14. The Paradox of Belonging: The Long Road Home

I shared at the beginning of 2024 that I was going to go back to Australia, my home country, for the first time in almost five years. The pandemic made going back challenging but when borders opened back up and I still found excuses to not return I realised I was in a pattern of deep avoidance. 

At the same time I had spent several years on a quest to find home but continued finding reasons why every city I spent time in couln’t be “it” for me. 

Enter: Michelle the Medium. 

A Psychic tells me that there is a deep sadness within me because I don’t feel like I really belong anywhere – that I’ve been running, avoiding and resisting a deep healing that needs to happen at home. She tells me that this is one of the last major integration pieces for my soul’s journey in order for me to enter into a family of my own: cultivate a sense of grounded belonging and home.
