Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello, listeners, I can't thank you enough for stopping by.
Its time for another episode of the Lawnmower Versus sports
Car podcast. I was walking through my local home and
garden store the other day and I walked past the
lawnmower section and didn't realize how ridiculously expensive lawnmowers are.

(00:21):
It occurred to me that for some of those prize tags,
I might as well go get myself a sports car,
albeit maybe a used one slightly damaged. But I'd have
a lot more fun in a sports car than mowing
my yard. Well, as it turns out, there are some

(00:43):
incredibly expensive lawnmowers. To day, we're going to dive into
the most expensive lawnmowers and then talk about some sports
card that you could buy instead. We should start off
on the bottom end. Maybe you can find yourself a

(01:05):
eighties Camaro that probably needs an engine rebuild for twenty
nine hundred bucks. You could also get yourself a John
Deere Tango E five Series two. This is a robotic lawnmower.
It only has a cutting width of seven inches, but

(01:29):
can cover an area of up to twenty two hundred
square meters. It is powered by a lithium ion battery.
Once programmed, the John Dere Tango E five Series two
mows the lawn on its own using sensors and pre
set schedules. It is designed to function in various weather conditions,

(01:52):
though it can return to its docking station during heavy rain.
The electric motor is nearly island, making it ideal for
nighttime mowing. Grass clippings are finely shredded and left on
the lawn as natural fertilizer with the John Deere Tango

(02:12):
E five's mulching technology. The Tango E five even has
an anti theft security system with a pin code protection
and alarm system to prevent unauthorized use. How dare you
mow my lawn without me? The Tango E five Series two,

(02:33):
coming in at just a little over twenty nine hundred dollars,
is best for homeowners with small two medium sized lawns
who want a hands free mowing experience. Another robotic lawnmower
cause why mow your lawn or pay some high school
kid too. The Honda Mimo hr M five twenty retails

(02:58):
it a little over a thirty two hundred dollars, features
an eight point seven inch cutting blade and can cover
an area up to three thousand square meters. The HRM
five point twenty is powered by a lithium ion battery
and has GPS and smartphone control. You can control your

(03:22):
Mimo from an app. It allows you to schedule, monitor,
and even remotely operate. The Mimo has smart AI adjustments
that cut roots based on lawn growth. It features slope
handling and can navigate inclines of up to twenty five degrees.

(03:44):
It automatically returns to the charging station when the battery
is low, and is designed to operate in even wet conditions.
It's best for tech savvy homeowners who want a high
end robotic mower with app based control. Now we're gonna
step it up a bit. Next on the list is

(04:08):
the Toro seventy five hundred D series, a roughly thirty
three thousand dollars commercial zero turn mower. It features a
ninety six inch cutting width and is powered by a
thirty seven horsepower yan Mar diesel engine. Boasts a fuel

(04:29):
capacity of twelve gallons. The Toro seventy five hundred can
rotate in place, making it incredibly agile with its zero
turn maneuverability. It has a massive cutting deck that can
cover large areas efficiently. It offers better fuel economy than

(04:52):
gas mowers by having a diesel powered engine. It is
built for daily use and is best for professional landscapers,
large estates and golf courses that need high efficiency mowing.
Next up the Jacobson Eclipse three two two with a

(05:18):
price tag of a little over thirty five grand. It's
a hybrid greens mower featuring a fifty nine inch cutting deck.
The Jacobson Eclipse is available in either gasoline or a
hybrid electric model. The hybrid electric model can switch between

(05:39):
electric and gas power for greater efficiency. It's used on
golf courses primarily for high quality turf maintenance with precision cutting,
and it's an eco friendly option that reduces emissions compared
to traditional mowers. It's best for golf course maintenance teams

(06:01):
and anybody that needs a highly precise grass cutting experience.
The John deere Z Track nine to nine seven are
diesel with a sticker price of thirty eight one thousand
dollars is another zero turn mower with a massive sixty

(06:23):

another thirty seven horse power Yanmar diesel engine with over
eleven gallon fuel capacity. The John deere Z Track features
a high torque diesel engine that can handle thick grass
with these Its zero turn steering gives it extreme maneuverability,

(06:48):

It's powered by a thirty five horse power Kawasaki engine
and has a top speed of eleven miles per hour.
Its massive one hundred and four inch cutting deck is
one of the largest available. It can mow large fields

(07:34):
quickly and provides a comfortable ride. Its best for schools, parks,
and large estates, or anybody needing a efficient, high speed
mowing experience. That mower would mow my lawn in two passes.
The Mean Green Rival at modest fifty thousand dollars, is

(07:58):
a fully electric zero turn mower with a cutting width
of fifty two to seventy two inches. It features a
battery life of up to seven hours. It's completely electric,
reducing carbon footprint. An ideal for urban landscaping. Because it's electric,

(08:20):
there is no oil changes or fuel costs. It's best
for eco conscious landscapers looking for a commercial grade electric mower.
The Walker M two twenty seven I zero turn is
another zero turn mower that will cost you fifty five

(08:40):
thousand dollars. Its cutting width is forty eight to seventy
four inches and it's powered by a twenty seven horse
power Collier EFI engine. It's great for intricate mowing with
precision steering and allows for various cutting styles with interchainangle decks.

(09:02):
Its ideal for landscapers with professional grade bagging system and
is best for high end residential and commercial landscapers needing
precision cutting. Now we're talking the big mow. Bell Robotics

(09:26):
one hundred one thousand dollars depending on your options, is
an industrial robotic mower. Unfortunately one inch shy of being
the largest cutting with as well. It can cover an
area of twenty four acres and as ideal for massive properties.

(09:49):
It's fully autonomous and uses GPS and AI for navigation.
If you've got the budget, you can put multiples of
these together and they'll be controlled by software. Their best
were golf courses, sports fields, and municipalities looking for autonomous

(10:10):
mowing solutions. That's a pretty good budget to work with.
We can go anywhere between three to a hundred thousand dollars.
I think we can find ourselves a pretty nice sports
car somewhere in there. On next week's episode, we'll dive
into that list, because unfortunately, that's all the time that

(10:32):
we have for today's episode of the Lawnmower Versus sports
Car Podcasts. I can't thank you enough for listening, and
until next time,
