Behind The Store: Mailboxes Part 2

Ever wondered what happens behind the locked doors of a private mailbox? In this deep-dive exploration, we uncover the substantial differences between ParcelPedia's private mailboxes and standard PO boxes that could transform how you handle your mail and packages.

Unlike traditional post office boxes that only accept USPS deliveries, our private mailboxes provide you with a legitimate street address that receives packages from all carriers - DHL, UPS, FedEx, and more. For business owners, this means establishing a professional physical location that appears on Google Maps, validates your business for customers, and creates legitimacy without the overhead of a dedicated office space.

The benefits extend far beyond just receiving mail. Our service includes automatic notifications when mail or packages arrive, curbside delivery options, mail checks when you're traveling, and strict confidentiality that protects your information from competitors, unauthorized individuals, or prying eyes. As James puts it, "We're like a brick wall" when it comes to protecting your privacy. With 24/7 access to your mailbox, you'll never again need to rush or adjust your schedule to retrieve important deliveries.

What customers love most is the peace of mind. No more porch pirates, no more missed deliveries, no more junk mail flooding your personal residence. Our private mailboxes give you complete control over who has your address while providing comprehensive service that often goes beyond our contractual obligations. Whether you're running a business or simply value your privacy and convenience, a private mailbox at ParcelPedia offers solutions you won't find with standard mail services.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
In part two of our mailbox series, we go beyond the
basics to explore howParcelpedia's private mailboxes
offer more than just a place toget your mail.
Welcome back everyone.
I'm Sofia Yvette, co-host andproducer.
Back in the studio today withowner of Parcelpedia, james
Banks.
James, how are you today?

Speaker 3 (00:52):
Hey Sofia, I'm doing very well today.
How are you?

Speaker 2 (00:56):
I'm also doing well.
Now ready to unlock moresecrets behind Parcelpedia's
doors, let's go Behind storemailboxes.
Part two Take it away, James.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
All righty, let's get right into it.
We've talked about this subjectbefore mailboxes.
I did wanna go a little bitmore in depth as far as how the
process works, how wedifferentiate from like a post
office box, as far as all thatwe have to offer and what you
get out of it as a customer.
So some of the things that Iwould love to just make known as

(01:29):
almost just a fact for allhopefully, if you hear this
podcast, it'll stick with youand you'll remember it is that
our mailboxes are what'sconsidered a private mailbox or
a PMB, and with that we are alittle bit different than a PO
box.
The main difference is a PO boxis strictly a post office box,
so post office and that's it.

(01:50):
So USPS mail, usps packages, and that's where it stops.
We have private mailboxes whichgive you a street address and
they also allow you to establisha business with the address.
They allow you to receive mailoutside of the post office,
including internationaldocuments, and they also allow
you to establish a physicallocation for things like Google

(02:12):
Maps, google Reviews and otherthings for your business.
So some of the things that we'dlike to explain to customers as
far as the advantage to pickinga mailbox with us, the
Parsipedia, versus the USPS oranywhere else, is that we're a
full service mailbox.
So as soon as you sign thecontract for the mailbox it
comes with everything.
You don't have to check off anyextra bells and whistles, it's
just automatic.

(02:32):
So some of those things thatincludes is mail notification.
It's package notification.
We've done package deliveries.
We do curbside delivery of yourmail and packages.
We also do mail checks.
You can be in Singapore, callus up and say, hey, I need to
know what's in my mailbox andwe'll tell you right then and
there and again, with theability to receive mail and
packages from all the carrierswhich already come here to

(02:56):
Parsipedia, that being DHL, ups, fedex, lone Star, overnight,
any of these carriers.
We notify you and you do nothave to shift around or change
things to accommodate the boxthat you're in.
You can just order like youwould anywhere else.
And some of the more importantdetails of the mailbox is that,
with it being private, it's notjust in the name.

(03:17):
That is part of the mailboxconfidential agreement that you
will have.
It is strictly, strictly,strictly confidential.
So nobody other than themailbox owner who signed it up
or the people that they put asauthorized you know, pickup or
authorized users on the box, notonly can they not access the
box, they cannot even accessinformation on the box.
So if you have like acompetitor or you know, maybe a

(03:40):
disgruntled employee or angry exyou know, I don't know what's
going on with their lives butsomeone coming in and just
trying to scrounge upinformation, we're like a brick
wall.
I don't know who you're talkingabout.
I don't know what you'retalking about.
They will not be able to getthe information.
The only two people that canget that information that are
the mailbox opener, the personthat opened the mailbox, and the

(04:00):
postal inspector.
So they have a badge, they areofficial officer of the law and
so we can't tell them though wehave to let them in, but that is
very rare.
And if they're coming to lookfor your box, you probably got
other worries on your hands thanjust parcel media.
But it is very, very good tohave a box because it's a peace
of mind.
You don't have to worry aboutporch pirates when you're

(04:21):
ordering boxes.
You don't have to worry aboutmissing documents because of the
address.
It's just.
It has a lot of benefits to it.
One of our customers, or someof our customers would.
I would say some of thetestimonies as far as why they
like PartsB so much because theyget that notification of a
package or their mail and itjust helps them with their day.
It's like you're thinking, oh,I need to stop by the mailbox, I
need to stop by the mailbox, Ineed to stop by the mailbox, I

(04:42):
need to make sure, squeeze it in, maybe on my lunch break or
after work.
And then you get an email fromParsifida.
Hey, so far, you know, in yourmailbox is A, b and C for the
day.
And you're like, oh, I waswaiting on so-and-so to come in
and it didn't come.
So I know now I don't have totake that trip.
Thank you, parsifida.
You know, thanks for thatnotification and that's not, you
know, a juggling game as far asyour schedule, trying to find

(05:04):
time to get over here.
You'd come when you need tobecause you know it's there and
you have 24-7 access.
That's another benefit of themailboxes here at Parcelpedia
Anyone with a mailbox you haveaccess to your mailbox 24-7.
So Christmas Day, middle of thenight, it doesn't matter, you
can get to your mailbox andcheck your mail.
So really, any other thing thatwe can offer that will benefit

(05:26):
you, even if it's not strictlywritten in the contract.
We'll probably do that too.
We've done so many things, fromdriving down to the bank and
literally cashing not cashingbut depositing people's checks
for them while they're out ofthe state on vacation.
But they, you know it'simportant, it's a business check
.
They need it done, we do it andit's not a.
They don't come back with aninvoice on their, you know, in
their box and oh, you got to payus now for doing this.

(05:47):
It's just part of the customerservice that we like to offer.
So having a mailbox here opensup so many opportunities, even
if you don't have a smallbusiness.
It to have, just so you havethat separate address that you
can send things to, that you cancontrol, Because I know at home
, once you have a home addressor apartment address, you're
listed publicly and you're goingto get blasted with a junk mail

(06:09):
left and right.
No matter who you subscribe toor don't subscribe to or
unsubscribe from, you're stillgoing to get blasted junk mail.
Having a mailbox here.
It allows you to only give youraddress to those who need it,
right, only on a need to knowbasis.
If I need this vendor or thisclient to have my address, I'll
give it to them.
Otherwise, no one knows youhave that address, it's
confidential and it's yours.
So just a few of the benefits.

(06:30):
I could probably talk on and onuntil your ears are bleeding.
I'm not going to do that to youtoday, but just know that if
you come if you just come forinquiries, we'll tell you all
about it up and down, how itworks.
We'll give you an application, just so there's nothing left to
question or worry about, becausewe're here to help and I think
that we offer a great solutionto businesses and just private
use for the mailboxes so finalquestion for you today, james

(06:56):
why wouldn't someone want aprivate mailbox?
They love junk mail.
You know they'd make an origamiout of those Costco magazines,
or they're, you know, takingthose big old Uline phone books
and just whacking bugs left andright.
That's only two things thatcome to mind off the bat.
But I'm not sure.
I'm not sure.
I feel like we have so manyways to solve problems and help

(07:17):
them that it's a no brainer.
But of course it's just per use, you know, or per need.
So if you don't need it, I'mnot going to try to force you to
get one, but if you're in theneed or if you're in the market,
we're a great, greatopportunity for you amazing.
Any final words for us today, james, on mailboxes, yes, if
you're looking, if you're in themarket for a mailbox, at the

(07:39):
very least give us a call and wewill show you why it's worth it
doing it with Parcelpediaappreciate the peek behind the
mailboxes, james.

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
