has carried out another strike on a suspected drug smuggling
vessel in the Eastern Pacific, killing four men aboard. Southern
Command confirmed the December fourth operation as a lethal kinetic
strike against a vessel Tide to Venezuela's Trenda Aragua cartel

officials say the boat was operating in international waters along
a known narco trafficking route. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseeth defended
the strike, saying commanders are making judgment calls in difficult
situations and that deterrence, not arrests, is the goal. He
emphasized that the mission is about stopping narcotics before they
poison American communities. But Democrats are raging, blasting the strikes

as unlawful, extra judicial killings. Lawmakers demanded answers on weather
survivors were targeted in follow up attacks, and questioned the
administration's legal authority for sinking boats without trial. This marks
the twenty second strikes in September, part of President Trump's
