he had that contract, even though last year he played bad.
A hell, he had that contract. He played bad. So yes,
Jackonsville will take that step back and number two. And
I had a hard time because if if Asie Ridgard
was healthy with with with when I'm Jonathan Taylor, if
(35:02):
he was healthy, I would have actually took them for
the number.
Speaker 3 (35:05):
One team in uh in the South. Yep, that's crazy.
Speaker 1 (35:09):
That's if that's if he that's if he was healthy.
Because I'm telling you this year, I'm telling what y'all
slipping on. I mean, this year it's gonna be about
the running backs again. The NFL is all about trains,
I'm telling you. And last year was what what was like?
What was the first year is when a running back
came back and the running back was was very big
and you and you put Jonathan Taylor with with Richardson.
(35:33):
That's a tough combination right there. That's a really tough combination.
But he's not he's not the best. He's not the
best throwing quarterback. But but I tell you one thing
about him, he was getting wins though. When he was playing,
he was healthy, he was getting wins.
Speaker 3 (35:50):
He was getting wins. He was getting wins.
Speaker 1 (35:53):
They was eight and then last year they was they
was getting wins with him and Jonathan Taylor in the back.
Speaker 3 (36:00):
I think that's a day new combination. That's just me.
Speaker 1 (36:03):
Hey, but I get him number two, I got number
two and number one.
Speaker 3 (36:09):
I gotta go with Houston. I mean, Jamiico Ryans got
these boys. Last year.
Speaker 1 (36:13):
They started off real slow and they came back late
whether and in one division, but they haven't start off
early and bis momentum. They have the talent, they have
a defense. There was gonna be good as hell. I
think it was gonna be good as hell. He was
gonna be good at hell. Stroud gotta play better early
in the season. But I think I think Houston could
(36:35):
be a contender in the LC. They're probably make the
second round division around, but yeah, I think Houston will
win division on their defense. They have a good running
back as well in mixing they have a good running
as well. I'm saying this year it's gonna be a
comeback for the running back, just like last year was.
(36:55):
I'm saying it's not about trains and ship this year
is gonna be another year for running back. So if
you notice all of my picks, I'm going with the
running backs. I'm saying the running back is very big
running back.
Speaker 3 (37:06):
I was. Of course, that's the key to so ain't
going with my running back?
Speaker 4 (37:10):
To with my running back? You didn't go with all
running backs. You didn't go with all running backs who
because you picked green baiten in the division when Jim
Gribbs is purely the best running back in their division.
So you didn't go with.
Speaker 3 (37:25):
No, he ain't James not running back. JA. We'll talk
about that later.
Speaker 1 (37:33):
Brought me if you ain't to say we're not gonna
go there Twitter, you said who?
Speaker 3 (37:39):
You said, I ain't go with who? No, you ain't
going with my best my running.
Speaker 2 (37:42):
Back exactly franchise ship franchise, but he butt running back.
Speaker 4 (37:50):
I don't make no differences what I say tweety I
s would guy when you not only and not only
do run a ship franchise. Bro, you see your brother
jumping and defending the coming up last, certainly not least
is going to be my picks for the AFC South.
Speaker 2 (38:11):
Once again, I don't think we have much of a
contender here. We have one that maybe might etch into
the into the ranks of benity contender, but at the
end of the day, more than likely not gonna started off.
And I think at the number four spot for this division,
everybody said the same thing. We've all been on the
same page. I think that the Tennessee Titans. I think
(38:32):
they made their mistake when they hissed their wagon to
Levin's Levis last year, so now it has them starting over.
I think they got a better start because Cam. I
think it's gonna have a pretty good season. But I
think they have a subject. They got a suspect group
of talent around them, so I think that that might
be the problem in that situation.
Speaker 3 (38:53):
So we'll see what happens. I think they come in last.
Speaker 2 (38:56):
I think there's no way that anybody goes to the
bottom levels where they are. I think they'll get three wins,
so I got them at three or fourteen for the season.
Speaker 3 (39:05):
I think they got. It's gonna be a tough year.
It's gonna be a tough year right now. Born in
the third place. I think this was.
Speaker 2 (39:13):
Gonna be a cheffon of the of the guard of
which you expected the last couple of years. I do
think that they've made a couple of good additions in
off seasons, but I don't think enough in order to
be able.
Speaker 3 (39:25):
To superseed what the issues were last year.
Speaker 2 (39:28):
I think, without a doubt, I think they have to
make a decision what they're going to do as far
as where they're placing players.
Speaker 3 (39:35):
But I think third place is going to be Jacksonville Jaguars.
Speaker 2 (39:38):
I think they have some They were at a point
where they were the next breakthrough team, and I think
they've since regressed. And I think since that, I think
the Golden Boy has regressed. I think Lawrence has not
panned out to what they think you should be. I
think you should have an opportunity to improve, But I'm
not sure he's ever going to be the quarterback they
(39:59):
expect them to be.
Speaker 3 (40:00):
And and tweety.
Speaker 2 (40:02):
If you didn't notice, they lost the fifth rated tight
end in the in the NFL to Denver. That's what
Markin said. That's some bullshit. He's not the fifth, He's
not the fifth tight end in the league. That's he's
like ten. He ain't five, he ain't top five.
Speaker 1 (40:18):
Now say he's rated at top five and then you
say no, no, no, no, no, I'm saying I am actually
fucking with you because your goofy has said he was
top five tighty and he's not.
Speaker 3 (40:28):
He never been and ain't never gonna be.
Speaker 2 (40:31):
So anyway, moving on, So I think with with losing
that tight end that that this motherfucker talks about, I
think they're gonna end up a third place.
Speaker 3 (40:41):
I think Jacksonville probably wins six games.
Speaker 2 (40:43):
So I got this Jacksonville six and eleven uh for
the season, and I think that's where they tap out
at our next going to the second place, I think
another team, I think number two second the division and
the AC South. I think this team also has had
a hard time determining what they want to do at quarterback. Hey,
they want to go with Richson or not go with Richard,
(41:04):
they want to start him or not. I think they've
been actually actively searching and looking for a reason to
put Anthony Richard on the bench.
Speaker 3 (41:12):
I think this year, I think I think they're.
Speaker 2 (41:14):
Gonna start with Danny Dimes, which we all know here
as a mistake for Danny Diames to be on top
of anybody who lives a quarterback, but I think he's
gonna end up being a starter for the season.
Speaker 3 (41:23):
Whether that's for the entire year.
Speaker 2 (41:24):
I don't think Danny Downs can hold it because I
don't think he can play good for sustained level. But
I think it lands the Indianapolis coach in second place,
and what he is a fairly weak and soft division.
Speaker 3 (41:36):
So I think Indianapolis probably finished out eight to nine.
It's what I got. They were at eight and nine
last year.
Speaker 2 (41:41):
I think they're gonna finish up at eight and nine
again this year and be in second place. This is
one of the few times where I'll say the second
place team is gonna be shitty, where tweety has like
the second place team on every division except the Raiders.
The Raiders in the West as finisher would win the record.
So I think we're going to be nine and then
I think Laves not least. I think it's a four
(42:02):
gone conclusion. I think it's an easy call. I think
to put number one in the division of Houston. But
I think the big thing, or the big question for
Houston is is what are we going to see out
of Stroud Stroud going to bounce back, because I tell you,
the Stroud I saw last season pales in comparison to
the Stroude we saw in his rookie year.
Speaker 3 (42:21):
So I think that is the question.
Speaker 4 (42:23):
Is is does Houston continue because they made some good
acquisitions last year, But are they going to continue to
move up into the upper edge line or they're gonna
fall back into being being a division winner of a
soft conference and not really a challenger in the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (42:40):
I think they're I like what they have from Mixing.
From running game perspective, I think he had a great year.
He's a stud I think from a wide receive perspective,
I think they're They're good. They have They picked up
some some people in the draft for the quarterback the
quarterback position, I mean run wide receiver position.
Speaker 3 (43:01):
They picked up some some people in the draft.
Speaker 2 (43:03):
I think if their offensive line plays better than the
last year, That's one thing I will say in defensive
strout is that their.
Speaker 3 (43:11):
Offer the line was horrible last year.
Speaker 2 (43:13):
They were sub probably running the ball, even though Mixing
made the most out of the situation. He's a two
way back that catches the ball and runs the ball,
So he's a dual threat, So I think that did help,
but the offin line is going to actually determine what
they do this year.
Speaker 3 (43:27):
They have a stud defense.
Speaker 4 (43:28):
And they have stud rushers on the defensive line, so
I think defense Mio is gonna have the defense rate
and row, but it's gonna be about the offen the line,
whether they can block for mixing and they can give.
Speaker 2 (43:40):
Strives time to throw the ball. And Stroud has a
bounce back the year. I think they're gonna run the
table in their division. I think they will be undefeated
in their division, which is going to be six wins obviously,
I think that's going to Yeah, they're gonna run the
table in the division. They're gonna be They're gonna be
on the sorry. Yeah, I think they run the table
(44:01):
because in and out, but they can stop. They gonna
stop the run and then I got to throw the
ball to beat them. They're not gonna be to do
it with Danny Downing or with Richardson. So I think
they run the table. And I think they while they
have a tough schedule and they start off with the
Rams at l A.
Speaker 3 (44:14):
In Week one, they played Tampa.
Speaker 2 (44:16):
In Week two, they played Baltimore, in Baltimore and week
in Week five they got to play San Francisco at home,
they played Denver, which that's a win. At at home,
they play the Bills, kentsas City and Charge. They got
tough schedule, but I think the soft division get them
opportunity to win. I think they end up being ten
and seven on top of the AFC South and they
(44:37):
win the division. I think that is a lock. And
I think then winning running the division table is a
lot too. So that's that's my call. They'll open it
up for anybody that wants to give any feedback to
whether it be my list or any of the other lists,
and then we'll we'll call it a day for our
our NFC NFL previews.
Speaker 3 (44:55):
Okay, really really really quick ride. The only thing you
have a good lis Uh.
Speaker 4 (45:01):
I got a problem with your second and third place
scene that you're taking UH to a quarterback carousel over
the Jacksonville Jaguars, and I just feel like that's maybe
a little farfetched, which was you know, I don't like that.
Speaker 2 (45:17):
I think you had a quarterback that lost his confidence
last year, so can can Lawrence get his confidence back?
I think carousel is better than the quarterback and no confidence.
But we'll see if he can get confident confidence back
this year.
Speaker 3 (45:28):
I think Peterson.
Speaker 2 (45:29):
Peterson was quarterback friendly, so he was playing the quarterback
friendly system and he unfortunate last year and in turn out.
So we'll see if he can get it back and
and get back into what everybody thinks about him and
what his money says he should be.
Speaker 4 (45:44):
Okay, I just feel like a consistent quarterback with Jacksonville
might edge them out in that, you know, and flip
flop in that, in that, in that. But I don't
neither what I'm gonna win the division. But I just
feel like that might flip flop a little bit. But
that's that's I think. I think gotta figure that out.
So we'll see if Danny Dammes they think he answered,
(46:05):
he ain't gonna answer, hopefully at Richardson. So we'll we'll
see anybody anybody else on my list or anybody else's.
Speaker 5 (46:11):
Listen, mart mar Ship you how you how are you
gonna say that the coach when you said the coach, No,
you said the Jaguars and detections was close as number
one division.
Speaker 1 (46:23):
I just say the Jaguars, I said the coat, the
coat to the top Coats close the time, because the
Coats have the I mean the Coats have they every year,
the coaches right there because they have the right and
they have a good running game.
Speaker 3 (46:36):
And you know the only thing, look, the.
Speaker 1 (46:38):
Only thing they helped me back, they help me back
from taking the Coats and win the division.
Speaker 3 (46:43):
Was that uck.
Speaker 1 (46:45):
Oh boy, he ain't gonna try to get to see
because because he probably hurt. But if any Ridges I'm
taking because when any Ridge was playing where he was,
when he was playing, he was healthy.
Speaker 3 (46:54):
The coach was playing real good football. I'm gonna tell
you this football.
Speaker 2 (46:59):
The fact that gonna start the season with Danny Dimes,
their fucking season is over and he dives gonna fuck
that ship up so.
Speaker 3 (47:05):
Bad, then a't gonna have a chance to come that mother. Hey,
look you saw him in New York.
Speaker 2 (47:10):
That mother fucked up more games and then a bookie
betting with the points spread and give it up points.
Speaker 3 (47:16):
That mother, look was terrible. So I ain't got no
favorite Danny Dimes. He can use his last He can
run a little bit. He uses run a little bit,
That's about it. But Richard Richardon can run, and Danny
he's okay. All right as a running not in the
passer yea, he.
Speaker 1 (47:35):
Well as a pass but when he was playing, he
made no passes to win games.
Speaker 3 (47:41):
He was winning games. Now I like him call the game,
which is all huh, we're talking about.
Speaker 1 (47:51):
When Richard was playing, he made no place, but I'm
throwing the ball to win games. And I'm saying, look,
last year is bad. Y'all said that he played. They
was I mean eighty nine, y'all like they was.
Speaker 3 (48:03):
One of the worst teams in the league. They wouldn't
find I understand.
Speaker 5 (48:07):
I'm just saying that you said you was gonna put
them over Texas.
Speaker 1 (48:11):
Yeah, I am, because because because there wasn't about the Texans.
The Texans took a step back last year. Album of
y'all know that they won division. They took a step back.
Everybody it was bigger than Texans took me. No mean,
actually compete for the for the MC and what what
did they do? They won division? But they actually took
(48:33):
a step back. Y'all just take them was just like, no,
this just juggernaut. Please, No, it wasn't like that they
truggled over the season.
Speaker 3 (48:40):
Did they did?
Speaker 4 (48:40):
Off?
Speaker 3 (48:41):
The time? Was the key to their struggles, so we'll see.
Speaker 2 (48:44):
Obviously we got varying opinions, we got varying quarterbacks. I
think the divisions we covered today are up in the air. Yeah,
I think anybody. I don't think any of them are
serious attenders. None of them made rids list. What is
a prise?
