Alberta is the bedrock of Canada’s oil and gas industry; however, it feels inadequately represented by the federal government. So why hasn’t Alberta left Canada already? What keeps it here? Does believing in a future where all Canadian provinces got along and leveraged equitably their resources to become an international power just utopia? Or is Canada doomed to perpetual internal fighting?
