Hi Everyone! We're Keenan and Emily! A young couple exploring the life of being off grid and living as self sufficiently as possible.. along with just being normal human beings that were born and raised in the amazing state of Maine Throughout this podcast journey we will touch on off grid life, hunting, fishing, cooking, and just personal life struggles, battles and wins. We hope you enjoy listening to our babbling talks, disagreements, and the guests we choose to bring on this show that share many similarities with us! Off Gritters came to me when I was on the phone with Keenan and we were talking about the power outage my parents were dealing with. I randomly said to him “off gridders are always prepared for power outages” being snarky and comical and the “phrase” kinda stuck in my head for a while… I then started listening to the way I was saying it and realize gritters would be a cool way to show case our podcast that we’ve been dreaming up.. Grit and determination is something we’ve had to have during the last 5 years together, and in true podcast fashion I just added onto the word to make it sound cooler.. Off Gritters.. living and striving for self sufficiency and to continue having grit, digging deep and holding onto the dreams we’ve thought up in our minds..
