Speaker 1 (00:00):
Listen, let's get real about ministry for a moment. We
often paint ministry as this polished, perfect calling, full of inspiration,
applause and anointed moments. But there's a side of ministry
that's raw and real and messy. It's the side where
you lead while bleeding, preach through pain, and serve when
your hard feels shattered. I know what it's like to

(00:20):
stand behind the pulpit holding back tears that threaten to fall,
to smile through exhaustion, when your soul is crying out
for rest, to carry burdens that no one else sees.
But God ministry doesn't just ask for our gifts. It
often asks us to lead in our brokenness. But here's
the gospel truth. God doesn't just use our strengths. He
uses our scars. Your broken pieces are not liabilities. They're

(00:44):
the very things that make your ministry powerful and relatable.
When you show up with your wounds, God meets people
where they are, and your authenticity becomes a lifeline for
someone else. The enemy tries to tell you that brokenness
disqualifies you, but God says it qualifies. It deepens your empathy,
fuels your passion, and demonstrates the power of God's grace

(01:05):
in your life, your story, your pain, your healing journey.
These are not mistakes or distractions. They are ministry. So
if you're feeling cracked, undone, or less than perfect, I
want you to know this. Your brokenness is a sacred
place where God's power flows strongest. Embrace your imperfections, surrender
your pain, and watch God transform your ministry through the

(01:27):
very pieces you thought would hold you back.

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
