Keep The Change

This episode covers the brand new type of community we find when we follow the way of Jesus. It's messy, hard, fulfilling, and life changing all at the same time. Without it we can't become who when are meant to be.

Maybe the well know statement of "knowledge is power" isn't actually true. Maybe there's more to that knowledge actually changing us.

Following Jesus is designed to be more than a personal relationship, we are designed to follow Him with other people. We can try to do it alone but we will never experience the Kingdom in its fullness without that ongoing relationship with others.

On this episode we discuss things that have been impacting our own spiritual lives in a positive way and how these truths/tool came to us. We hope it provides some encourage for your own journey! 

How do we find habits we can stick with? Today we talk about our experiences with new habits and why some stuck and some did not.

Christmas can easily become just another holiday or seem like a distant children's story from years past. Our familiarity with the story and the season can easily cause us to miss out on all that it has to teach us. As we share what has refreshed the birth story of Jesus for us, we hope it does the same for you. 

Today we look at the process behind how we hit our goals or find change in life and why we often don't. There's a universal tool that helps us to understand how change happens and understanding it will enable us to self diagnose what needs to change in the future. 

Following Jesus costs us everything but we also get everything in return. What does that return look like in our life though? That's what we talk about on this episode. 

Everything comes at a cost. Whether we're buying a car or going to a birthday party, everything we say yes to means we say no to something else. Following Jesus is no different. Let's look at what Jesus says we should consider before we choose to follow Him.

On this episode we continue talking about spiritual disciplines and look to what one of the apostles of The Way has to say about the impact they can have  

Whether we realize it or not, we have practices in our lives that are shaping who we are becoming. If we aren't changing like we want to, then we may want to look at what we're doing or not doing. Let's take a couple episodes to dive into some practices that will help us find change that we can keep. 

Sometimes we think we have it all figured it out. However, we don't know what we don't know. When it comes to our faith, curiosity is the key to discovering the truth and finding lasting change.

On this episode we talk about how following Jesus can feel backwards or "upside down" to the way we are used to living and acting. In reality though our way of doing things often doesn't work and we may find that what feels upside down is actually right side up.
