This week on Off The Record, King Charles III’s throne speech began with a land acknowledgment, with concerns that it signals a continuation of Trudeau-era wokeism under Prime Minister Mark Carney.

This marks the first time a reigning monarch has delivered such a statement in the House of Commons.

In Alberta, Premier Danielle Smith said the federal government now has only “weeks, not months” to deliver meaningful action.

Her comments follow the submission of a formal petition by the Alberta Prosperity Project calling for a referendum on separation.

A recent poll showed 41 per cent of Albertans would vote in a referendum to separate, with 44 per cent opposed.

Concerns over political censorship emerged after YouTube permanently removed a popular conservative channel that had gained significant traction during the election.

The removal followed a CBC complaint and resulted in the CBC celebrating the take-down.
