My name is Flip Barrientos, and I am a US Army combat veteran, convicted felon, college student, advocate, and independent storyteller exploring life, human experience, and the search for meaning through stories lived and told. Remnants and Rye is a space for conversations, reflections, journalism, storytelling, and lived experience shaped by failure, growth, and curiosity. It exists as an ongoing attempt to better understand both the world around us and the one within by exploring difficult questions and challenging inherited narratives. Here you’ll find stories from the road and from home, conversations with musicians, artists, veterans, convicts, politicians, and everyday people I’ve met along the way.
