SHOW NOTES:

EPISODE SUMMARY: In this episode, I share an excerpt from Step One of my new book, Living Perfectly Loved, where I vulnerably share my story of hitting rock bottom with anxiety and fear. It was in humbling myself and calling upon the Lord for help, that I received the help I needed to break free from the grip of anxiety and fear.

It’s hard to admit we have a problem we’re not strong enough to fix on our own, but after hearing my story and learning that from humility comes wisdom (Proverbs 11:2 NIV), I believe you will be inspired to take that step in faith, too.

All right.
Let's get started! The followingis an excerpt from step one of
my book.
Living perfectly loved titledcall upon the Lord for help.

(02:19):
Alone.
I sat in the darkness of mybedroom, bearing a happiness.
I could not shake.
anxiety, tightly grip, my chest, and a dark cloud of depression
loomed over me.
I know I can't give up.
I told myself.
But I can't keep going.
Rocky myself on the tatteredcarpet on my bedroom floor with

(02:40):
tears streaming down my face.
I was utterly desperate forescape from the prison of my
mind.
The pain gouge so deep, it feltalmost more physical than
emotional.
I had reached my breaking pointand in my tormented state, I
cried out into the darkness.
I just can't do this anymore.

(03:01):
I want to die.
These thoughts came to me at mydarkest time.
When I couldn't see a way out ofthe prison of anxiety and fear I
was in.
Perhaps you felt this way too.
You've kept in it.
but you found it's not enough tofree you from the grip, anxiety
and fear have on you.
Believe me.

(03:22):
I know the feelings offrustration.
Anguish and hopelessness, likecome from struggling with
anxiety and fear for so long.
I know the tears you've criedbecause I've cried them too.
I have felt the consistent tightgrip on my chest.
That makes it hard to breathefreely.
And I've nearly collapsed fromcomplete exhaustion.

(03:44):
At the effort it takes to keepfighting anxiety day after day.
I've experienced stabbing painin the pit of my stomach and the
digestive upset that followswhenever my theory is triggered.
I know the torment anddebilitating pain that living
with anxiety and fear causes.
Emotionally, spiritually andphysically.

(04:08):
However I can also say becauseof how the Lord has since
rescued me.
I know the peace healing andfreedom that is found in knowing
and relying on God's unfailing.
Perfect love.
And living in full surrender tohis plans and purposes for my
life.
This is how I can.

(04:28):
We can now say.
To you with confidence.
That God.
has made a way for you toovercome anxiety and fear.
Hand in hand with him.
The question is.
Are you ready to take a hold ofGod's hand now and begin your
journey out of living in feartoward living perfectly loved.
The Bible says in Psalms 1 21verses one through two.

(04:52):
I lived at my eyes to themountains.
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, themaker of heaven and earth.
Jesus was with me when I couldnot find my way out of the
darkness.
In my darkest hour, when Icalled upon his name, Jesus came
to my rescue.

(05:14):
His light broke through.
My savior was right therefighting for me, his light
shining within me and all aroundme.
Commanding the darkness to flee.
Jesus is with you now, too.
He will lead you out of thedarkness of living in fear.
And into the light of livingperfectly loved in relationship

(05:35):
with him.
It will take time.
But by calling upon the Lord forhelp.
You can begin the process withhim.
Let's pray.
Heavenly father, thank you forsending your son Jesus, so that
we do not have to live indarkness, but can live to enjoy
the light of life.
I pray for the one listeningright now, who wants to begin

(05:58):
her journey out of the darknessand into the light of your love.
Please take a hold of her hand.
And remind her not to be afraid.
Help her to be humble and acceptthe help you offer in whatever
form it comes.
Draw her closer to you.
Show her your deliverance.

(06:19):
Guide her in your truth andrestore the joy of her salvation
to her.
All our hope is in you.
In Jesus' name?
I pray.
Amen.
Thanks for listening to thisepisode of the Living Perfectly
Loved podcast.
While it's true that God is loveand we are perfectly loved by

(06:41):
Him, we all struggle at times tolive like this true.
While we should strive to growin Christ likeness, we can rest
in knowing God loves us becauseof who He is, not because of who
we are or anything we could everdo for Him.
In Jesus Christ, we are enough!Remember, you don't have to be

(07:02):
perfect to live perfectly loved.
You have always been and willalways be a completely forgiven,
fully accepted, deeply loved, daughter the King.
Beautiful friend, His grace isfor you.
Please subscribe to my podcastnow and stay tuned for another
