What does it mean when we say "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"?  In our latest episode of Mercer Moments in American History, we unravel the profound implications of this powerful verse from Romans 3:23.

As we embark on our special series, "The Bible, Verses A through Z," I share a personal reflection on how recognizing our shared imperfections can illuminate the path toward spiritual enlightenment.

This episode invites you to explore the universal nature of sin and the transformative power of grace, reminding us that faith is the cornerstone of our resilience as a nation.

Join me for a heartfelt journey accompanied by the timeless hymn "Amazing Grace," which beautifully illustrates our movement from blindness to sight through faith. As we reflect on the enduring spirit of the United States,

I affirm our continued trust in God amidst a world of diverse opinions and narratives.

This episode is a celebration of the shared beliefs and values that inspire our journey as a country. Thank you for being part of this exploration, and may the grace that guides us keep the faith alive in our hearts. God bless you all.

Welcome to Mercer Moments in American History.
Today is part of a littleseries we call the Bible, Verses
A through Z.
I just went and picked out someof my verses.
You probably have others that Iwant to share with you.
Why?
Because I always believe thatthe strength of America, it's
been our faith and our valuesand our worship.
Today's verse is the verse A.
A verse, the key word is all.

(00:23):
Are you ready?
A verse, the key word is all.
Are you ready?
A verse All have sinned andfall short of the glory of God
Romans 3, 23.
Repeat it with me.
A verse All have sinned andfall short of the glory of God
Romans 3, 23.
And it raised the argument manyof my Christian friends somehow

(00:47):
get into this.
Well, you have more sins than Iever had.
That's not what God says.
Right, oh yeah, I've had somesins, but your sins are really
big ones.
That's not what God says either.
He says all have sin.
And the amazing part of God'sgrace is that we've all sinned.
We've all, in a sense, blind.
The world has made us blind andyet when we receive Christ in

(01:09):
our lives and we change ourlives, we can now see again,
spiritually see.
All have sinned and fall shortof the glory of God.
Always try to tie one song to averse, and today's a song you
probably know.
It talks about the sin.
It talks about the amazinggrace of God.
Are you ready?
Amazing grace, how sweet thesound that saved a wretch like

(01:37):
me.
I once was lost, but now I amfound.
I was blind, but now I see Averse.
All have sinned and fall shortof the glory of God.

(02:00):
Romans 3, 23.
Always in mercer moments inAmerican history, with a quick
reminder yes, I believe, Ibelieve in a place called the
United States of America.
In God we still trust.
I don't care what the worldsays, I don't care what the
media says.
Right here, right here inAmerica, in God we still trust.

(02:23):
Thank you, God bless you.
