How are you?
Speaker 2 (00:59):
I'm also doing well
Now, james.
Today we're shifting gears frompackages to promotion.
Let's talk marketing magic thatevery local business owner
should know.
What are the different types ofmarketing tools?
Parcelpedia offers for businessowners and tell us about
guerrilla marketing, industryspecific marketing and marketing
(01:22):
101 for businesses.
Speaker 3 (01:24):
OK, sure thing.
Yeah, that's definitely a lotof information.
Try to get on that and coverthat for you.
100% Parcelpedia.
We're here to help businessesand one of those ways, like you
said, is marketing.
Obviously, with us being amailing, printing and shipping
shop, one of those first thingsthat come to mind is through the
print materials that we have tooffer.
So I'll just kind of ramble offa list, but it's not everything
(01:44):
.
We have a lot more, but if Isaid them all I'd probably run
out of airtime, so I'm justgoing to go through a few things
.
We do offer flyers.
We have brochures, businesscards, posters, backdrops,
banners, door knockers, just soeveryone knows those are things
they put on the doorknob.
Don't see those too oftenanymore, but those are still
around.
We have the postcards, windowstickers, you know, for your
storefronts.
We do window stickers forvehicles, as well as automobile
(02:06):
magnets that you see on the sideof cars and trucks for small
businesses.
Really, a whole, a whole hostof things like much more than
that, but that's some of themore common things.
You see.
We do acrylic, differentmaterials like gator foam,
vicious.
It's a lot.
It's a very long list.
So typically, if it's somethingthat you need to do.
We can help you with it.
That's obviously one of thefirst ways we can help people
(02:27):
with marketing is just gettingyour name out there, spreading
your name for people to see, butit's not the only way.
So we have spoken before onthis podcast previously about
EDDM, which is, of course, everyDoor Direct Mailing.
That is something that is hugein the marketing world because
you are reaching so many peopleon the I won't say the back, but
using the infrastructure of theUnited States Postal Service,
(02:47):
which we know has beenestablished and around for a
very long time.
So it's great.
You hit doors that you know youneed to hit in certain zip
codes that you know you need tohit and with that you open
people's eyes and you let them, you introduce them to your
company and so all your other.
Now your other marketingstrategies will now come to fold
and work even better becausepeople are looking out for you
now.
So some of the ways that you canuse these marketing materials
(03:09):
are very beneficial.
If you're going to, like, say,a community event and you have
your van there posted up, parkedby your table, having that big
magnetic sticker on your vanwith your company, your
information, a QR code to yourwebsite.
I mean all those things are sohelpful because you may have
people that you're engaging withat the time.
You can't talk to everybody atonce, but you have something
(03:31):
that people can engage withquickly and can see your brand.
I mean it just helps you, youknow, increase those numbers of
people coming across yourcompany.
So it's not all about justshooting stuff to people, it's
about visibility.
It's huge.
So that's why, you know, weoffer so many different printed
materials because, whatever theoccasion may be, if you need key
chains, if you need hugs,t-shirts, hats, we can provide
(03:52):
those for you.
That way it fits your specificindustry and that was, I know,
one of the things you mentioned.
She was industry specificmarketing.
So that is huge too.
If you are in the industry whereyour main thing is a
face-to-face work or you workwith your hands, you're probably
not too worried about sendingsomeone to a website, right?
You want them to see your work.
You want them to see and feeland be able to see yourself.
(04:14):
So part of that may be mailingout samples.
You know where people can seewhat you do, what you create,
what you make, or be able tofeel if it's like a painting or
if it's a sculpture, somethingof that nature.
You want to be able to engagewith customers on the level that
you would want to work withthem on.
You know that makes sense toyour company.
So we love to keep an open mind.
(04:34):
If you come up with somethingthat you may have never heard of
anyone doing or haven't hadanyone be able to help you with,
we may look into doing that andmaybe something we create,
maybe a new type of thing thatwe can help you with, something
we've never done before, becausewe're just looking for ways to
help businesses.
So the marketing is such anopen book as far as how to reach
people.
I hate to define it or box itinto anything, because it really
(05:03):
can be anything.
I know you mentioned guerrillamarketing earlier, which is just
, you know, a big broad, sometimes a big spectacle that
comes out of nowhere.
You know you show up to a tradefair thinking you're there for
just pens, pencils, binders, stationery, and it turns out you
come to a table and they tellyou oh yeah, everything here was
3D printed.
You're like what Blown away?
And now you know about 3Dprinting gets you into another
field, another industry, andit's just one of those ways
(05:24):
where you can present yourcompany in a way that's almost
two ways in one, so you'reproviding the service that they
need and also a new way topresent that service that
they've never, never done before.
Another way you said wasmarketing one-on-one.
I mean, those are like thebasics.
You know, reach as many peopleas you can for as low cost as
you can.
But also you know you're notreaching people just to reach
(05:44):
them.
You're reaching them so thatyou get engagement.
That's why I always recommend aQR code, a discount code,
something on those materials sothat you get engagement.
Because it's great.
People know what you do and knowwho you are and have your phone
number, but if they don't doanything with it, it doesn't
help your business.
So, engaging, getting people toengage, maybe giving them the
freebie, that's always great.
Those are some of the smalltips.
I'm here at Parsipede.
(06:06):
I don't want to become somesmall business guru.
I don't want people to feelthat way, but definitely from
the experience and from pastcompanies that have come and had
a great success, I candefinitely tell you those are
small things that help and I ama firm believer if you get in
front of someone and are able toshow them what you can do.
You know what you have to offer.
If the service is good, thepeople will come.
You know the people will keepusing you.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
Most definitely.
Any final words for us today,James, on how to market your
business better with Parcelpedia.
Speaker 3 (06:37):
You know, learn to
customer, see what works.
One of the things that's greatabout us is if you do anything
with us, we have that record.
So you say, you know what?
I have this flyer that Iprinted to you guys.
It was like a year ago.
Can you look that up for me?
Pull it up in the file?
Yeah, I saw that you want to dothat again.
Sure, yeah, that that one gaveme the most, you know, feedback,
no problem, hey, I shipped outto this guy I can't remember his
(06:58):
name.
It was sometime we pull it up,boom, got the record.
There it is.
We just take that burden off,you know, and it's able to,
where you can re-engage withcustomers that you know were
happy in the past, and you canre-engage with them, which is
great.
And repeat customers is alwaysgreat because you come, got your
usual.
Hey, you know, I'm mailing tomy guy, that's all I have to say
.
And we know who it is.
We have it ready to go, labelon and just speeds up everything
(07:20):
.
So it's great.
I mean we, we love to helpcustomers start and grow their
small businesses in any way wecan, so it's always cool to see
them grow too.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
Wow, james, those
tips today were definitely
packed with purpose andseriously practical.
