“It’s been a slow progression and I just have to keep reminding myself, I have so much shit that's been buried within because I didn't deal with that for 35 years. I have to slowly unpeel the layers back and not feeling shame or guilt around putting myself in this position because sometimes people can think, well, God, I just put myself into position. It's funny when we start to listen to the conversations we have with ourselves and how cruel we can be with ourselves.
