reinvasion, moves with a burningdesire for freedom, joy and
(00:33):
solid living.
She feels the pull to rise, tofly.
She's no longer afraid of herown wings.
Welcome back to the MidlifeButterfly Podcast.
This is your host, Kena Siu.
Thank you for being here onemore time.
This is going to be sweet andshort, and what I want to talk
(01:00):
today about my love is.
It's about the most preciousthing you and I will ever have,
which is not money, it's nottime, it's not even love, it's
simply the present moment.
And yeah, you might be rollingyour eyes and say, oh, yeah,
(01:20):
yeah, I've heard that about youknow, I've heard about that
before, but I want you to staywith me Because it's something
that we forget about it and wetake for granted, Because the
truth is, most people don'tactually live here.
They are running, they arechasing, they are rushing
(01:44):
towards a future that it mighthappen, while at the same time,
you are missing what is alreadyhappening now and now.
We wonder why there is so muchanxiety and depression in the
world.
Much anxiety and depression inthe world?
(02:07):
It's because we are focusing insomething else instead of these
very beautiful present momentthat we have, because the now is
the only moment that we canactually experience.
It's this one.
(02:28):
It's right now that you'relistening to me, it's right now,
this moment that you are havingnow.
It's not tomorrow, not nextyear, not when you finally have
it all together.
It's this moment, right now.
(02:49):
And if you really let yourselfland in here, there is peace,
(03:11):
there is joy, there is abundance.
It's all here.
It's hiding, in plain sight.
But if we keep thinking, overthinking in the future, if
(03:31):
we keep being worried about thepast, we are missing again the
most precious thing.
How much time do you spend justscrolling your phone, you know,
in social media?
How much time do you spend, youknow, thinking about the next
(03:57):
thing?
You achieve something.
You, you know, cross thechecklist and this is done.
And what's next?
Worrying about the future, future that it might never
arrive, because the only momentwe have is now.
Nothing is for granted.
Don't take life for granted, because it can go in a second,
(04:23):
just like this.
And if you are worrying aboutthat future, you know, it's like
being in the most deliciousfeast ever and never tasting a
(04:44):
single bite, because you're toobusy planning what you will eat
tomorrow.
Who cares?
What are you caring abouttomorrow?
And I know what this is becauseI used to live like that.
I used to have a lot of anxietyand worrying about the future,
(05:04):
and the thing is, the worryabout the future is because we
were trying to control it.
Aren't you trying to controlthe future?
The truth is, how much controlabout that do you really have?
What you can really control isyour mind, and if you train your
(05:28):
mind to be in the presentmoment, to be aware or be most
of the time aware of what ishappening right now, that's the
best thing you can ever do.
That's the best thing you canever do.
(05:51):
That's the best thing.
So my invitation for you todayand I know it's challenging it's
something very simple, but Iknow it's challenging because
we'll be programmed to go afterthe next thing and have to get
(06:11):
this and achieve that, andthat's the matrix.
That's the truth.
But what I'm inviting you todayis to stop, to stop and simply
take a breath with me right now, breathing in through the nose,
(06:36):
letting in out through the mouthand just notice Notice your
body, notice the mind how itcomes to a peaceful moment, even
if it's for a second now.
But the more you get topractice this, the more peace
(07:09):
you're going to bring into yourlife, because it doesn't matter
what's happening out there, there's always going to be chaos
, there's always going to bechaos, there's always going to
be excitement, there's alwaysgoing to be sadness, and you
(07:31):
know we live in a dual life.
But the more you get to come tothis present moment, to have
these conscious breaths, themore you'll see how life no,
sorry, how time will expand, because, yes, the more present
(07:53):
you are, time expands.
And you will notice how youranxiety will decrease, because
you will realize that thatanxiety is based on you trying
(08:15):
to control a future that itmight come or not, trying to
control something that you can'treally control.
And the more you are present, the more you will enjoy life,
(08:42):
because life is happening now,it's not happening tomorrow and
(09:02):
it's not happening yesterday, with regrets and shame and
forgiveness that you are notgiving first to yourself and
then to others.
So, after you take a deep breathagain, what is it that you see
around you?
(09:22):
What is it that you can hear, what is it that you can smell,
what is it that you can feel?
Use all your senses.
That's what your body is for, that's what your soul is in this
(09:45):
body, so you can experiencelife with those five senses and
beyond, beyond, and whatever isaround you, whatever is, that's
(10:11):
life.
It doesn't have to be perfectand will never be.
It's about living withequanimity, accepting what is,
understanding that where you areat this very moment is exactly
where you have to be.
So stop rushing, stop chasingand start living this precious
(10:37):
moment that you have, becausethis is the real thing.
When you can be here, you arefree, because the more present
and the more aware you are, because the more present and the
(10:59):
more aware you are, the moreyou get to choose what to
experience in your life.
So, yeah, the most preciousthing you have is not out there,
it's not someday, it's righthere, it's in your hands, it's
(11:25):
in your breath, it's in yourbreath, it's in your heartbeat,
and if you're not enjoying thesevery moments right now, you are
not enjoying your life, you arewasting your life and that's
what you feel like.
You are surviving and notdriving.
(11:48):
So slow down, drop in and tastethe sweetness of this now.
How beautiful is it?
Because life is happening now,not later.
Just right now, not later, justright now, sending you lots of
(12:14):
