(00:00):
Is there some advice that you sort of learned along the way that you wish you had received when you first started out?

(00:05):
Yes, learn to let go sooner if it's not working out well.
I think all of us in business have had a client or a situation that we kind of knew at the back of our mind either with the relationship with the person or the business, or the situation you were in was not going to end well.
And or be very trying or time consuming, expensive. And I am the person who if I am contacted and said, can you help me with my insurance? I want to be able to do that.

(00:39):
So I want to please, I want to offer solutions. I want to be their answer and their solution. And that doesn't always happen.
But it takes a while to understand where we can be successful, how we can be successful, and when we might not be able to really help.
So it's learning how to say, I don't think that this is going to be that I'm going to have a good viable solution for you that is either going to be affordable or provide the correct coverage.

(01:10):
Or even in the case of the way I work with clients, I want it to be open communication on both sides. And if I'm not getting the information I need, how to be able to say, I need more information to effectively provide you with what you need and to benefit you.
And if I'm not getting that, then I'm not sure that we're a good fit for each other.

(01:34):
But how do we say that? How do we say that in a way? How do we learn to say that? And I think experience is what allows us to do that and recognize that as quickly as possible.
Yeah, something I have to remind myself as well all the time, if that nagging voice in the back of my head is saying this is probably not going to work, I probably should listen to it.
That's nagging me for a reason. You know, as the saying goes, but looks like a duck, it sounds like a duck probably is a duck.

(02:00):
Exactly.
Stay away from the ducks.
And you're right, that sixth sense or intuition or gut feeling, whatever we call it, is there for a reason. And the sooner we listen to it, usually the better off we are.
And it's right most of the time.
