What Are the Ins and Outs of Mobile Notary Services at ParcelPedia?

Ever found yourself needing a document notarized but unable to break away from work, stuck at home without transportation, or even confined to a hospital bed? ParcelPedia's mobile notary service might be the solution you never knew you needed.

James Banks, owner of ParcelPedia in Frisco, Texas, pulls back the curtain on one of their most valuable yet underutilized services. Available Monday through Friday from 12-4pm, their mobile notary brings all the necessary supplies directly to your location—whether that's your office, home, or hospital room. With just 24 hours' notice, their professional notaries can accommodate most scheduling needs throughout the Frisco area.

The service has proven particularly valuable for medical situations where patients are physically unable to travel, professionals whose packed schedules don't allow for errands, and individuals with transportation limitations. As James explains, "If you feel like, 'I can't find a notary right now, I can't get to the store,' don't feel that way. Give us a call and we may be able to help you get it all knocked out without you having to worry about finding a ride."

Pricing remains straightforward with the standard $10 Texas notary fee plus a variable travel fee based on your distance from their Preston Road location. The entire process typically takes just 5-10 minutes, with the same security and privacy standards you'd expect from an in-store notarization. All documents remain in your possession throughout the process, with notaries verifying your identity and certifying your signatures on the spot.

Ready to save time and hassle on your next notarization? Call ParcelPedia at 972-335-1450 to schedule your mobile notary appointment, and don't forget to mention this podcast for 10% off select shipping services when you visit their store.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
Hey Sophia, I'm doing well today.
How are you?

Speaker 2 (01:03):
I'm also doing well and it's great to have you back
on Now today.
I know we're discussing one ofParcelpedia's most underrated
services Mobile Notary theultimate time saver, james, can
you shed some light on the insand outs of Mobile Notary
services at Parcelpedia?

Speaker 3 (01:22):
Definitely, as it sounds, mobile notary is getting
a notary service, but mobile toyou.
What we like to do is letpeople know that we do offer
mobile notary services.
We offer them set time duringthe day.
I do want to get that out ofthe way, just so everyone knows.
It's between 12 and 4 pm in theday, monday through Friday, and
we don't offer on Saturdays,unfortunately.
But we're working on that.
But right now it is Mondaythrough Friday, 12 to 4 pm.

(01:45):
All we do ask is that you docall in to set up the
appointment because obviously wehave to travel to you so we
have to incorporate that time tomake sure that we can fit the
schedule.
But the way it works is justlike any notary service.
So you just call you, let usknow when you need the service.
We try to stay away from sameday.
If you're close enough where wecan make it happen, we will
definitely try.
But we normally ask for just a24-hour window.
So just let us know the daybefore and we'll come out to you

(02:07):
at the appointed time.
We'll bring all the notarysupplies, including pin, the pad
, everything to sign on.
So all you need is just yourperson, your identification,
like any typical notary and aform of payment.
We can do a payment over thephone, so we can do it when we
get back to the store.
We don't necessarily need totake cash from you or anything
like that.
We can always handle that withyou at the point in time.
But it's very simple you let usknow where you are when you

(02:30):
need us.
One of our notaries will cometo you, provide the notary
service just like any notary, whether it's done here or
anywhere else, and then you'llbe all set.
You'll have your documentsnotarized and in hand that same
day, and it's very quick.
Notary services typically takeonly about five to 10 minutes
process, all depending on whatyou're getting done.
And the notary fees itself isno different from in-house

(02:50):
because the notary fees will beconsistent.
At the $10 Texas state fee, there is a mobile fee that would
be based upon your distance.
If you ride down the street, obviously it'd be a little bit
better than if you're pushingcity borders and that not.
So we definitely like to try toaccommodate all parties if we
can.
That's why we just asked forthat hour, that 24 hour window
of notice, just so we canschedule and accommodate you.

(03:12):
I don't think in my historyhere we've ever had to turn away
a mobile notary.
We've always been able to makeit happen.
So I'm pretty confident that wecan do that for you.
But just one of those thingsthat if you can leave the office
, if you're at the hospital,I've had to do one of those.
If you are doing it for maybe afamily member, a member who is
handicapped, it's harder forthem to get around.

(03:32):
This transportation is not soeasy.
That's another reason why Iwill do it.
It's very convenient.
So definitely if you're tryingto save time.
If you don't havetransportation, you may not
drive.
You don't have a vehicle atyour disposal.
It's a huge.
It's something that just takesoff a lot of weight because it's
something that normally wouldtake you a lot of work and
effort to get done.
A lot of times, a lot of thesebanks unfortunately, they don't

(03:54):
do notary anymore.
They typically only do it foryou if you're a what do you call
it a member of their bank, andB if it's a document that they
actually provided themselves, and also a lot of other stores
that offer notaries.
They only have notariesavailable during certain hours
In-house.
We're notaries available at alltimes If our doors are open, a
notary is available, and then,of course, in just a little bit
shorter hours, 12 to four we dohave that mobile service which,

(04:20):
again, if you call ahead, we canfigure out a schedule we can
maybe be able to as an aid toyou.
If you feel like, oh, I can getthis all done, but I can't find
a notary right now, I can't getto the store, I have to wait
another day.
Don't feel that way.
Feel that you can get it done.
Just give us a call and we maybe able to help you and get it
all knocked out without youhaving to worry about finding a
ride, getting an Uber, anythinglike that.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Wow, wow, james, that's a really great
information.
Another question for you, andI'm sure a lot of listeners want
to know this too what kinds ofdocuments do customers typically
request for mobile notarization?

Speaker 3 (04:53):
From my experience, a lot of the mobile notaries
revolve around medical documentsand it's typically because the
individual signing is maybebedridden or maybe they're in
the hospital and they're facingsome really serious medical
situations and they're knowingthat they need to get some
paperwork handled pretty quickly.
But they don't have the meansto just get up and find a notary
or they may not even be allowed, they may not be discharged

(05:15):
from the hospital, they may bereally stuck where they're at.
So a lot of times medicaldocuments fall under the need
for mobile notary and sometimesit's just a matter of scheduling
.
Some people are like they're aone car family.
One person has a car, the otherone doesn't, but they need to
get these documents done andit's just a way to get it done
without having to wait foranother day to transpire.
If it's a Friday, it's now waitfor the weekend, things of that
nature.
Normally they are higherpriority items, I would say.

(05:38):
I would say one of the lowestpriority items I've notarized
here in the store was for afield trip for an elementary
school.
So I typically don't do thoseas far as a high priority mobile
basis.
But it can be anything.
It's not to say it's limited.
So if you have something that'sreal simple just a letter
you're signing stating astatement of fact, or stating
that you've been paying rentsomewhere, blah, blah, blah we
can do that too.

(05:58):
So don't feel like it has to besomething super high priority
or it has to fall under acertain guideline.
If it's a document that youneed to be notarized and you
have all your things in place, like your ID and your paperwork,
we can help you.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
How do you ensure privacy and security during
mobile notarizations?

Speaker 3 (06:18):
So the main thing with a mobile notary is that we
are meeting you where you prefer.
If you're asking for a mobilenotary, we're sure that you're
comfortable with us meeting you, whether it be at your home,
whether it be at a hospital, whether it be at your place of
work.
We, of course, we run that byyou and, as far as privacy,
everything that's done is justbetween you and the notary, so
the paperwork is going to beyour own paperwork.
It's just something that thenotary signed.

(06:39):
They're not taking anythingwith them.
They're not taking a copy ofyour ID, nothing like that.
It's just a typical notaryservice that you would do in
office, where your ID is shownto the notary to prove you are
who you are.
The documents are signed butgiven back to you.
So everything you keep isnothing that you really need to
worry about privacy leaking oranything of that matter, because
these are your documents thatjust simply get stamped and

(07:00):
certified so that they can beused for your purposes.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
