Now, when you study all ofMatthew 7, 7, there's a trilogy,
three things involved.
It talks about ask and ye shallreceive, seek and ye will find,
and knock and the door will beopen for you.
All three things seem to cometogether.
Sometimes it's just ask, and ithappens.

You ask and you seek, andsometimes it might require a
third step, an action on yourpart.
If you're like me, sometimesyou pray for an answer and you
seek an answer and then there'sa door there that God wants you
to open and you come and youkind of gently knock on the door
, and then maybe you kind ofpound on the door and then maybe

, in the name of Jesus, ouractions and our words come
together.
I'm from the South.
We talk about.
Do you walk what you talk?
Walk me in your actions.
Do your actions meet your words.
I'll give you the best example Iknow of this is my
father-in-law.
He's Puerto Rican, I call himmi suegro, my father-in-law, and

we were once in a Spanishspeaking church and two men had
gotten up and they were prayingfor a job, which was great,
wonderful.
But then he leaned over and hemade me laugh.
He spoke in my ear.
He said la primera cosa, thefirst thing, you need to have
una aplicación, you need to putin an application.
And I just laughed and I'm notsure what the situation, what he

knew, but he was concerned thatyou're praying about it.
But where's your action?
Where's the door you'reknocking on?
Sometimes in life you do whatyou can do, then you've got to
let God do what only God can do.
Let me say that again you dowhat you can do and then you've
got to let go and let God dowhat only God can do.

It kind of works together youask, you seek and you knock.

It just simply says first askand ye shall receive.
Then seek and ye shall find,then you can knock and that door
