(00:42):
Thanks for tuning in.
And welcome friends to our broadcast today.
And I'm just delighted to be able to present a very special guest today.

(01:03):
I'm super excited to welcome Karen Romine to the program.
Karen is a psychic, a medium, and a healer.
And she's found time in her very busy schedule to come and visit and share with us.
Karen has a very diverse and extremely interesting background.
She's an experienced psychic and medium, as we said, but she's also a psychic investigator

(01:29):
and she works with birth order, iridology, meditation, and therapeutic energy.
And if that wasn't enough, folks, she has several certifications that I'd like to tell
you about.
She has certifications in clinical applications of essential oils, comprehensive iridology.

(01:49):
She's certified as an angel guide and in automatic writing through level seven and as a crystal
energy therapist.
Wow.
That's pretty impressive and very diverse, but most significantly.
And how I know it came to meet Karen today is through the Lisa Williams School.

(02:13):
Karen is, she's certified as a healer, a psychic, and a medium, of course, and she's certified
most especially as a psychic investigator.
And that's where Karen and I met in the Lisa Williams School.
Shout out to Lisa.
And I'd like to read you something very interesting from her website.

(02:34):
Karen writes, I have found peace and joy working with individuals, giving them a connection
to their loved ones in spirit, helping them through the issues of here and now, and most
significantly helping them to explore their own abilities.
So we're going to get to a little bit later about it, but she has a mission statement

(02:58):
and Karen feels very, very passionate.
And Karen, I've gotten to know her and in addition to her many talents and abilities,
she's very warm and compassionate and empathic, but she has an acute sense of business acumen,
which is very impressive.
And this ties in beautifully with her mission, which she writes, my mission is to help women

(03:22):
uncover their psychic and mediumship gifts and master them.
And it's been fascinating getting to know Karen.
And so we're going to welcome her very warmly to the broadcast today, thank her for making
time in her busy schedule to come on and talk to us and share.
So welcome, Karen.
Thank you for having me, Pete.

(03:43):
My pleasure.
Absolutely.
And we were having a little of a sidebar before the broadcast today, sort of mapping out what
we would talk about.
And there's so much, so much in your wheelhouse, just from the list of certifications and your
educational background.
But also, I was very taken back about, and I'm always interested in the stories of the

(04:09):
beginnings, how people beginning.
And there's a little paragraph there on your website about your early beginnings when you're
teens.
Would you mind sharing a little bit of that with us today?
Sure.
I grew up in the Midwest where having psychic and mediumship abilities was just now.

(04:31):
And I was going to say it's not really well received, but I think the bigger picture there
is that it wasn't really well known.
And when people don't understand things, there tends to be a lot of fear around it.
When I was younger, I just knew things.

(04:52):
It wasn't anything special.
I believe that we all have that ability.
And I thought that it was normal and that everyone did that until I vocalized a few
things.
And I think it scared people around me.
And ultimately, I was told to shut it down.

(05:16):
And I probably didn't elaborate on my website, but I ended up getting, it was almost like
the path was so intentional.
I went to medical doctors and it was determined it was all in my head.
From there, my parents sent me to a self-hypnotist who taught me really my first mantra, positive

(05:44):
thinking brings me the results I want.
That was what he taught me.
And he said every time that I would start to come back in this space, I was supposed
to stop, take a deep breath and repeat positive thinking brings me the results I want.
And really, it just created a meditative space for me and ultimately just connected me back

(06:11):
into spirit.
So then I was sent to church as many people are, and I just developed this great further
connection with spirit.
It was perfect.
It lined me up perfectly to get here.

(06:33):
I didn't really express it.
I didn't talk about it.
And at about 19, I think I was 19, I moved out of the house and I moved to the big city.
I moved to Houston and somebody came into work one day and they said, hey, do you want
to go see a medium?

(06:54):
And I said, no, not really.
I'll go see a great, but I don't really feel like a medium.
What's a medium?
And she said, oh, this lady, she's going to talk to your dead people.
And I could have been knocked off the chair with a feather.
I said, she does this for a job?
This was not in college curriculum.

(07:15):
So we went to go see my first medium, Sylvia Radford.
God bless her heart.
She's crossed over.
And all I knew when I left that house was that I wanted to grow up and be Sylvia Radford.
Oh my goodness.
Wow.

(07:36):
What an experience.
Yeah.
It was beautiful, really.
It was so eye opening.
It brought everything back for me.
She confirmed everything.
It was like I never missed a beat.
Wow.
That's amazing.
And that resonates so much with me personally, Karen, because I'm getting forclumped a little

(07:59):
bit because it mirrors my...
There was things that happened in my life that led me along.
And church was integral to what I was doing in my spirituality.
And I was searching.
And then I went to John Edward, who was in Buffalo, where I live in Western New York.
And it just cracked me wide open.

(08:20):
And after that, there was no turning back.
I just knew.
I had been exposed to it.
You and I use the word passion continuously.
And it ignited that passion that I can sort of feel that you have.
So wow, that's amazing.
Thank you for sharing that.
Did he read for you?

(08:41):
Tell me.
You've got to tell me.
Come on.
So here's the story.
Here's my story.
And this is about you.
So I don't want to take any time.
Come on.
Tell me.
He called on me.
He was in the group and he kept pointing back.
And I had put...
I'll tell you the old story.
I had debated in the kitchen whether or not I was going to wear a ball cap or not, because
they said dress warmly.
So I put the ball cap on, but I took the ball cap off, put it on, took it off.

(09:03):
Couldn't decide.
So I get into the event.
I sit down and the ball cap's on.
And he comes over after about 20 minutes and he says, I'm with the guy back there with
the ball cap on.
And immediately 30 people around me put their ball caps on.
He says, no, no, it's you.
And he's pointing to me and I was frozen.
I froze stiff.
And he said...
And I had told my loved ones, because I had read enough about this to say, if you come

(09:28):
prepared, I'd say make a certain gesture or bring up a certain topic.
And he did.
He brought up all of them.
And I was so God smacked and awestruck.
I couldn't speak.
So I left.
I left there.
And as I'm walking out, I can hear my brother's voice saying, well, I tried.

(09:49):
I gave it the two sentences you wanted.
I gave it...
I did what you asked me to do, but you just didn't respond.
I was like, oh, okay.
I got a lot more than I bargained for.
But that was sort of analogous to what you had expressed.
Oh, I love that.
Thank you for sharing that.
I love that.
I love to hear people's stories because I think it helps us when we're reading for people

(10:15):
or working with people to understand.
We know our own stories.
And it's so important to understand how we all get here.
And I think it's so important for all of your listeners to know we all come from different
directions, but we all get here.
That's right.
See, folks, do you see what I mean?

(10:35):
Right there.
That's priceless.
Write that down, you guys.
And I always say that.
I can agree that we can't deny our own experiences because they're what we know to be valid.
And so, yeah, so for better or worse, my experience, you can blame or you can thank John Edwards
though.

(10:56):
Oh my gosh.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But you know, it's our early influences and those people who kind of guide us and provide.
And I loved that the hypnotist was the person who sort of just gave you that mantra that
just helped you just kind of thrive and grow and gave you a vehicle to use.

(11:16):
And of course, that's what we use continuously, our mantras and different meditations.
So, yeah, how exciting, how interesting.
Let's talk about those things that you're passionate about, your mission to help women.
And I know that we've talked about, you said you had 30 years of experience in corporate

(11:40):
America and then you had sort of a dramatic transition that you made, you know, change,
the transition from one to the other.
And tell us about that.
Well, I did spend over 30 years in corporate America in a very entrepreneurial role the
entire time.

(12:02):
I was in startups and working with companies that were in stress.
They weren't some sort of transition.
And I always had a knowing, but I did not connect it to a psychic ability.
I just knew that it worked for me.

(12:25):
So I followed a very disjointed path that wasn't traditional at all.
And I guess about, well, I know 2017, by 2017, I knew that I had abilities.
I had had the readings, I was exploring it, I was testing it.

(12:49):
I'm very much a skeptic.
So I was testing myself, testing spirit all the time.
And my father passed in 2017.
And I had a message and I met with him in the middle of his transition.
And it changed the way that I grieved because I realized what the situation was going to

(13:16):
be.
And I was able to have this beautiful conversation with him before he transitioned.
And I decided at that point that if I could make that kind of an impact on myself, that
I needed to share that with other people.

(13:38):
It was such an eye opener for me.
It was so convincing and so solid.
And I knew all of this to be true, that I called my business partner and I said, hey,
I realize this might sound silly.
I know it's March, but I am going to be completely out of the day to day work by December.

(14:06):
And I am going to go talk to dead people.
And he said, I am so excited for you.
That is right where you belong.
And it was the first time I'd ever said those words.
It was a first made ever really.
And it was as much for me as it was for him.
I needed to put it out there so that I would start making the move.

(14:31):
And I started taking classes.
I found Lisa Williams right away.
Started taking classes, started exploring everything.
And I would do these practice readings and people would say, yes.
Oh my gosh, how'd you know?
I would say, I don't know how I knew.
Oh my gosh, really?

(14:51):
I was so excited at everything.
And I still have that.
I still have that joy of doing readings and working with people.
But ultimately, as you mentioned, my goal, as much as I want to normalize talking to
dead people, that's a big, big part of what I want the world to know.

(15:19):
I want it to be normalized so that people can understand and help them through their
personal grief and everything.
But my true passion is working with female entrepreneurs and helping them to understand

(15:39):
their psychic abilities.
Because at the end of the day, they're all multitasking.
They're making decisions.
They're trying to figure out who the best employee is, what the best launch is, how
to make a deadline.

(16:00):
And I realized that none of them hesitate to go to an accountant if they have financial
questions or a lawyer if they have legal questions.
I thought, why are they not going to a psychic to help them boost their bottom line?
So by helping them to tune in to those psychic abilities, what I've realized is that it helps

(16:23):
them to make their decisions quicker.
They follow their instinct.
They follow their gut.
They follow that psychic feeling.
And in turn, it saves them time, which is their most valuable commodity.
So now, they're finding more time to be with their family, finding more time in the day

(16:47):
to work through things.
They are making better decisions and in turn boosting their bottom line.
I want to work myself out of a job with every female entrepreneur.
I want them to learn to trust that voice and take off with it.

(17:08):
That is utterly amazing and so unique.
And I love the logic, because of course, you're a professional.
And if they need these kinds of skills, these psychic abilities, you identify them for them,
and then you hand them to them.
And then that actually helps facilitate their business success, doesn't it?
Absolutely.
And then having the experience in business in so many different aspects, it helps me

(17:32):
also just to do business coaching, traditional business coaching in things or help them to
get set up or help them to get the forms they need or understand bigger pictures sometimes.
But that my ultimate goal is to help them to learn to listen to their own intuition.
That is utterly amazing.
I can't say enough about that because it's so unique.

(17:54):
I mean, I just don't know of anybody out there now who's going to integrate this business
plans and those sort of things in with the psychic.
And of course, you have both.
You're able to do that for them and help.
It's amazing.
Yeah.
And I know you enjoy it because you say you've got a big smile.

(18:15):
I am grinning ear to ear.
I light up when I talk about this.
I feel such a passion about it.
It's a matter of fact, just as odd as it sounds, I recently spoke at a luncheon for men and

(18:36):
men are men express their skepticism more than women.
Women are just as skeptical, but they don't forwardly.
They're more polite about it.
I think we feel this people, please or think so at this luncheon, I was talking to these
men and they're all just for everybody who's listening.

(18:59):
I'm crossing my arms across my chest and I'm leaning back in my chair and they're all tilting
their head, looking at me saying, who brought this person in?
It's going to talk to us about intuition and business.
And by the end of that luncheon, I had them all laughing and talking and introducing me

(19:21):
to their staff, their business partners, they got it.
They understood it.
And it's just, I believe it's because I'm so excited about it that I could talk to anybody
about it.
I could talk to a brown paper bag about it and be just as excited because I know it works.
Right.

(19:42):
Exactly.
And you also know your audience.
You understand that culture of those gentlemen that were in that room and you know how they
think in the business world, to do to make a pitch that will be effective and that they'll
be inspired by.
That's one thing you're a natural at, inspiring other people.
And I'm sure when they left that meeting, there was a lot of very animated discussions

(20:06):
on the car ride home about the different things.
And isn't that wonderful?
That's one of the things that we do as psychics and mediums and as healers.
We empower other people to flourish and become the best version of themselves.
Isn't that great?
Yeah.
I love that.
I love that we get to do that every day.

(20:27):
Yeah.
There's one phrase of yours that I just really love and I want to tell the listeners.
Time is our most valuable commodity.
And that wouldn't be wasted on that room of men at all.
They would appreciate that right way.
That value system of time is money sort of thing.
And we have that to our psychics and professional mediums.
We value our clients' time and money.

(20:48):
So yeah, it's very grounded, healthy approaches in it.
Yeah.
Time is so significant.
And by using our intuition, there's one sense that we're saving time because we're sitting
at our desk at work and we need to make a decision quicker.
And more thorough and feel safer with that decision making process.

(21:13):
So if we're able to listen to our gut and make it quicker, in that sense, we've just
made money because now we've done that quicker.
But the other side of that, particularly with women, is that we have other, we have family,
oftentimes children, parents, as our parents are aging and we're trying to care for our

(21:38):
parents, that time becomes very important.
If I had one extra hour every single day and we tend to not take care of ourselves, more
we're putting ourselves last to make sure everything else gets done.
So my theory is, is if I can find an extra hour in all of their days by just tweaking,

(22:00):
tightening up a little bit, that they can go for a walk or go to yoga or go do just
sit and breathe, meditate, whatever that is that they want to do at that hour that cares
for themselves holistically, it will make not just their life better, but every life

(22:22):
that they touch.
And I think that what you and I do in this work as psychics and mediums, that sometimes
we realize right in front of us what that impact is, because people say, oh my gosh,
they react.
Oh my gosh, yes, that's my dad.
Oh my gosh, how do you know that?
So we see that right there.
What we don't see sometimes is this ripple effect of that person going back into their

(22:49):
space and being in a whole new perspective, their energy changes and how it ripples through
everybody around them.
So I really believe that as energetic beings that we really have a much bigger impact than

(23:09):
we realize sometimes.
I couldn't agree more because, and that's what energizes us and keeps us motivated is
when we experience the change in other people and when they can enjoy the benefits of the
work that we do.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Wow.
And folks, if you're listening to this, Karen is so authentic because she knows she understands

(23:35):
both sides of this and she can talk about it because she's done it.
So she's got, again, the authenticity of knowing the effects, these kinds of things.
And of course that gives us a lot of courage.
It gives us a lot of encouragement.
It's very exciting.
Thanks.
So Karen, I just want to go on.
There's lots of stuff.

(23:55):
This is just one little piece of what you do.
And we've sort of been talking conceptually of what it is, but practically you have some
stuff available to allow people to get engaged with you, to work with you.
And I'd like to talk about some of those if you don't mind.
And I know you have, there's two special things that make you very unique.
And one is called your mentorship program.

(24:16):
I'm going to invite you to tell us a little bit more about that.
And the second one is the soulful strategy sessions.
I was captivated when I found those on your website because I thought this is so unique.
This is just wonderful.
And of course you're the perfect person to do it.
And it doesn't surprise anybody right now that this is something that you would manifest

(24:37):
for all of us.
You know, it's, we have to share this.
So tell us a little bit about both of those things, the mentorship and the soulful strategy.
Absolutely.
They ultimately tie together.
So I started this mentorship by working with people.
Let me think of a couple of examples for you.

(24:59):
I had a client that I was doing mentorship for.
She came to me actually for a mediumship reading and ended up being a business client.
Her business partner passed and he ran one side of the business.
She ran the other side of the business and he came through in a reading.

(25:20):
And she realized that she could now communicate with him and that he had set up someone within
the business because I think he really had a gut feel that his life would be shortened.
It was a very sudden passing.
So there was no passing of the baton.
And he said, here's my game plan.

(25:42):
Here's the person I've been grooming.
Here's the person you talked to.
So it led straight into this mentorship program.
And it's worked out beautifully for us because we do mediumship readings and psychic readings
and business coaching and looking at all angles for her while we're also teaching her to use
her own intuition.

(26:05):
And her business is continuing to thrive.
It just took a momentary dip when she panicked and then came to me for the reading.
So I've got another client who came to me and said in the middle of a psychic reading
again and we were talking.
And suddenly I said, oh, you've got two women that are working with you.

(26:30):
And one of them is pretty significant and she's going to be leaving.
She said, no, no, she's not going to be leaving.
You should come with me forever.
I said, now is the time to prepare for plan B.
Well, I got a call and she said, oh my gosh, she left.
So it was a perfect segue into this mentorship and she became a mentorship client.

(26:55):
But what I realized is that a lot of people don't have that segue.
Oh my gosh, apparently my dog is coming to see us.
Sorry.
I don't know if you just heard her bark.
It was a perfect segue into mentorship.
And in that path of that, I thought, you know what?
So many people don't have that opportunity.

(27:17):
So what if I do these soulful conversations?
Really, it's really, it's just a conversation and I offer them for free so that you can
come and say to me, here's my situation.
Now I don't do a reading in that, but I explain things and talk you through things and show

(27:44):
you what that path could be and how it could work so that you can make it all happen.
And you don't have to run the expense with that because just like me, I'm a skeptic.
So you can explore in a conversation to see how it might work for you and see it for you

(28:09):
because I want this to be normal.
And the only way for it to be normal is for you to see it in your life, in your space
and how it could apply to you.
So yeah, on my website, you can book this free reading and come and tell me where you're
at, what your story is, what your situation is, and we can talk about how this might work

(28:33):
for you.
And we should mention the website is karenromine.com and Romine is R-O-M-I-N-E and you can reach
Karen or email hello at karenromine.com.
That's utterly fascinating.
Thank you.
That's so unique.
And I'm so excited that you got to share this with me today because everything we do here

(28:57):
is spirit driven.
And so we're utilizing spirit using the benefits and the gifts of spirit to make this relatable
for people.
And I'm just so captivated by all that you've been able to achieve and harvest with just
the tools at hand and you make it sound so natural.

(29:19):
Some of us in the back of the box try to catch up.
It just flowed perfectly for me and I wish I had me whenever I was exploring.
And so that is a big part of how I came to be where I'm at, is just recognizing the value

(29:43):
that the information can give you and then through that realizing, gosh, I wish I would
have had that or I wish I would have understood my own.
It's very, very hard for people to read themselves.
I think that's the hardest thing ever, right?
Because if I give you information, I give it to you from spirit.

(30:08):
There's no, it just comes straight through.
It is how it is.
It's exactly what it is.
But what I think is so interesting is that when then I read for myself, I'm like, oh,
it says to turn right up there, but I know, I know there's a school zone over there and

(30:30):
I know that there's people parked on the curb.
It's all this baggage that we bring in our own lives.
So getting someone to listen to their own voice and to trust it is also quite a journey
because we don't trust ourselves and our brain doesn't think it's safe.

(30:51):
And we talked about that a little bit the other day, training our brain to know that
this is safe.
So it's all a journey.
I'd love to teach people how to do it.
Sure.
And you just glow, you just glow with that.
And you're absolutely right.
It's a fact that we get in our own ways.

(31:13):
We can't usually doctor here, myself, but I think this is pure goal, folks, is what
Karen's giving us today.
And it is spirit driven.
So Karen, there's another thing we touched on and I'd like to just flip the page back
if I want.
One of the things that you enjoy doing is I think you said you like to help people experience

(31:35):
working with you because you have an attitude or a very, very nice or a very healthy approach
to mediumship, which I admire tremendously.
And I've learned a lot just in our times just visiting.
And you say, I like to normalize talking to dead people.
Is that correct?
Is that the right phrase to use?
Yeah.

(31:56):
Absolutely.
That's what I tell people I do when somebody says, hey, nice to meet you.
What do you do?
I say, oh, I normalize talking to dead people.
And you can tell in that moment if they're receptive or not, they're either curious or
they lean back just a hair and you talk about the weather.
That's right.
Oh, that's what I was going to say.

(32:17):
See, I knew if I just kept going, they would come back.
So this is how you just manifested your own talent because, which is psychics and mediums
and healers, our feelers are out and we're empathic and we're compassionate.
But those forces, those abilities, those energies come into play when you engage a client.

(32:40):
And so it's more than talking to like the banker or the candlestick maker or somebody,
the shoemaker.
It's all of these other things that we bring this value that we have here and that you
just so naturally and so warmly.
I just want to throw you a curve ball if you don't mind.
You didn't ask for this.
We didn't discuss it.
But folks, she gets a point, extra point for Karen.

(33:05):
There's very, very few people on the planet that I can talk to about something that we
mentioned very, very early on, which is automatic writing.
I'm fascinated by automatic writing.
I've read everything I could possibly find.
I practice automatic writing.
I know you're certified in it.
It's a specialized kind of tool.
And I found that it's very, very effective.

(33:28):
Would you mind just talking a little bit about that, sharing some of your experience and
your knowledge about automatic writing?
Sure.
It's for people who really know me, they laugh when they find out that I'm certified in that
because I will oftentimes say, my name is Karen and I eat journaling.

(33:53):
They tell you, oh, this is how you're going to get it off your chest.
This is how you're going to understand it.
Just write it all down.
Yeah.
You're making the gesture.
Me too.
Me too.
I'm telling you, I have dozens of gorgeous journals that are blank inside because I don't
want to make a mess of it.

(34:15):
So I started trying, really trying, I had to force myself to start journaling.
And I journaled in a very different way.
I'll just say bullet points, just to get my thought down, trying to unload it off of me.
And they started to realize the impact of writing, even in this very broken, this bothered

(34:43):
me, that didn't, and now I'm over it or I'm still not over it, bullet points in my journal.
I started to also realize that sometimes I would see what I wrote in a different perspective,
meaning my head would say, oh, that makes me so mad.

(35:06):
And I would write, it kind of aggravated me that that happened.
I'm like, oh, aggravated me.
I was mad.
Why am I just aggravated?
So I started to realize the power of the words and what was happening.
Then I started to question, where were those words coming from?
Because my brain was not thinking aggravated.

(35:31):
My brain was thinking, man, am I mad.
So I meditate a lot.
I have meditated since I was very young, positive thinking brings me the results I want in myself,
I'm a hypnotist person.
And in the meditation, I get a lot of messages.
So I trained myself initially and ultimately took a lot of courses and spent a lot of time.

(35:58):
I call it channeling through writing is what I call it.
It's not where I have any control.
It's not where I have any thought.
It's not where I have any intention in the words.
So I will meditate and put myself into a space.

(36:22):
And people think, you know, when I teach them how to meditate or when we work on that, oh,
what do I need to wear?
How do I need to sit?
How do I need to hold my hands?
And so for me, I would hold my hand holding a pen with paper in front of me, and I would
just wait to see what would happen.
I would come out of a meditation and would have pages sometimes written.

(36:46):
So I took some time and worked with some people that were really very focused on automatic
writing and how that flows.
And I was also at that point really finding out who my guides were.
And in my very human space, I like a name for my guides, like our guides could care

(37:11):
less about that.
That's a very human thing.
Who needs a name?
Just take the message.
But I started asking for them when I would go into the meditation to sign what they were
sending to me so that I could start to see who I was channeling and what my messages

(37:33):
were and how that or why that was coming through.
Because I have some guides that are very focused on healing, some that are very focused on
mediumship readings, some that I have that are very focused on business.
So I might get a message and think it to be all about business when indeed it's all around

(37:57):
healing.
I see.
So I now have asked them to start to sign whenever I'm done with automatic writing.
I've watched people do it and I have recorded myself to see what happens because I'm curious

(38:24):
how spirit does that, how they can take over our body like that.
Because I don't have any recollection of the writing.
It's truly something that just comes through me.
I stand out here, this vessel does whatever spirit guides it to do.

(38:47):
And then I come back into my body and I read it and have my human experience around it.
I think that it is a, I wonder what the right word would be.
I think it's maybe been one of the biggest growing experiences for me because my name
is Karen and I'm a bit of a control freak.

(39:12):
And so to get out of my body and let something take over and do that is, it's really quite
fascinating.
And I look at the recording and I look just like me and you're just sitting here talking.
But there's another process going on under the covers, right?

(39:32):
Yeah.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
Sure.
And isn't that fascinating?
I mean, how that works and it's a real thing.
Again, we can't deny that experience and yet it adds so much value.
And so you're trying to, and that's your scientific nature, I think too, that you always want
to know the how and the why and look at the mechanisms like what's going on and where

(39:52):
does this lead back to?
Just because it's important to know and understand how it does.
Yeah.
That's fascinating.
Thank you so much for answering my question.
I love automatic writing and you described it utterly perfectly in ways that I couldn't.
So I think it makes us better at what we do because not only are we learning about a new

(40:20):
aspect, but we're also learning about what we do, which is completely relinquish ourselves
to spirit.
And I also think that it's another way of our brains learning to trust and becoming
more and more open to the process.
Absolutely.
I concur with that a hundred percent because I'm always like, let me do it.

(40:43):
There's something pulling me to say, let me do it.
I got it.
Let me just, and I just have to get out of my own way and relinquish, you mentioned control,
relinquish the control and it starts to flow.
And then when I start to get in my way is when the flow stops.
And that's a normal thing.
And we have to teach ourselves.
We actually have to work at that.
And funny things we do to teach ourselves that it's safe.

(41:08):
Starting from a business background, when I first started doing this and I do readings,
I would be in a panic because a person would be coming on and I wouldn't be prepared.
I only knew their first name intentionally.
I had, I didn't know if they had any dead people.
I didn't know if they were going to want a psychic or a mediumship reading.

(41:29):
I still don't, that's still how I do it, but I felt like I needed to be prepared.
And so I would be so nervous and then they would come on energetically.
We would connect.
Everything would go well.
I would get off the reading and think, wow, I can't believe that just happened like that.
And then, and then I would tell myself stories.

(41:52):
So I'd say, okay, this person's going to come on and I would create, I should write like
fairy tales or something.
I would create this fantastical story so that my brain would be like, okay, she's making
a plan.
It's all safe.
Everything's good.
And then the person would come on and it would be nothing to do with any of that, but it

(42:14):
would just flow so much easier because I felt like I was preparing.
Absolutely.
Sure.
Yeah.
And in part of our training with Lisa Williams, she describes in forensics about how we create
in our minds mentally, we create the Hollywood drama.
Oh, different scenes.
And so, and that's something we just have to contend with because it's a normal natural

(42:35):
thing, but we have to step behind the screen of the drama and look at the reality of it.
You know, Pete, that is so true.
And it's particularly as we both know from doing that course, it's very easy to dramatize
or to fill in to create the storyline in between.

(42:59):
And it's not our story to tell.
No, absolutely.
And you know, this ties in perfectly what we talked about automatic writing because
I don't even look, now you're the expert, not me, but I don't even look at what I wrote
until afterwards, maybe hours afterwards.
And I'll try to connect the dots and see if any of it makes any sense.
And I thought it doesn't need to make sense to me if it was in the service of spirit,

(43:20):
number one, or if it assisted the client, that's all the value it has really.
And yeah, you know, it could just be gobbledygook or it's just some shapes.
And oftentimes it won't even filter into my memory.
It just seeps away when I close the channel, it sort of dissipates, it's gone.
Again, the control is like, oh, no, no, I got to understand.
Let me write that down.

(43:42):
Yes, absolutely.
And I always say I set an intention before I read, I'm sure you do the same.
And part of that intention for me is that it makes sense to you.
It doesn't need to make sense to me.
It just needs to make sense to you.

(44:02):
Sure, absolutely.
Yeah.
You know, in saying it, we all feel the fraudulence sometimes.
I do, I'll speak for myself.
I sort of feel like I know that doesn't make sense, but I'll qualify it.
I'll just bookend it by saying, you may not make it, this may not sound right, but it's
like sugar coating it.
And as I grow and I mature and I improve, because we all continually improve, I stop

(44:25):
doing that.
I'm just giving it out, putting it out there and letting them take it with regardless.
And I've had a reading with a professional psychic myself and I had psychic amnesia.
The person mentioned my trainer's name and I sat there with, I love it.
I love when that happens because I'd love to watch the whole big, I have to share.

(44:49):
Can I share a reading?
Of course.
Absolutely.
I have to share.
I had a reading with this gentleman and I said, here's the most important thing.
Never had a reading before.
I said, just be open because sometimes we get so cornered in on who it is we want to
talk to that we miss other messages.

(45:11):
So this message, this gentleman comes through for the guy I'm reading for and I tell him,
I said, he's, he's, he's taken his life.
He's worked with you.
He calls you as brother in arms.
You wore the same uniform.
He's this, he's that.
I go through this whole list.

(45:31):
I mean, spirit is so crystal clear for me.
And the guy the whole time is like, no, no, no, no.
I'm starting to think I'm crazy and that I have lost all ability to connect with spirit.
If spirit wasn't so crystal clear for me.
So finally I said to spirit, give me one more thing that better be big.

(45:55):
Cause then I got to drop you because he has no idea who you are.
So I said to him, I said to the guy I was reading for, I said, were you out on your
back porch last night?
He said, yes.
I said, were you home alone?
He said, yes.
I said, did you see a shooting star last night?
He said, yes.
And he's looking at me like, what are you doing?

(46:17):
Stop giving me.
I said, did you drop the F bomb?
And he said, yes.
And did you ask at that moment, is this my friend from work?
And his eyes got huge.
I said, you've got to go back to watch this whole recording.

(46:39):
He's been delivering this beautiful message for you.
He wanted to talk to his grandfather.
Oh, of course.
Yeah.
And he was, he's like, no, that's not my grandfather.
Nope.
Didn't work with my grandfather.
Nope.
Nope.
Nope.
Nope.
Nope.
Nope.
I love psychic amnesia when it comes all the way through on the other side.
I love to see that happen.

(46:59):
That's right.
And we're stuck in the middle.
We're like, wait, wait, wait, what am I getting wrong?
Wait just a second.
Oh, I just love that.
Thank you so much.
So folks, if you're listening to this and you're getting some inside little inside perspectives
about the inner workings of making this happen.

(47:21):
And Karen's been doing this for quite a while.
And I'm a newbie sort of, but there's a lot of blood, sweat, and tears.
There's a lot of money invested, a lot of time and hard work.
This doesn't come easy.
We're laughing and joking and having a good time about now because we're veterans.

(47:42):
We've been through these courses, but we're never through learning.
We're always, always challenging ourselves to do more stuff and to grow and to encourage
other people to grow as well.
So yeah.
And to be the best that we can be because when people come to us, those people don't
come to us because everything's great and they have no questions in life.

(48:05):
There's something going on and they're trusting us to hold their secrets, their stories, their
loved ones, everything in our hands for them.
And that we're taking, you and I are taking the time, other people that have been on your
show that I know are taking the time to educate and continue to make sure that we're the best

(48:30):
that we can be for people in that space.
It's so important.
Absolutely.
And that's the key.
You mentioned trust because engaging with a client, when they can trust you, the energy
flows.
I find the reading goes a lot better and they enjoy more.
Sometimes it takes two or three times.

(48:50):
They'll come back the third time and that's when the magic starts to happen after they
develop the trust.
And more than having that relationship with the client is that they're helped.
That's the real motive.
That's the giveaway or the takeaway for us is the fact that the client is healed a little
bit and helped in some way that keeps us going.

(49:10):
That motivates us.
That's the fire in our bellies, right?
I think Spirit just got you too on that.
It is the takeaway, but just like you said, I think it's also the giveaway.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
There's so much.
This has been a fascinating, I knew it would be an experience today.
It's like going to a theme park and getting on the ride and let's go to this one, let's

(49:33):
go to that one.
It's been just that exciting and that's stimulating.
And again, we want to encourage people to reach out because there's so much available.
It's karenromine.com and the email is hello at karenromine.com.
And don't be shy.
Karen's very accessible.
Yes, absolutely.
Email me if you have questions, if you're considering, if you feel like the Soulful

(49:59):
Strategy session is something that's a good fit for you.
I invite you to book a session.
It's free and you'll see that on my website.
You can read a little bit about what a mentorship might look like if you have questions about
anything.
Don't hesitate to reach out to me.
Absolutely.
Sure.

(50:20):
I'm extremely generous with your time today and I can't thank you enough for coming out
and sharing everything.
It's been, again, it's just gold.
And I really, really appreciate it and hope this isn't the last time.
I invite you again to come in and share some more.
We can continue the conversation and unpack some more stuff.
Well, I mean, there's just so many different things we can discuss.

(50:40):
Anyway, I'm going to interview you on the next one.
The man behind the microphone is Psycho Pete.
Psychic Investigator.
Psycho Pete.
Yeah, you know, I take a lot of kidding about that because a lot of people will take in

(51:02):
the gym and, you know, at work, people say Psycho Pete.
So I'm like, oh, for you, it's okay.
It makes you feel comfortable.
Right.
Yeah.
So, but it cracks open that it gets the conversation going.
I never disregard anybody who says something like that because just like you said earlier,
that could be the nudge from spirit to say something to me, to open it up a little bit,

(51:25):
just like that hypnotist, you know, gave you that mantra.
You know, it just takes a little bit sometimes to, and that's all I needed.
You know, nobody had to push me too hard.
Right.
Right.
Oh, geez.
Well, this has been really, really wonderful and fun.
Again, I'm hoping I'll invite you back to come back sometime.

(51:45):
I would love it.
Yeah, it was my pleasure.
And again, the website for the last time is going to be karenremind.com and hello at karenremind.com.
And folks, don't be shy, be brave and reach out and have a conversation, have a chat,
just start.
And this is your nudge.
This is a sign if you're sitting out there and you're listening to this or you're hearing

(52:07):
this broadcast, use your gut, use your intuition.
This could be the sign that you've been looking for, been waiting for, you know, and Karen's
available.
Take advantage of it.
Okay.
Karen, thank you again.
We're going to wish you all the best in all your endeavors and in future successes with
all the things that's going on.
Okay.

(52:28):
Thanks, Pete.
Same to you.
Take care.
Bye for now.
You've been listening to the Psychic Pete Live Online Radio broadcast.
I hope you've enjoyed the show.
Please tune in again for more interesting episodes.

(52:50):
