MDP Syndrome & Me with Dylan Lombard

In episode 2 of Own Your Journey Jack is joined by Dylan Lombard, a 19 year old living in Glasgow, Scotland, with his family. Dylan however isn't an average 19 year old, he's an incredibly unique individual with a huge story to tell, and what a journey he's been on so far in life. At the age of 10 Dylan was diagnosed with MDP syndrome, which stands for Mandibular Dysplasia with Deafness and Progeroid Features. MDP syndrome is an extremely rare metabolic disorder which prevents fatty tissue from being stored underneath the skin. Before his diagnosis Dylan and his family tried countless times to get a diagnosis, but due to the rare nature, baffled doctors struggled to understand what was happening to Dylan, which also resulted in him loosing his hearing. Now, Dylan is a disability advocate, content creator, photographer, dancer, and a wonderful human with the most amazing energy. During the conversation Dylan delves into his journey, from diagnosis to his key passions that help him to feel positive. This is an episode that is guaranteed to leave a lasting impact.
