The liminal space, or gap between beginnings and endings, can be a sacred and cruel place. Fear and anxiety often arise in this space of waiting and uncertainty. It is important to name this space, regulate our nervous systems, and rewrite the narratives we tell ourselves. Both spiritual and secular beliefs can provide anchors in the liminal. The pause and delay in this space does not mean dismissal, and we should not confuse silence with absence. The door at the end may take time to unlock,
