Speaker 1 (00:04):
Hello night lounge listeners. I'm your host Niini, serving you
a fresh platter of dark humor and adventure. In today's episode,
we're back with the second and third part of our tale,
Swiping Left on Love, featuring our protagonist Marcus and his
roller coaster ride in the Game of Love. Pour yourself
a drink, sit back in your comfiest chair, and let's

(00:25):
plunge into the world of dating dilemmas, self discovery, and
surprising connections. Our story continues from where we left off
with Marcus pondering over his biggest relationship blunder. There's nothing
quite like the taste of regret lingering after a failed relationship,
isn't it. Marcus certainly felt that as he let golden

(00:46):
memories of Devon haunt him against the backdrop of a
dimly lit bar. This self imposed torment continued until one
day he saw Devon's face pop up in his dating
app in the best form. It was hope, it was fear.
It was an intense adrenaline rush for Marcus, but alas
it was met with silence, a silence that seemed to

(01:07):
last an eternity. We've all been there, haven't we, Sending
a message and waiting for the response that never comes.
Instead of drowning and self pity, Marcus decided to bravely
confront the issues that he believes were sabotaging his love life.
Kissing goodbye to his bad breath and stutter. He adopted
a new diet, learnt mindfulness techniques, stepped up his oral

(01:29):
hygiene game, and joined a support group. Refreshingly, his efforts
bore fruit, bringing a newfound confidence and resulting in matches
on his dating app. But wait, none of his new
matches seemed quite like Devon profound right. I bet you
can almost hear a gasp as Marcus stumbled upon a
photo of Devon smiling, glowing, and holding hands with someone else. Yep,

(01:55):
our man was down and out again, realizing Devon had
moved on. Will Marcus be able to bounce back from
this blow or continue to dwell on his past mistakes.
Only time knows, But who knew the universe had other plans.
Marcus decided to shuffle the cards once again, working on
his health, continuing speech therapy and even consulting a therapist

(02:15):
for the first time in his life, and then under
the most nondescript circumstances. Over coffee at a local cafe,
he collided into Jordan quite literally. A casual conversation morphed
into an hour long chat, providing a much needed glimmer
of hope for our dear Marcus. Things moved slowly this time.

(02:36):
Weeks of conversations happened before Marcus and Jordan planned their
first date. It was different. Marcus wasn't pretending to be
someone else, but was being himself. Jordan, being the sweetheart,
didn't mind Marcus's stutter. He was patients personified, asking Marcus
to take his time. Weeks turned into months, and Marcus

(02:56):
found himself drawn to Jordan. Although the past continued to
ghost in the form of Devon, Marcus was no longer
bound by it. There was a message from Devon one day,
an innocent hope you're doing well, and Marcus, for the
first time in a long while, believed he was indeed
doing well. Is it the end of Marcus's journey or
is there an unexpected twist awaiting us? Tune in next

(03:19):
