Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to my vertical obsession, and today we are talking
about cleaning by my ex's up a brother which is
on real short and it is about Ella Wilson, who
is said to be wolfless, and by the end we
find out that she has suite a powerful wolf, but
she is said to be wolfless, said to be dating
Noah Gravens, who is the beta to his brother's alpha

(00:21):
and who is stringing Ella along this whole time. But
it's his brother Liam, who is the alpha, who really
cares for Ella, and he finds out that Ella is
his mate, but because she is wolfless, he cannot claim
her or he'd be kicked out of the pack and
everyone would turn against him. So it kind of created
this problem of he wanted to be with her, he

(00:43):
wanted to tell her they were mates and that he
cared for her and wanted to spend his life with her,
but he also had his duty to his pack as alpha.
And we also find out that Ella has been in
love with Noah for so long because she thought that
he was the one who saved her when she was
nine after being locked in a closet by bullies, but

(01:04):
it turns out that it was actually Liam saved her.
She just happened to not see him because she had
passed out before she saw Lieb's face, so when she
woke up, Liam was gone and there was Noah, so
she just assumed it was Noah who ended up saving her,
and she has been in love with him since and
was over the moon when he said that they were mates,

(01:25):
but it only turned out that he was stringing her along,
and it was actually a bet with his friends and
other classmates for how long he could string her along.
So when Liam swoops in and is protecting her and
caring for her, she doesn't know how to accept that,
or she doesn't realize that he truly means it, because
she feels like he's doing the same thing that his

(01:47):
brother did and she's just going to get hurt in
the end, even though that Liam tries to tell her
he's not his brother, he cares about her and he
would never do what Noah did, and it takes a
while before she finally accepts and realizes that he is
telling the truth. They are meant to be together, I mean,
there was a small backslide when his ex were said

(02:09):
to be x Sabrina comes back because Noah called her
and there was some pack that if neither of them
found mates by the time I think they turned eighteen,
they would be together, so she tried to prevent him
from being with Ella, mostly because she was wolfless. And
then once Saverna realized that Ella was this powerful wolf,

(02:31):
which is in this one called an Enigmobile, she had
to try and stop them from finally mating and Liam
claiming her because she knew that that would only grow
Ella's powers and make the two of them stronger. So
she'spin this tale that if the Enigmo wilf was to
mate with their fated mate, the Enigmo wolf would kill

(02:52):
the alpha and would be way too powerful, so they
had to stop that before it happened. But Liam, believing
that that was never possible for Ella, that she couldn't
hurt him or wouldn't hurt him, he didn't listen and
still claimed Ella as his Luna, and in the end
he was right because Sabriina's mother came in and said
that Sabrina was lying and told them the true story

(03:16):
of the Aningalo, that the Enigma wolf was taken away
from their maid, they'd become powerful and murderous versus if
they are claimed and with their maid they become powerful
together and this strong force. One of the things that
I really noticed with this particular series versus other series,
which I don't always notice this, but I think because

(03:38):
it was just so prominent with the color scheme was
how each character was colored. Because Ella Wilson had blue on,
which was one of the things that was part of
the enigma. Wolf was like a blue tint and a
blue color, So I think they kept with that show
who she was without really saying it, so that way,

(04:00):
when you did find out she was the enigmo, you're like, Okay,
well that kind of makes sense because they were hinting
at this the whole time with her in the blue
dresses throughout the series. The same with when we were
introduced to Sabrina, she had a lot of red, and
I know the uniforms were red and white, but she
also had red outside uniforms and at the end her

(04:22):
dress was red. I feel it helped kind of show
her as the villain for this. The same with Ava,
they had green on a lot of the time, especially
during the first dance she was in a green dress.
He was in a green shirt as very prominent and
very kind of bold and stood out the fact that

(04:43):
they were green, and Noah also always had a green
sweater on throughout, so I think that along with the
red pants that he would wear for the uniform, it
kind of showed how he was transitioning from like the
bully with Ava to the villain with Sabrina, because he
was the one who brought Sabrina back. He was the

(05:04):
one who was plotting with Brina all that to try
and stop Liam and Ella from meeting and from Liam
claiming Ella. So we think that even though you saw
them mostly in school uniforms, outside of that, you could
definitely tell that they put them in specific colors for
a reason. And it's not something that I've noticed in

(05:26):
the past, and I know sometimes directors and I think
it's the directors who are mostly behind the creative design
of how the costumes work. They want them in a
specific way, so that way it kind of tells the
story and it kind of shows different characters in a
different way. And color scheming is a big one because

(05:48):
it helps kind of show the character. So like you
have Ella and it's saved for her with the blue,
it's like innocent, sweet, kind, loyal, and these are all
things that I feel like blue kind of represents where
you have red. It's more darker, evil villainy type colors.
So that worked well for Sabrina when she was introduced,

(06:10):
and I really kind of liked, like I said, how
prominent it was and how you could see that within
this one the series, and I may have to kind
of like pay attention to that a little bit more
going forward, because it's always fun to see that when
you're watching something, especially after the fact, if you didn't
see it the first time, and then you see an

(06:31):
interview or someone mentions it and you go, oh, well,
we did these specific outfits and coloring for a reason,
and go back and you go, oh, okay, now that
makes sense. It's not usually something that you first notice.
But again, I think because the colors were just so
bold and so right there that you could see how
they really defied the characters and represented the characters that

(06:55):
were in the series. Like I said, I liked that
they did that, and I like that you could you
could see that. That was fun to watch and kind
of follow because I did. I paid attention to that
because I know when I was first watching, at the
scene where Noah is not teasing, but telling Ella how
it's like, oh, I never wanted to be with you,

(07:16):
and I didn't want you as my mate. It was
just a bet I want to be with Ava. It
really stood out to me that Ava and Noah were
both in green, and I was like, that's that's very
interesting that they're both in green, whereas Ella's in blue,
which is a very different color than Noah. Because they
were supposed to be going together, and I guess at first,

(07:36):
I think I was going with Oh, well, they were
showing it like he was never going to go with Ella,
but since he's going with Ava, he went to match her.
And that's kind of where it started. And then as
it kept going, I just kind of slowly noticed it's like,
oh wait, each person kind of has their own color scheme.
And again Ella showed up and blew again, especially at

(07:59):
the very end. She was in this really gorgeous blue
butterfly dress. Loved that was gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous. And also
when we first kind of saw the wolf, you saw
that it was like this blueish, like bluish color, and
so when you saw the last dress and she was
in the blue, it's like, I think that has to

(08:19):
do with that fact that she's the Enigma wolf that's
a bluish tint, because most of the time when they
do wolves in these series, it's usually you know, like, oh,
it's a white wolf, it's a very powerful white wolf,
which they didn't really do that. It was more the enigma,
but just the aura and like the tint around her

(08:40):
and her eyes were blue, so that's where I kind
of got with the you know, the blue. So again,
it was something that I probably will have to kind
of like follow to see if any other stories kind
of do that. Do they follow color schemes or was
it this particular director who did that for this one?
And that's kind of something that I to start kind

(09:01):
of following, seeing which directors direct which shorts and if
they continue like some of the things, not things, but
if they continue to do certain things throughout all their
different shorts. So like for this one, if the director
did this whole color scheme, do they follow that and
other shorts that they direct type of thing, So I

(09:23):
might start looking into that and seeing how that works
some of the other things. Definitely, I loved how even
though Liam was told that you know, he would have
to try and stop Ella because she might kill him.
He still refused to believe it because he cared about
her so much and he saw that good in her,
that this could never be something that she could do.

(09:43):
He didn't want to believe it at all, And part
of me thought that he might listen to Sabrina and
choose her when it came to like the coordination and
crowning him Alpha and telling everyone who is Luna was.
But I was so very happy that he ended up
calling up Ella and naming her as his Luna because
it showed how much he believed in Ella and that

(10:07):
she could never do this, that he believed she was
this good and that she would never kill him, and
even if she did, or even if this powerful wolf
came about, like Sabrina said that he was just going
to take it as it happened and see because that's
how much he loved Ella, that he wasn't going to
break her heart, because that's one of the things that

(10:27):
he kept saying, was he wasn't going to break her heart.
He wasn't like his brother. He was never going to
be with Sabrina, especially since you know, Ella had seen
Sabrina put him under his bell. So he ended up
kissing her, and Ella thought that, oh, he's getting back
together with her. I never had this chance, but he
was adamant that that was never going to happen. So
it was very nice to see him reinforce that at

(10:50):
the coordination by picking her and not listening to what
Sabrina said because he also believed she was lying, which
proved to be true, that she was not the whole
truth that she told part of it, but flipped it
so that way made it seem like it was worse
than it was. And when it came to Ella, there
were times that I kind of wanted to just like

(11:12):
mack her upside the head and be like, listen to Liam.
He is telling you all this. He has protected you,
he's doing all these amazing things, and he's trying to
prove to you that he is nothing like his brother,
and you just won't accept that. And at the same time,
I'm like, I get her hesitation because Noah had strung
her along so long and he had hurt her, he

(11:33):
had rejected her. She thought she was never going to
find another mate because she was rejected by Noah, so
she truly believed all these bad things could happen again.
Because why would an alpha like Liam want to be
with her and she didn't want to get her hopes
up for him to say all these things and do
all these amazing things only to turn around and rip

(11:54):
out her heart yet again. So I get that whole
trauma and hesitation to trust Liam, but my brain is
also like wanting to smack her too and be like,
listen to him, trust him. He's proved it time and
time again Versus Noah, who you know, when she was
in trouble being bullied by Ava, he just walked away,

(12:16):
versus Liam who stepped up and helped her. So it
was like little things like that that showed that he
was different than Noah. But like I said, I get
that her hesitation comes from being rejected and humiliated and
hurt from what Noah did, So I do understand her
logic and her reasoning, especially since every single time she

(12:38):
let herself feel with him, something happened and she watched
as he pulled away or didn't say something. And that
also sem from her being wolfless and him not being
able to claim her type of deal too, So there
was that in there as well. This was definitely another
series that I really enjoyed. I really loved the two

(12:59):
main actors, Savannah and Blake. I thought they've played off
each other very well and happened to enjoy Savannah's characters
because she plays a lot of the innocent type characters
and I think she does a really good job playing that.
And for this one, she went from playing this like
NII innocent timid Curl to slowly coming into herself and

(13:23):
being strong and kind of taking no shit type of deal.
So she she really kind of grew in this. Ella Wilson,
the character of Ella Wilson, she really grew throughout this,
and I think it was very much with the help
of Liam and his belief in her that she isn't
a nobody, that she is someone special and that love

(13:45):
that he wants to give her, and I think that
helped show her that she is powerful. She may not
have a wolf at this time, but that doesn't mean
she needs to listen to what other people have to say,
especially Ava, who likes to tease her and make her
feel worthless and that no one would ever want her.
So she very much came into her own and I

(14:06):
think it also helped with the bringing on the wolf.
In the end, and yeah, I know it's mentioned that,
you know, the finding your mate, your wuntry mate could
also awaken the wolf, but I think it was a
combination of the both. That she finally stood her ground,
stood up to Ava and Noah, and I think it
helped bring her confidence and it helped let her accept

(14:26):
how things are, which helped her also accept and realized
that Liam did want her and he would take care
of her, and that brought on the wolf. So like,
little things like that made me really kind of like
this character of Ella, and especially I said, Savannah's portrayal
of Ella, because from this little timid, naive girl to

(14:48):
this strong and powerful woman who stands up and cares
for the people she loves and will protect them and
won't take shit anymore, it really kind of like that.
Do know that this was one that I've been waiting
for to drop because when I saw it, was waiting
for the trailer to drop so I could see it
because it looked very interesting when reading the description and

(15:11):
was like, oh, okay. I especially kind of really enjoy
the werewolf fantasy stories that the shorts and the drama
series put out because you don't really see a lot
of them like this in fiction or in like TV
or movies, and I know there are plenty out there,
but I kind of like the the daily dose of
these ones because you get this like little little story

(15:34):
and it just gives you just enough of that werewolf
series that you don't have to sit there watching this
long movie of you just don't have to, like watch
a long series or long movie that doesn't give you
a lot but also kind of sticks to more human
based storytelling when it comes to the werewolf genre. I
feel maybe I'm just not watching or seeing the things

(15:58):
out there, because I mean, I know there are there
are ones out there, like you know, some of the
werewolf series I know that are out there, you know,
like teen Wolf, Buffy Head, were Wolves, Twilight, Vampire Diaries,
the Originals, those all have were wolves part of them,
but I feel like they have different types of lore
when it comes to were wolves, and those ones go

(16:19):
a little bit longer, whereas these ones just feel a
little bit more fun and a little bit more fantasy.
And I just I really really enjoy these ones for
just like a quick little were wolf story. I know
that may not have made the sense that I was
going for, so but yeah, I said, one of the
types of stories I do love with these series drama

(16:41):
short series are definitely like the were wolf based ones.
Those are always so fun to watch because it's always
interesting to how they go about telling the story and
what they put in as a wolf story because there's
always different things that get added. Some of the times
they're the same type. Other times there's new things added

(17:02):
or prophecies added and stuff like that. So it's kind
of like interesting to see what twists and what new
information they put out with these werewolf series. So that
was just a little bit of my thoughts and kind
of just talking about Real Shorts claimed by my ex's
Alpha brother. Like I said, I really enjoyed this one.
This was really cute. It was really a fun one

(17:24):
to watch and enjoy. Thought the cast was really good.
I loved Savannah as Ella Blake, who played Liam. I
had to actually like look him up to be like, wait,
I know, I feel like I've seen him before, and
I was actually surprised that he hasn't done as many.
But there was another one from Real Short that he did,

(17:45):
which was another werewolf series, and I looked at it
forget it something about a virgin mute ride thing to
look at again, but I do know that I did
watch that one and I may have to go back
and watch it again just to see him in it
in another series, because I did enjoy him in this
one and hope they'll be more in the future. And

(18:05):
he is Shane who played Noah, and I know he's
been in a bunch. I feel like he plays the
villain in more. And sometimes I want to see the
ones who play the villain play the lead, just to
see them get a happy story, because it's always the
villains that get kicked to the curb or get put
in jail or end up. I won't say dead, because

(18:26):
I don't think they really kill people in some of these.
They actually might and a couple of them, but I
know it would be fun to see some of the
villains be the lead and the heart throb. But it
also might be one of those things that they like
playing the villain more. You never know, because there are
some actors who enjoy playing the bad guy more than

(18:46):
they like playing like the lead or the love interests,
So you never know with some actors. But I do
enjoy when he's on a series because, like I said,
I know I've seen him in a bunch of different ones.
But that is my review, as I said, or rather
my thoughts and kind of like discussing it a little bit.
But and this was real shorts claimed by my ex's

(19:09):
off a brother. I would definitely give it in nine
out of ten, probably would recommend it to people to
watch because it was really cute and I enjoyed it,
like I said, And yeah, so that's all I have
and I look forward to discussing the next one. So
until next time,
