In June 2003, 23-year-old Shaun Higgins was stabbed and left to die outside a flat on Chirkdale Street in Walton, Liverpool. Two decades later, his killer has never been found — and his family are still waiting for justice.

In this episode of It’s Murder in Merseyside, we revisit the scene, explore the rumours, and unpack why this case — like so many others in Merseyside — has faded from public view.

Through reconstructed voice clips, atmospheric sound design, and carefully researched storytelling, we bring Shaun’s story back into the light.

If you know anything about Shaun Higgins’ death, please contact Merseyside Police or Crimestoppers anonymously.
