I first met Tahera at a “Blaze it Forward” event in Foothill Ranch when she came to support our family during a cleanup at the memorial park there. I was immediately interested in this self styled lifestyle “guru” who sings, writes books, raises kids, does public speaking, podcasts and finds time to run her health and wellness business. Tahera is an energetic mother of four and married to her high school sweetheart. She talks about her life and what brought her from her home in Oakland, California to Mission Viejo, California. Her company, Amour Propre, which means“Self-Love”in French, is a wellness and beauty brand centered in self-love, enhanced by science, inspired by nature and fueled by positive energy. She was inspired to create Amour Propre because she saw the decline of kindness and connectivity in society. She believes that if society is to come together, we must rediscover the art of loving our neighbors as ourselves. Out of a radical self-love movement can come a powerful community kindness initiative. Tahera is a sought out and renowned life coach and relationship expert. She is the host of a popular podcast called, Filter Free with Tahera Rene Christy. Available on Spotify, Apple iTunes, Amazon Music, Soundcloud and YouTube. She talks about various topics and centers them around relationships with self, family, friends and business. Tahera's self-published and released her debut album, Just Let Me in 2019, featuring 14 self-written, produced and sang by her and her team of musicians (Amazon). She developed her love for entertainment and her desire to motivate people towards success while attending a performing arts high school. Tahera received her degrees in Communication and Music from the California State University in Long Beach, where she emphasized the study of Rhetoric and Vocal Jazz. Tahera is an accomplished entrepreneur, author, singer, songwriter, actress, model, comedian, and emcee. You may recognize her from various television shows, TV commercials, movies, and local events. Tahera has published 2 relationship books highlighting her battle with self-worth and co-parenting: How To Deal With Yo Baby Daddy: A Woman's Guide To Effective Co-Parenting And Preservation Of Self is a comedy-based self-help book. A Safe Space For Us: Healing Journal for Women of Color, which highlights managing the stresses Women of Color endure beyond the ordinary battle’s other groups face. Unleashing Your Potential: Break Free from Limiting Beliefs and Self-Sabotaging Patterns Manifest The Sh!t: The Ultimate Manifestation & Gratitude Journal Tahera has had a successful career in entertainment and the best is yet to come!
