Recently, I came across a story on social media that I just can’t stop thinking about. A man visited a luxury skincare store in Paris, looking for a moisturizer for his 68-year-old mother. The consultant, a woman in her 50s, told him, “A moisturizer won’t help your mother—your love will.” He was deeply moved by her honesty, and so were hundreds of people in the comments. But I couldn’t agree.
Skincare isn’t about miracles or reversing aging—it’s about maintaining your skin’s health, just like brushing your teeth. In this episode of The Meder Beauty Podcast, I’ll break down why skincare is an essential part of self-care, how misleading marketing creates skepticism, and why the right routine can benefit your overall well-being. If you’ve ever questioned whether skincare really matters, this episode is for you.
