Elevate Your Game

The story starts with a shock: a man known for steel nerves and quiet power hands money to a rival and checks on his wellbeing. Rochelle watched that moment and felt her map of the world tilt. What if real strength looks like care with boundaries? From there, we dive into the blueprint Silk built—how he moved from tracks to boardrooms without losing the core principle that people are not assets to extract but minds to equip.

We walk through the operating system that changed lives: drivers and adjacent rooms for safety, hotel relationships to reduce risk, and strict deposits so women kept control. Extra earnings stayed with them. Then came the turn most don’t expect—equity offers, 401k plans, and a promise that anyone who stayed long enough would own a stake in real companies. Rochelle details how those choices converted chaos into capital and gave her something she never imagined: a portfolio and a voice in a movie studio. It’s wealth as design, not accident.

Along the way, you’ll hear the rules that kept the center steady. Silk lets users reveal themselves, pays the small price to learn the truth, then closes the door for good. No public blowups, no chasing, no second chances. That clarity protects the circle and preserves energy for those who show up with honesty. We also talk about pride, help offered and refused, and the family thread that pulled him off the blade when his niece was born. Now, as he faces health challenges, China stays by his side, and Rochelle returns to honor the man who taught them to make the brain the moneymaker and leave dependence behind.

If stories of safety, ownership, and quiet leadership resonate with you, press play and lean in. Subscribe for more candid conversations, share this with someone who needs a blueprint for dignity and wealth, and leave a review to tell us what insight you’ll act on next.

SPEAKER_00 (00:00):
Hi everybody, it's Rochelle again.

(00:02):
We were hoping that China andSilk would be back this week,
but Silk is still a little underthe weather and China, she's not
gonna leave his side foranything.
So I guess I'm back for anotherweek.
If you listened to my last, Iguess you'd call it podcast.
I told you a little bit about mypast.
Well, this week, I want to spenda little time on what made me
decide to stay with Silk.

(00:23):
If you remember the podcast, pimps, paper and payback, China
Doll Ain't Holding Back.
I was with her that night and Iremember not believing what I
saw when Silk gave our formerwhat you call a 16 today, money
when we chose up.
I wanted to stick with Silk tofind out exactly what was going
on because that sort of threw mefor a loop.

(00:44):
I had never seen a pee do thatbefore.
He actually was concerned andcared about the other pee.
Silk had just knocked hisladies, and Silk wanted to make
sure that our former P was good.
Anyway, let's shoot to thepresent.
I wanted to talk about myexperiences with my family and
what have you, but it's still alittle too painful for me right

(01:04):
now.
I never got to say goodbye to mydad because I was a spoiled,
selfish child.
That didn't want to listen to myparents, but I had no problem
obeying every word and commandof a total stranger.
So, I'm gonna spend this episodetalking about silk, and
honestly, a lot of people willthink this is made up, but I've
seen with my own eyes what silkis capable of and what silk can

(01:27):
do.
This is a man who generallycares about people, not your
pussy, mouth, or money.
He cares about your brain.
He went from having girls on thetrack to the fancy penthouse
boardrooms.
I've actually been to hisoffices in New York, Dallas,
Jacksonville, London, andQuebec.
He's even got one in LosAngeles.

(01:47):
He's got one in Chicago.
He doesn't work out of thoseunless there's a big deal going
down or unless someone veryimportant is coming into that
particular town.
If they are, then he'll get inhis jet and he'll go there.
But other than that, he worksfrom his office in his home
right here in California.
What I love about Silk is hisdemeanor never changes, ever.

(02:09):
He's, I don't know how to say itright, but you can piss him off
and you'll never know it.
He never argues, raises hisvoice, nothing.
By the time you finish sayingsomething or doing something to
piss him off, his face looks thesame.
But there's a good chance whenyou wake up the next morning,
your life has been destroyed andyou never saw it was coming.
You thought you got over or didsome slick shit, you are so

(02:30):
wrong.
I've watched this man make phonecalls and end people's careers
in like two hours.
He used to have a saying, Idon't know if he still says it,
but he says, I could be sittingdrinking a cup of coffee in
London and rip your fuckingheart out in Louisiana, and he
can too.
But he's the nicest personyou'll ever meet.
The only thing that Silk doesthat to this day irks the hell

(02:53):
out of me is he'll know whensomeone is trying to use him or
trying to get over on him, andhe'll never let them know that
he knows what they are doing.
If they ask for money, he'llgive it to them, knowing that
their reason for wanting it is alie.
He had someone tell him thatthey were kidnapped off the
blade and needed$700.
Silk knew it was her boyfriendPimp that supposedly kidnapped

(03:15):
her, but he played along, justto prove a point to her.
If people ask for a place tostay, he'll let them stay with
him or get them a hotel room, and when they disappear in the
wind, he makes statements like,Well, it only cost me a few
dollars to find out what kind ofperson they are and to know who
never sit around my table again.
I used to ask him, but why letit go that far?

(03:37):
Why don't you let them know thatyou know they're running a scam?
And he actually said, They putso much effort in coming up with
this crap.
I didn't want to burst theirbubble and I wanted to see how
stupid they thought I was.
And he's serious.
If it costs him a little bit ofmoney, some clothing, a car or
whatever, he's grateful enoughthat at least now he knows this

(03:58):
person will never be around himever again.
I don't understand why someonewould try to finesse you out of
a sandwich when they could justbe honest and eat forever.
You see, with Silk, there is nogray area.
It's not a baseball game withhim.
You don't get three strikes.
You fuck up once and you loseaccess to him for the rest of
your life, and you'll regretthat.

(04:19):
Because as long as I've knownSilk, I've never known him to
ask anybody for anything.
If he didn't have the money forit, or if he wasn't able to get
what he wanted, he did withoutit.
So it's not like he's gonna losea lot of sleep because you're no
longer in his life.
There has never been an autopsyreport that stated, victim died
due to loss of friends.

(04:40):
A lot of people in Silk's pastthink that he follows them
online or checks on them to seehow they are doing.
Silk really doesn't give a fuck.
When he's done, he's done.
His phrase is, I don't chew gumtwice.
Once I spit it out, it's for agood reason.
Here's another example.
Silk has family members that Ijust found out about.

(05:01):
I've known him almost 20 years.
He never brings them up, henever talks about them.
He is literally what you call aself-made man.
I didn't even know he had abrother and two sisters.
I just found that out, likewithin the last six months.
If it wasn't for China puttingthat his mom's birthday was back
in October on his Instagram andTikTok pages, I wouldn't even

(05:22):
know when her birthday was.
China's a lot closer to Silkbecause she's made sure to be
there for him through thick andthin.
She's literally his ride or die.
I was out running my companiesthat he helped me set up.
China is that person that wouldcall every other day.
I would only call every otherweek.
I'll let you know the kind ofperson Master Silk is, I'll give

(05:43):
you a prime example.
China told me about a girl thatworked for Silk about 17 years
ago.
He stayed in touch with her onand off as much as he could.
When he found out she wasn'tdoing that well medically, he
reached out to her and heactually paid to bring her where
he was.
He cared about her and wanted totake care of her.
She actually told him that, ifthe only reason you want me back

(06:06):
is cause you feel sorry for me,I don't want to come back, you
might as well forget about it.
I was told that Silk'sexpression never changed, he
said.
Okay.
This woman, knowing that sheneeded help and he extended an
olive branch to her, sheactually still believed she held
the cards, like she was bringingso much to the table besides

(06:27):
medical bills.
That Silk was more than happy tocover, by the way.
Silk wanted to help her out, hewanted to be there for her, and
she acted like, I don't needyou.
And the minute he decided, okay,I haven't heard any more about
her, he doesn't bring her upanymore.
It just seems weird to me thathe was being generous after not

(06:47):
seeing her for maybe 15 years, that she still acted like she
wanted him to jump through hoopsfor her.
Hopefully they worked it outbecause I think they're still
friends.
I just really don't understandpeople nowadays.
Here's another example.
Chyna told me that Silk actuallyknows a young lady who had a
mother who was a stripper, anauntie that stripped, a sister

(07:10):
who was an exotic dancer, andshe had a grandmother who was
what they used to call avaudeville shake dancer.
So they knew about that life.
This girl decided not to ask anyof them anything and just
decided to run away from homeand be a blade runner.
She would rather sell her bodyon the street than to learn how
to work strip clubs.

(07:31):
She had 180 years of advice, sitting right there in her home
at her fingertips, but shethought that going on the
internet and seeing other girlsflash fake temu money, she
actually thought that she wasgonna become a big thing.
Silk never talks about her.
I only learned about her throughChina, but I do know that she's
not one of Silk's relatives.

(07:53):
It appears she's just someone heknows.
You know, I was gonna try toanswer some of these questions,
because the voicemail and theinbox is filled up on let me
pullyourcoat.com.
We can't even accept any moremessages, but I'm not qualified
to answer these messages withoutSilk's approval.
That's a Silk and China thing.
I'm sorry I can't answer themfor you, but I just want to talk
to you guys about Silk.

(08:14):
Any women out there that wants aleg up and a better life in the
game, whether it's bladerunning, nursing investing, or
just life, this is the man youreally need to talk to.
I've seen him help people hejust met five minutes ago.
During our first family meetingwhen he had all the girls
together for the first time, hewasn't trying to lay down his
pimp rules and his pimp laws andall that other bullshit that

(08:37):
other peas be doing.
He threw down portfolios andinvestment statements on the
table in front of us.
He told us that if we stickaround for a while, we would be
part owners in any company thatwas in that portfolio, our
choice.
He said he'd start us a 401kplan so that when we do decide
to leave, we have money.
He said, I'll make sure youleave here with some money.

(08:59):
If the girls wanted to leaveearly, they had the option of
cashing out or letting it ride.
All the girls, if they left, they left with money.
I know I did.
And now, I'm back.
When Silk went legit, he leftbehind a flourishing escort
service that he wound up sellingfor damn good money.
You couldn't even get a girl togo anywhere for less than a

(09:20):
$1,500 deposit up front.
Whatever she made when she waswith her client, that's
different, and it was all hersto keep.
She didn't leave the officewithout the deposit paid up
front.
It was mainly things like go tothe movies, go out to a fancy
dinner, go out to a businessluncheon, and just be on the
guy's arm as eye candy.
Whatever she made on the side, that was hers.

(09:41):
Silk didn't take any of that, that was her money.
The girls who decided to stay onthe street and work for Silk,
each girl had a driver.
They didn't have to call Uber.
They didn't have to use theirown cars.
Silk provided cars and driversthat he paid to keep an eye on
his girls.
There's no way he could havekept an eye on 12 to 15 girls at

(10:02):
a time, so he actually had awhole staff that did that.
There was always a guy sittingin the room next door to the
room that they rented.
They'd have two rooms, one forthe girls, one for her
bodyguard.
And that's just the way it was.
Hell! Silk usually owned thehotel or had a deal with whoever
did own it.
The girls' safety was his toppriority.

(10:23):
If a girl made extra money, Silkinvested it for her or she kept
it.
He invested every spare dimethese girls made.
When they decided they didn'twant to be in the life anymore.
They left with houses, cars, bank accounts, 401k plans, and
investments.
I'm actually an investor in amovie studio.
Can you believe that?

(10:44):
I never would have thought thata girl born in Gulfport,
Mississippi would ever be ableto actually say, I've met this
famous person or I know thatdirector, but I can now.
I just wish everybody could seethat this is for real, no
bullshit.
I once asked Silk why he stoppedsending girls to the blade.
He told me once his niece wasborn, it changed his whole

(11:06):
perspective on women and life.
His niece made him stop.
How sweet is that.
Now I'm not gonna keep going onand on and what have you cause,
I don't know how long this willgo, and I don't want to screw up

(11:27):
anything for Silk and China whenthey come back.
But I just wanted to let youknow how I felt about this man.
When I heard he was sick again,I made my way here as fast as my
wheels could turn.
There was no hesitation.
China is still with him andtaking him back and forth to his
doctor's appointments.
This is the kind of man that ifwe lose him, even though we have

(11:48):
financial freedom now, a big, big, big part of our life will
be gone.
Truth is that no one actuallycared for us or loved us the way
Silk does.
He taught us that every womanhas a vagina, a set of breasts,
and a butt.
In other words, we all have thesame exact thing just in
different packaging.

(12:09):
He taught us that the one thingthat we all have that is
different is our brains.
He said that once we realizethat our brains is our
moneymaker and not our bodies,we would never be broke or
dependent on anyone for oursurvival ever again.
Okay?
I'm getting teary-eyed again.
Alright, if I think of anythingelse, I'll drop another episode.

(12:30):
Now I know it's supposed to beonce a week on Tuesdays, but
I'll probably pop on here againjust to let you guys know how
everything is going.
I appreciate you listening tome, and once I'm able to talk
more about my private andpersonal life, I'll gladly do
it.
But right now, it brings backtoo many memories.
It brings back too much pain.
Thank you guys for listening.

(12:51):
Take care, and I'll talk to younext time.
As Silk would say, much love andmuch respect.

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
